Turning a Dollar Store Toy Into Glutton Demons!

  • I was looking though my box of stuff I’ve collected over the years and figured I would makes bits from them. And while cutting these dollar store lizards I realized the bodies would make for some awesome monsters. Toy conversion time.
First step was to make this look more like a mouth.
I’m using modeling apoxy for this, and to be honest, after this project I think I’ll be using this for most of my conversions. This thing dries like a rock. If you have kept up with my clay relationships here on the channel you will noticed that I pretty much worked with everything. I tend to mix sculpting material depending on what’s best for the situation. So far my favorites have to be apoxy.
At this time this was my first time working with this type of apoxy and I could already tell I was going to love this. The detail I’m able to add to this is next level. To make it easier on myself I decided to try it out on a small project like this where I’m using the apoxy more as an add on to an already existing object versus me starting something from scratch.

You deserve more subs. Your content is great. Awesome creations and great narration. Can't ask for more. You even put me on to cold porcelain which I'm about to make tomorrow. I love having options.

I wasn't tempted by the thumbnail, but by the fact that it was you Franky who posted the video. You delivered yet again! I enjoyed every minute of it! Keep it up.

The humanoid teeth make this more disturbing! *Shivers* It gives me some Attack on Titan vibes too, which is also freaky. Maybe you should be "Freaky D Crafter" lol. Nice build mate

Those look great Franky! I've been thinking of using a similar technique to make a Thessal Hydra for the Stranger Things box set adventure.
