The Butler Township Commissioner says the SS Director is Lying that the Building the Shooter was on was the responsibility was the Local PD. I believe when leaders or anyone who interacts with the press who refer to themselves in the 3rd person was to use the written word to create doubt because if a reader were to quickly read or skim an article paying attention to quotes and then seeing a quote not knowing it was from themselves using 3rd third person "person of interest is innocent of blah blah blah." If the reader was not paying close attention the quote could be misconstrued as someone else stating the quote. I believe it is a clever strategy not crazy self engrandising.
