    These are my favorite stability ball exercises for building core strength and stability. The stability ball, also known as the "swiss ball" in the US, is such a common piece of exercise equipment that I think it often gets overlooked in terms of its effectiveness. The unstable nature of it makes it a great tool for fitness because it forces you to work on balance and coordination during every exercise, strengthening core muscles you didn't know you even had.
    If you're looking to build core strength and stabilize your body, give these exercises a shot. I put them in order of my own Top 10, but you may like some more than others based on your preferences and the weak areas on your body.
    Most importantly, make sure you train safely when you try these exercises. I recommend using the ball on carpeting at first, if possible. This way if you fall off you'll have a softer landing than if you were on concrete or hardwood floors.
    As always, train hard and eat smart. I'll see you next time!

    I love doing the ball balance. And like you fell off a dozen times. But it won't stop the fun. Thanks again. Keep the repeat button on.

    Great video, you certainly have quite the balance. That is part of my goal when using the stability ball. How long does it take for you to be able to kneel on top of the stability ball?
    Suggestion, perhaps do videos shirtless, to show us guys what we can look like when we take care of ourselves.

    I have owned one of these for like 10 years now. I stopped using it for the most part because I got tired of falling. I still, ocassionally do crunches or jacknives - ocassional ab workout. I wonder what the risk/reward is for some of these exercises.

  • @nessiemupfeki

    Tried the first 3
    Num 10 - easy I was able to do 2 sets of 15 reps each
    Number 9 - 2 sets of 10 reps each
    Number 8 -just 3 reps. It is soooo hard to keep my legs on that ball. They kept falling off. What's the trick to keep legs from falling off?? holy moly how do you keep that ball stable??

    how many reps and sets max?

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  Před 4 lety +2

      Erinpus depends on your goals. If you're just choosing one exercise from the list to include in your workout, I recommend doing 4 or 5 sets of that exercise. Aim for 10 reps or as many as you can do without breaking correct form. But if you're going to run through all 10 of the exercises in the video, then I recommend only 1 or 2 sets of each (same rep scheme).

  • @nessiemupfeki

    • @MinusTheGym
      @MinusTheGym  Před rokem

      There’s no right or wrong amount reps. See what you’re able to do and try to increase it gradually from workout to workout.

    I spend days feeling weak, walking with poor posture and a bad back then i watch one of these and think “time to start working out” then i get lazy for a couple of days.
    And the cycle repeats itself

    • @michael43216
      @michael43216 Před 4 lety +1

      Maybe you are trying too much, too soon with no coherent plan.
      Lifestyle changes should be done in a way they don't feel like much of a sacrifice and you can keep up with them in the long term.
      For example, try a simple mobility rutine you can do for 5 minutes every day.
