      @@JeremiahMcintosh Mine was the same. I think most people who don't watch your video will end up with an inadequately oriented display. That's too bad. I guess the first clue that it needs to be changed is the top stem bolt is loose. You have to take that all the way out to reorient the neck correctly. I consider that dangerous, because some people probably won't think to check the top nut, which I assume needs to be tight. And the instructions say nothing about it. That's my only complaint about the bike, besides the strange cruise control automatic activation (also with no mention of it in the manual); other than those issues the bike appears to be phenomenal! The dark blue paint is strikingly beautiful. However, the assembly instructions are sparse for a beginner like me. That's probably why they say over and over again to take it to a certified bike mechanic. It's the first assembly I've ever done on a bike and it took me a couple hours (I imagine it would take experienced people around an hour or less). I understand they're a fairly new company and this is a relatively new industry and they're apparently a Chinese company, but they should have more detailed instructions. Will be interesting to see if the Pro manual is better. Nevertheless I am excited to try it out tomorrow!

I have yet to find another E bike company that will do that. On the flip if you see one used for sale you can buy it knowing the warranty can be transferred to your name! Just another great aspect of Magicycle!!

    Great video! Bike looks great but don't care for the gearing. Is it a 42t chain ring with a 14t highest rear gear sprocket? If so its way to low for a bike with that power. You must be ghost pedaling at like 21 mph. I might have bought the bike if it was 52t to 12 or 11. My current e-bike has 47t to 11t and I'm spinning like crazy to try and achieve the advertised top speed of 28mph. My legs can't do it.

I asked to return it these guy said it has to be less than 10 miles and when i talked to the agent about returning it he never mentioned once about riding it less than 10 miles for it to be accepted for return. It's like their hiding that 10 miles so if you go past it you have no other option but to pay for a bike u don't like. In addition, I ordered a front basket with this bike and it's been 4 weeks and I still haven't received it. Also, the free bag didn't come till after 21 days. Terrible customer service and bad product. Wouldn't buy from here again if they don't want you to know that you can't return it past 10 miles like atleast make it 20 miles.

    • @Joseph-kk8bq
      @Joseph-kk8bq Před 2 lety +1

      But the 1000 watts makes it subject to moped laws in some states, whereas the 750 is not. Also there are a lot of design and manufacturing complaints about Ariel. However it does have a bigger motor and goes a little faster. Nevertheless I prefer the Magicycle Cruiser Pro.

      @@JeremiahMcintosh At 80, I needed a step-thru. First off customer service is poor. The display is small and dims to half when you turn on the lights. Bought in Oct. didn't ride in the winter, about 2K miles on it now and the battery is going down already with less power and distance. The right brake lever power disconnect no longer works. Backordered. The "programming" is really limited. The speed odometer is off at least 10% with no adjustment available. My other Lectric XP is still a better bike, the battery did die at 5000 miles but is easy to replace with a bigger/better one.

    I purchased a Magicycle Cruiser in November of 2021. It arrived with a problem that caused it to be powered up even though the display was off. Before even riding the bike, I managed to launch it across the kitchen into the wall. When I contacted Magicycle customer service, their solution was to unplug and replug all the connectors. One by one, I did as asked. It took me seven months to figure out that the power button had an intermittent mechanical problem. But I didn't worry about it too much as I had been provided with an awesome 2 year warranty that covered just about everything against factory defects. It was a big part of my decision to purchase the bike.
    Unfortunately, when I asked Magicycle to replace the defective part, they told me that my warranty had expired a week after I received the bike. I was puzzled. I had an owner's manual with an awesome warranty that they wouldn't honor. Were there bikes not able to last through the warranty period? I was provided no answers, just that I needed to look at the warranty on the internet. Apparently Magicycle thinks that its fine to change the warranty after the bike is purchased. Perhaps it's a cultural thing, but around these parts, that's fraud.
    In addition, a couple of months back, the front brake disc came loose when all the screws holding it on disappeared. Magicycle neglected to put Loctite on the screws. The disc got bent beyond repair, but no-one got hurt. Seems like that would be a serious defect in workmanship. It sure isn't safe.
    I like my bike, but the Magicycle company had been really, really crappy. If you intend to purchase one, please considered this. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have bought something else.
    I'd have thought that the company would have made more of an effort to keep paying customers happy. I guess it must be easier and cheaper to give away bikes for free to keep their image up. Thumbs down.

      @@JeremiahMcintosh I doubt there is any way to deactivate it. I imagine you have to engage a brake, which is obviously very strange programming. I'll let you know if I discover otherwise. I haven't taken it for a spin yet, because it was dark by the time I got it put together and I didn't want my first ride to be in the dark. BTW, they may have seen your review about the extra washers on the rear disk brake, because now there are either no washers there or only 1. I can't tell for sure, because if there is 1 it is painted black. But maybe that was only an issue with the Step-Thru; mine is a Step-Over.
