The thing that blew me away even more about Ngannou's performance. Was Francis saying in an interview post fight. That he was thinking about making it all 10 rounds, in the 3rd round. Meaning he wished he would've gone after Fury even more. But he didn't know how his cardio would hold up. Well now he knows full well he can box for 10-12 rounds. If Fury isn't a coward & agrees to a rematch..? Francis will beat him even worse than the 1st time he did!
@ConwayTwitter I agree, but I think it's because Fury won't do a rematch. Atleast not in the near future. He felt Ngannou's power! Wants nothing to do with it.
His mouth was open, and he looked exhausted in the middle rounds. I honestly thought Tyson was playing with him and was going to pile on the pressure, as boxers that have been doing it since kids are much more efficient than MMA guys. However, I can only assume Tysons cardio went, as that pressure didnt come.
@ChessmindedThinker that pressure didnt come cuz he was frikking scared💀. Tysons style is faint...get reaction, hit you when you open up. Ngannou didnt fall for any of his faints. But francis being an mma fighter and miles stronger than fury just ragdolled him.
I actually think he hurt Fury more in some of the later exchanges after the knockdown. Unfortunately I think people avoid Ngannou like crazy now. They now know how durable skilled and powerful he is in boxing. And with some conditioning to get him used to 12 rounds, he’s going to be extremely dangerous, all the boxers are going to duck him for as long as they possibly can.
@@MickiesheltonI’m honestly impressed. The funny thing is that some people say wilder ducked AJ. It makes zeeero sense lol. This Its a problem with the MMA community/fanbase in general One match/fight and they do a complete 180° I have seen people saying volk was never good because of his ko from islam
He had never seen Francis box and all we have been seeing is Fury dismantling everyone so it made sense to predict Fury would dominate. I am happy to admit I got it completely wrong and Francis proved me wrong
What was surprising about FN's performance was his discipline & focus, both of which underpinned his strategy. I was impressed by how he paced himself for 10 rounds, how he kept the centre of the ring & controlled the fight (key elements to scoring), despite his muscle mass & bulk, he showed good stamina & endurance. His stance was excellent and he had clearly worked hard to adapt his posture for boxing, very different to a typical mma stance, also, his defence was vastly better than anyone imagined....good lateral head movement, good ability to judge distance & anticipation of his opponent's punches.....effectively parrying many of TF's jabs & time counters, he landed significant numbers of straight jabs to Fury's chest & body, he was clearly the stronger man & demonstrated supreme punch resistance. At times, Fury looked befuddled, extremely anxious, almost gun-shy after the knockdown & jumped in to grab with both arms, as though he was looking for a take-down. IMO, FN beat Fury by a margin of 1 or 2 points, as the first judge scored it. I think FN has the size, technique & style that Fury has no answer for, whether that style would present similar problems to Wilder, AJ, or even Andy Ruiz, i'm not so sure about. For me, FN can only improve but at this level, at 37, there's not much of a window for him to develop his potential as a boxer. His timing needs to improve, along with speed of punch, & punch variety, combination punching, feints, to jab more, work on in-fighting, footwork & co-ordination...future opponents will be wary of his punch power & be conscious of keeping a high guard, so if FN took advantage of that employing feints to the head to further bring up guards, his secret weapon could be body punching.
You said it all. Once his timing improves and he can connect more punches, he becomes the deadliest human alive. You did not mention how strong his neck is.
I don't think Ngannou needs that much to beat these modern heavyweight boxers, his hybrid MMA/Boxing stance will work wonders in confusing his opponents, but imo the number 1 thing he needs to serioulsy improve and work on is his right straight, it's more of a weird looping punch that loses speed and power. Someone needs to drill it into him to keep that right hand punch piston like, straight forward and turning into it more with his shoulder and hip rotation, then drawing it back ready for a counter or his own combination. I believe that, with his left hook being tightened up, would be enough to stop all the heavyweights. Everything else he does is fine, and will improve naturally anyway. Oh, also if Francis would have thrown more uppercuts i believe he would have KO'd Fury at some point in that fight.
After the wilder knock down, fury came back strong but when Francis knocked him down, fury was reluctant to engage , this man is today's George Foreman and don't overlook his body shots.
@darren6076 another clown. Fury was off it because Ngannou didn't let him on it. Styles make fights, and Ngannou is all wrong for Fury. Fury needs a Derek Chisora or a dillian whyte or sefer sefari. Or a big skinny one trick pony like wilder to make him look good. And to be fair, I think wilder showed that Fury isn't that great, because wilder was absolutely gassed early in their 2nd and 3rd fights and fury still took ages to finish him. Every fighter looks shit when they fight a guy that's style is wrong for them. Ali looked shit against Ken Norton. Why? Because his style made it awkward for Ali. Mike tyson looked terrible against lennox because lennox style was bad for tyson.

@@lucas17389 There are different kinds of power. Wilder is an explosive hitter, Tyson was too, Ngannou is more like a Foreman type of hitter, slower, heavier punches. A Lot of facets to boxing, Power is only one of them.

I think the fact the fight went the way it did, and lost the way he did, might actually be the best outcome for everyone including Francis. If fury goes and fights Usyk, and Francis ends up getting another huge fight (1.Jashua, or 2nd Wilder, or even 3rd Ruiz) and they both win and then they do a rematch.. That would be the perfect storm for everyone. He'd walk out of that fight with 150M win or lose.
@@donalddarko4871 yeah Ruiz wouldn't be ideal. I put him there not because he's the third most badass guy to fight, but because of his hype from beating Joshua. So he's got that selling power.
To be fair though it's been a long time since there has been any credible heavyweight champions so it's easy to see why someone would consider Tyson fury the greatest ever it's not like there have been people lining up to give him any opposition in fact I think this was his hardest fight in 10 years and that's pretty sad considering it wasn't even against a boxer
Francis Ngannou cannot beat any heavyweight boxer Joe Rogan. Right hand bombs found his "titanium jaw" which was never tested in the budding sport of MMA. Anthony Joshua knocked Francis TFO. I still salute FN for stepping in that ring. He's 30M richer.

@DannyLynch123 the point is you'll have overhyped the $hit out of this. Does any of you'll actually know boxing? Francis footwork was trash. Fury showed up to this fight unprepared and in the worst shape of his life and still out pointed him. I F with Francis, but this hype is somewhat ridiculous. One match/fight and they do a complete 180°

Yeah he changed his mind in light of new information, what a weird thing to do.
Well that’s because the odds were heavily stacked against Ngannou. What he did and how well he did shocked everyone.
He had never seen Francis box and all we have been seeing is Fury dismantling everyone so it made sense to predict Fury would dominate. I am happy to admit I got it completely wrong and Francis proved me wrong
@@liamweinberg4902he lost the fight
Francis's story is one of the most inspirational stories ever.
Great analysis!
I would have resd all that👆but im 47 years old not got thevtime😂 sure your right though
u guys have no clue wdf u talking lmao
Lets not forget ya’ll; Although Ngannou is legendary, he’s 37 years old, and fatherly time is quickly approaching.
