      @@middleguy1776fr? they make their profit selling food and drinks, it is just being greedy and taking advantage of the current situation of our economy. What's to stop Denny's from offering a $3 grand slam breakfast then adding a $20 service fee? I'm glad they finally implemented this law.

  • @hector6005
    @hector6005 Před měsícem +2

    So let me get this straight: if you buy a $20 dish and tip 20% and pay a 6% service fee or you buy a $26.40 dish because of a price increase, it's still $26.40. For the customer, where is the price increase? The owners said prices would increase 5-15% they clearly haven't done math because that would actually make it cheaper. The service charge is added on at the end; now it would just be included into the price so a 26% price increase would yield a $26.40 dish at $20 base price before just without all the added on lines on the receipt.

  • @hector6005
    @hector6005 Před měsícem +3

    Then people will complain about bad service bc there's not enough employees....bc its not like the employees can afford to live in these neighborhoods with those high rents. so then the staff has to pay high cost of commuting and parking. The servers get jobs in other industries where they get health care, and then customers wonder "hey why are the restaurants closing in this area".... you can never make some people happy 🤷🏾‍♀️

    With all the extra fees, they are avoiding paying taxes. Just say food is $50 then add fee1 $10 and fee2 $5. Total $65. They are only paying income taxes on $50. Then when they charge you one price $65 with no fees, they have to pay income taxes on $65. Customers pay $65 regardless. Fees are bs. Especially 3% fee is you use credit card.
