Guys, your channel is SUPERB! As an MX5 owner i simply cannot stop watching your channel...love it!
+Pe Peroni Thank you so much man glad you enjoy it!! We have had fun doing it!
Nah thank you for taking the time and making these! Cheers
Well I pretty much feel like there is no way I could screw this up if I did it now. Just need to get a Miata! Nice job Jesse and Matt.
802 Garage Thanks!!
Heeey! Matt in the comments. Nice.
Shrouds and ducting do so much more than people realize. I remember diagnosing an AC system that was full of refrigerant but wouldn't blow cold at idle. Found all the shroud/insulation pieces missing, replaced them and the car blew snowflakes from the vent.
Seriously. Take some stock fans and seal them up with proper ducting, throw on some new relays to directly power both fans, and most stock radiators will cool a race motor. :P
Wow! It does make a huge difference because without ducting the air comes from EVERYWHERE, the path of least resistance and usually thats not through the radiator/condensor/intercooler unless you force it to =P
I like your very pro shop chair! :P
you guys deserve so many more subscribers !! awesome video!!
Thank you man we really appreciate it =)
Congrats on 3K!
Thank you man!! Its been close to a year now and I'm grateful we even have that many people that were interested enough to hit the button!
That's pretty good. I doubt I'll be at 3K in a yer, but we'll see!
23rd! A quality fan makes such a difference in cooling. Nice work guys!
the fans are nice AND the ducting makes a huge difference!
keep going guys 👍I like your chanel....
Edgar Evaristo Thank you so much Edgar we will!
Also you should consider doing a vacuum canister delete. It really cleans up the bay and saves weight. I did it on my 94 NA8
Samuel Ross I did on my last car too, I probably will at some point but it doesnt make much difference to me either way :P I think we listed in our weight reduction video how much weight you saved by removing it but I forget right now.
Probably could've just thrown a toothpick through the spacer and mounting hole to keep the spacers moderately inline haha.
What the AMP rating on the breaker? Im trying to make my own wiring setup since I have plenty of supply to make it happen. Thanks.
Any chance you have a measurement of the thickness of the fans and shroud? I keep trying to get an answer from flyin miata but they are pretty unresponsive. I'm actually a bit nervous about purchasing anything because of this.
BTW How you manage to fit the stock fans to the aluminum radiator? I upgraded my radiator and then was a struggle to make the fan sit and not hit the sway bar. (anti-roll bar)
On mine the fan shroud would indeed touch the sway bar, it wasn't pushing the fans into the radiator tho, and the sway bar does not move there only twists so I wasn't worried about it hurting anything.
about the circuit braker can't you just wire the positive from the alternator to the AD FAN pins underneath the fuse box it self where there should be either an empty connection or just wires (in your case you have them because your car has AC) im kind of confused why you need to put the circuit braker when there is a circuit braker 20A on the fuse box itself
What inch size are the ventilators?
They should include threaded standoffs instead of spacers..
Are your tires 205/50r15? 15x8? Fitment looks great
Thank you man!! and yes they are 15x8 with 205/45/15's. Advanti Storm S1's with Nitto NT05's.
sweet! I'm trying to figure on 205/50 or 225/45 for my 2000 EM1 SI
Samuel Ross Depends on your power and use, for daily and lower power 205's are cheap and great! If you hit canyons a lot or race a lot and make more power I'd do 225's
I think I would tape the spacers to the studs with electrical tape
John Holsopple Thats a very good idea actually! If someones doing it by themselves or even they way we did I think its worth trying!
GearHeads thanks
Great video, however seems like a pain in the ass to install.?
