      That is awesome! My daughter is 12 and has done a few kids' tris. She loves it. She tells me that she will do an Ironman at age 18 and says to me, "I'll wait for you at the finish." đŸ€Ł

    I feel for you. I got hit by a car while crossing on a bike path 3 weeks ago and ad to undergo surgery for a tibial fracture. I am hating life. Keep your spirits up and keep moving forward. We will eventually heal. Enjoy the rest, at least that's what I'm being told 🙂

    Thanks for sharing! It’s awesome to see how you’ve been getting on through your injury. As for the merch, I’d love a headband for when I go on those runs where I don’t want the sweat pouring into my eyes and maybe a beanie. I love the idea of socks and swim caps too.

    Hi Lucy! Nice to see your new video again. I've also used a muscle electrostimulator and it helped the recovery well, with a bit of gymnastics exercise and rest and time and everything will be fine. You're young, and you're very much alive, and you're recovering faster. Wish you a lot of strength and quick improvement, lots of wins still ahead of you waiting!!!     Great to see that your recovery is going well. I suffered a stress fracture to my tibia the week after your injury. My first injury of this type and although I’m far from an elite athlete I can relate to just how disappointing it is. I’m absolutely gutted and have had to withdraw from numerous events including Leeds Triathlon. My goal is to be fit for Weymouth Ironman 70.3 in Sept. Anyway, thank you for the videos. I feel like I’m on a similar journey with you and your videos are really helping to keep me positive as I too am on crutches unable to do anything right now. Hope you get to read this and take a positive for yourself knowing the positive impact you are having on others who are also dealing with a similar personal challenge right now. I really look forward to the videos being released so please keep them coming! Wishing you all the best with your continued recovery.

    Oh you've got a great eye for fashion so merch would be super cool! I usually find tops (T shirts, sweaters and hoodies) are easier to do than trousers or leggings where sizing seems like a bigger problem... and you can add some accessories like socks and headbands! Love the pink colour scheme you have on the cube bike so please do something in that colour :) wishing you a continued speedy recovery

    In January of last year, I was diagnosed with a pretty bad femoral neck stress fracture. As a long time exclusive runner, I was really bummed out. While it sucks that it happened, it’s what got me interested in triathlons. I began training on the bike and now I’m signed up for an Ironman this fall. While it sucks that I got hurt, not only was I able to recover and run the Boston Marathon later that year thanks to all the cross training, but I discovered a love for a new sport that I never would have had I not been hurt in the first place

      How long did it take to get back to running? I had a bad one too- I have had to have pins in it

      @@hryeoman1 it took me about 6 months. I didn’t have surgery but I prolonged mine by not eating enough. My doc said you should gain at least 1-2 lbs to ensure recovery

    If you use a hairdryer on the glue (mind your fingers though! No more accidents!) It kind of melts and you can peels the labels back in one. :). Sort of pull up a corner the point the hairdryer underneath.

    I'm in sport over 25 yars and can say with confidence the fracture heals much faster and better when you put pressure on fructure bone during recovery. The longer you don't use your leg, the longer it takes to recover. The crutches should only be used for a few days in the beginning and definitely not all the time. Love your videos)

    You're doing so well keeping busy, it'll be over soon and you can get back to training 😁 re: merch - I've been looking for a head band for zwifting like your white RedBull one and just can't find a slim enough one that's, I don't know, not generic. I'd love a Charles-Barclay one, it would keep me motivated when zwift gets too hardcore!

    Yes,medicine isn’t done bye analogy,so saying this supplement worded for me,isn’t much of a reference ,having said that,allow me to contribute myself,I’ve been injured for two years,broken femur, ruptured Achilles’ tendon,two years of waiting. Bought a new type of bike,gravel,got into Zwifting ,three months of pretty mediocre stat’s. But the joy, the muscle memory,of actually having power,of pressing and having a result is overwhelming. I confess,I’m 71 yrs,with 50 yrs of bicycling,I simply love the road,the daily little stories.
    So your going have a great time,be patient

    Shirts with Lola! I love gear that’s not overly branded and has a subtle nod to a person or sport. Lots of triathlon and running gear can be really over the top and loud. It’s hard to find subtle stuff!

    Keep patient Lucy, you are such a good athlete, you will come back to the top level. In terms of kit, I would focus on the swim stuff - caps / suits / dry robes / towels etc.....you are known for being the mermaid - use that to your advantage!! Would be interested in knowing how Reece is - assuming some sort of arrhythmia (I have AFIB on and off!), unless he doesn't want to share. Keep on doing what you are doing!!

    Labels are also my pet peeve... Use a hair dryer, the heat makes labels come off cleanly ;) Also, heads bands for sure! I can use it indoors, in the summer and shoulder seasons! Speedy recovery, sending you good juju vibes!

      I had anorexia when I was 17 - took me about 7 years to fully recover. I’m 32 too and been recovered for 8 years and never been so happy. You’ve got this - keep fighting because you’ll get there

    My daughter who is 8 says turquoise socks with Lola on them. I think Lola would be a grand logo for your merchandise in general. If not Lola then you want to think of a logo that will represent team CB.     Interesting with a stress fracture of the hip they want you on crutches. I had a full hip replacement and the surgeon wanted me not using crutches and back putting full weight on my hip right away. Thanks for the update!

      It depends on the size of the fracture but a fracture is basically bone separated from bone. When it heals it needs to be immobilised so the fracture can form a ‘bridge’ to allow it to heal. If you put weight through a fracture before the ‘bridge’ has been made then the ‘bridge’ doesn’t heal properly, and the ‘bridge becomes a bit wonky. Usually after about 6 weeks the fracture has healed enough to then put weight through it which ironically actually increases the healing time of the bone. Repetitive stress through the fracture after 6 weeks allows the bone to continuously rebuild itself until the point it’s ‘rock solid’ and as good as new again.
      With a hip replacement if you don’t move immediately after surgery then the soft tissue which is the main component to the healing process in hip surgery will develop scarring and you will be incredibly stiff and painful. In your circumstance there isn’t any surgical fractures hence the full weight bearing immediately post surgery 🙂 Sorry for the long reply but I’m a massive orthopaedic geek

    You should really check out the program, “functional patterns”. I don’t love the owner of the program, but the actual workouts and such will make you a winning athlete and will help you recover in no time

    You guys should borrow, rent or buy a cargo bike and have Reece drive you around. It would be a good way to get some time outdoor and in the nature/country side, where you can relax and not stress any part of your body

    Wish fast recovery!! Interesting you can do no sport at all?? What is with gym upper body or running inside poor in German we say Aqaujogging.. or like that.. mmhh that hard I feel with you!! Be strong!!
    Creative: all big brand has sock shirts etc. But here you are the brand.. It must be special, like a part of you and your sister.. what is what made your hearts warm??
    I see color like mix rainbow with pink and blue as major colors. Example: front pink back blue but the sides are like rainbow so tha looks like a translation.. like the pink transform over the side to blue at the back.. (like on a bike close jet) (soory my bad English). All best and greetings from Germany
