    In today's video, I install the Boomba Racing Blow Off Valve Adapter to give the Fiesta ST a little drama when rowing through the gears. I didn't install it for performance or fuel economy. I installed it because it's such a laugh to hear that distinctive noise turbo cars make. I understand if you think I'm a moron for installing this BOV adapter on my FiST but it's my car and that's that.
    This high performance adapter mounts between the OEM bypass valve/solenoid and the stock turbo, causing the unused charge air to vent to atmosphere (VTA) giving off the well known, but distinct sound all turbo owners know and love! The adapter bolts right in with the included longer bolts, no other modifications or tuning are required. Precision CNC machined out of billet aluminum and available in 4 different colors.
    Installation is simple and all mounting hardware is included

    This video is simple, no gimmicks, straight to the point. Thanks man!
    Side note: My install took me 3 hrs because i did not tighten well enough and i rqged by guzzling a gallon of cold apple juice then angrily went under and re-installed it properly lol. It was my first time going under the car. I came from a jeep and an isuzu so never was scared of a car falling on me. Lol

    Do you remember the size of the original bolts? I'm thinking of removing the adapter that came with my car when I bought it.

      Ooh, I don't actually. Lowe's has a great thread finder tool in their stores. If you remove one of them from the recirc valve, the car should still drive fine enough to get you there. Obviously nothing long term and try to keep it out of boost but they should have something that'll work.

    How many set screws did you leave in?

  • @ridgid859

    Awesome walk through install. I'll be doing a rear motor mount and the 50/50 bov install tomorrow so this should help. I'm surprised you can see the valve from the inner fender area. No panels or anything to remove?

    • @MustangsbyMatt
      @MustangsbyMatt  Před 5 lety +1

      Just remove the wheel. Although THAT isn't strictly necessary as the valve can be accessed above or below. There really is tons of room.

    • @ridgid859
      @ridgid859 Před 5 lety +1

      @@MustangsbyMatt tons of room? Lol I can't even get to the closest allen bolt. Can't see anything in there and can barely fit one arm in there.

  • @MostroLivello
    @MostroLivello Před 4 lety

    You should make a video on how you got your arms underneath, I can't reach the back screw with my extended wrench. Or even with my hands

    • @MustangsbyMatt
      @MustangsbyMatt  Před 4 lety

      Are you talking about the most rearward screw? You need either a Allen key or a long Allen key socket.

    Is the BOV for the ST MK8 at the same place on the car? 🙂

    • @MustangsbyMatt
      @MustangsbyMatt  Před 4 lety

      Yeah, I do believe it's in the same location. The turbo might have moved around a little bit but the BOV is in the same place on the turbo.

    Just curious, is there any tuning required for this mod? Waiting on the access port but dont want to run it as is if it will make the car boggy

    I Will remove my Boomba haha. When I buyed the car in january this "thing" is already installed and it's so annoying....
    Quick question! Do you remember the size of the original bolt?
    And metric or imperial ?

      @MustangsbyMatt  Před 4 lety

      Metric. I understand what you mean. It's incredibly fun on the highway but at parking garage speeds, it can bring unwanted attention to yourself.

      Oh yes. Ford didn't change much on the Fiesta in the 8 or so years it was offered in the USA.

    Do you know if this will this void your warranty?

    • @MustangsbyMatt
      @MustangsbyMatt  Před 5 lety

      It will not void the warranty. You're simply redirecting the excess boost to the atmosphere instead of the intake system.
