    Hi brother Paul! These Gretsch guitars that they are making are better than many would believe. I have a G5420T and you are right, affordable and good quality. The Filter’Tron pickups were the first low output humbucker to exist and they sound great. Mine was made in Korea and is a bit older. Keep these videos coming! Great review and loved the addition information, brother man 👍🏻

    Sweet as pie. Loved the photos of everyone playing while you were playing.
    For the price, these seem like a very good choice. ❤
    Thank you

    I think I like the fullness and sound of this Gretsch better than the recent Reverend 12-strings, which do look very cool. They just don’t seem to ring like a 12-string should.

    I have one of these in the Single Barrel Burst, great guitar. It was my first Gretsch and I’ve since bought three more. Sweetwater’s six month easy pay is going to be the death of me

      Thanks for watching! I agree, Gretsch guitars have a thing all their own. The Electromatic series is an incredible value, especially. If you have time, check out my Ticket to Ride cover

      I feel for you, just got mine from ZZounds, they have up to 12 month easy pay easy approval. About to pay off my Epiphone Les Paul custom with the KOA top and 11 more months on my Roland PM 200 amp for my drums and now 11 months for my new Gretsch. Would have never had any of these without the EZ pay plan.

    Well, I think I finally found my affordable Ricky 360/12 alternative....it rinkles just like the Rick. And the broader neck width also appeals to me bigtime. And what is most important, it is a hollowbody. Since I had my Epiphone Casino. this is what makes me pick up an electric more than ever before.

      @@paulgeorgia8013 but still at the moment, the work remains on saving the money together. 998 euros is still more than half my salary, so it will take some time.

      @@paulgeorgia8013 well, the time now is saving for the money. Although a midrange price guitar, it is still a lot of money and that will take some time.

      @arno-luyendijk4798 keep your eyes out for a used one. You never know, you might get lucky and get a great deal like I did. Good luck 🍀👍

    I have the same one but 6 string version ' white tg.
    Also a 5420' orange tg ' pickguard/pickup covers
    tortoise' my favorite of the 2. I've been thinking about getting the 5422' 12 string ' changing the nut and saddle over to string it up like a Rickenbacker.
    Your thoughts on that?

      @paulgeorgia8013  Před 9 měsíci

      Thanks for watching. That would be an interesting experiment. Reversing the bass strings. I can say this is a great guitar for the money, and even if the change doesn’t work out, I think you’ll be happy with it 🙏🎸😎

      @@BryanClark-gk6ie yes I suppose it could be done. I’d love to hear how it turns out!

      It should make the bass be more prominent and feels more natural. I took it one further and just ditched octave strings so now its a 9 strin with top three unison. Works for me! Something about 12 has this register break where octaves turn to unison i could never get head around, plus hard to get it low-endy on the chord roots.
