  • The Timberking 2000 sawmill is my pick for the best fully hydraulic sawmill on the market. It can cut anything that will fit on its deck. The diesel kubota engine is the cherry on top. This has been my dream mill for years and it will be for years to come.
    I don't make this decision lightly I have owned 7 sawmills and operated a lot more from just about every manufacturer out there. The Timberking 2000 or 2020 is the best all around fully hydraulic money can buy. Hope you enjoy this video.
    check out mule mountain sawmill for his video on how he mounted a laser on his mill.

    You hit on the best think about a Timberking, low Maintenace, and easy to work on. You need to add a chip deflector in front of the drive side guide roller to keep bark from getting between the band and wheel. You will get better blade life when sawing logs with loose or stringy bark.

    Timbering to me is the best option for a good bandsawmill. Performs great.

    Hey Thomas. I now have my 1620 and wanted to tell you that when you move to Wisconsin if any of your clients would want to contact me that would be great. I’ve been sawing cedar oak pine etc. I am in Geiger Alabama about 2:45 minutes north of you. Ps I’m also the guy who showed up a day early for the show at Mr. Roberts.😂

    I love cedar red cedar. Made a live edge table from 9/4 slabs. Thomas I hope you and your family have a great New Year. When are you coming back to Tennessee?

    Check your diesel carry jugs and mill's tank for moisture and dump them out if you find any. That's my biggest source for plugged inline filters.

      Thanks, as of right now I won't be selling until I have my new mill in hand. New mill should be ready spring-summer of 2023. There's lot of unknowns at this moment with some supply chain stuff.

    Need help with our Timberking 2000 blade diving. Cutting Spruce in Alaska. Tried everything to include different blades to get it to work. No luck. Did all the alignment things. Several times. The blade dives and then sticks. Help!

      Yes, the sawmill sold within a few hours of me talking about selling it. A diesel 2000 or 2020 is the best mill out there, in my opinion. There are a few that pop up from time to time on the Timberking owners Facebook page.

      Thanks so much for your reply. We are just starting this as we retire soon and looking how to start a new business! We have a ton of wood from 2 tornadoes that hit us in the past 3 years.
      We appreciate any help and suggestions you can offer.

    I have a brand new 2020 diesel....has 29.6 hours.....stopped running because of the start box.....it thinks it doesn't have oil pressure, just wondering if you have had that problem or heard of that problem

    • @TCSawmills
      @TCSawmills  Před rokem

      Is your box the deep sea box or the new digital one? I have not had an issue with any of our 3 diesel mills. The 2000 I had and the 2020 I have now both run the same controller box. The 2220 we have has a much more advanced computer to control everything. I saw a recent picture of a new 2020 that had a different controller, but I am not familiar with the capabilities of it. Have you reached out to timberking?

    • @brucemaples6874
      @brucemaples6874 Před rokem

      This mill has the deep sea multiple function monitor.....so far, I'm not impressed.....Timberking handed me over very quickly to Anderson Industrial engines to handle the problems.....I live on the west coast near Hoodsport Washington. Anderson, ( Kansa City, Kansas) handed me off to a Kubota dealer/ shop near Tacoma, Washington.....we will see how this goes. It has been down nearly a month. That little box is doing a lot of strange stuff, not reading to oil pressure correctly makes the starter enguage even if it starts....then it decides to fault out and shut down

    • @brucemaples6874
      @brucemaples6874 Před rokem

      It has the deep sea controler....it doesn't recognize the oil pressure any longer....starts, runs for 15-20 seconds, and it engages the starter in and out, while it is running, not a good thing, Anderson is sending a technician to me from Auburn, Washington to check it out

    • @brucemaples6874
      @brucemaples6874 Před rokem

      The sawmill itself is,I think, the best for the money, it does everything well....laser straight cuts, power to spare, all hydraulic, ect.....I understand that parts can fail, it's a machine, it will be fixed soon and making great lumber, Douglas fir, hemlock, western red cedar, maple, and madrona.....I worked as a saw filer for Simpson in the Shelton working circle for nearly 35 years, so I have worked on large bandsaws all of my life.....we used stellite alloy for our saw teeth tips, very wear resistant and not brittle like the carbide, however, the carbide is my choice.....I hope some day they use the stellite as tips......I enjoy watching your channel, keep up the good work!!!

    No debarker on timber king's?

    • @TCSawmills
      @TCSawmills  Před 2 lety +4

      They have them, but I'm not a big fan. Debarkers get in my way and since I sharpen and set my own blades I'm not worried about it.

    • @oliverm5sc
      @oliverm5sc Před 2 lety +2

      @@TCSawmills Same here, more time and trouble messing around with a debarker than it's worth.. I rather sharpen a couple extra blades once in a while. If you have to send your blades away for sharpening at $10 each then a debarker would make sence. Over here it takes 7 minutes to sharpen and cost way under a $

    • @anooseholay
      @anooseholay Před 2 lety

      @@oliverm5sc we have our own sharpener and setter and a debarker and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Totally extends your blade life even in cleaner wood

    • @oliverm5sc
      @oliverm5sc Před 2 lety +1

      @@anooseholay Maybe it's extends blades life a little but I don't think it's worth the hassle of running it, in the way , upkeep and keeping it aligned. I took mine off..
