Hi Rachel. Your absolutely right about the price of some makeup and skincare brands. However, there are so many more cheaper dupes nowadays then when I was your age. When I was younger money priorities where not on makeup, but now in my 60's there is more discretionary money for splurges. I have used the Lumiglotion for many years and that Tarte Maneater palette has been my favorite for over 10 years. I think you would enjoy some of the ELF products, especially their cream blushes and their skin care products as well. I find that cream blush fades on me fast unless I top it with a powder blush to set it. NYX and Milani have nice products as well. I also the Weleda Skin Food light as a moisturizer at night. I'm told it's a dupe for La Mer, but I'm not sure since I will never spend $250 or more on cream. I love the finished look you created, even the evil eyebrow sister's, which most of us have btw.
Rachel put self care content on the map before it was even a thing. I remember this one video where you got ready for valentines, I was mesmerized, you looked so pretty! I recreated that look years later. Just checked, that video was from 10 years ago, gosh, time flies. I also used to watch yours and Byron's vlogs religiously. I love how you find just the right makeup and skin care products for you and your skintone I have very fair ivory type skin, so it is hard to match and find colors that compliment and flatter.
Thank you. It can be tricky. I definitely like to go into a store and color match. I super lucked out with the colors I found at Walmart (although they have a good return policy). I had to go into Sephora recently to try different products and color match. It’s too hard to guess lol

I don’t think you need that much foundation coverage . You have such beautiful skin on its own. Plus you care for your skin in such a wonderful way that I wish I could do too. I just get so busy and find it hard to sit down and do a good regimen daily❤

I love how pretty and natural this look is. I hate to say it but so many of the young women here on CZcams put on so much make up. It just looks unnatural.
Yeh. I think for a lot of women they enjoy playing around with makeup and using their face as the canvas! I do prefer a more natural enhancing approach to makeup. That’s personally always my goal.
I wish these were filmed more close up so you could see the application of the products more clearly

You look beautiful, but this is a nighttime makeup routine, is that right? I cant imagine putting that many layers on for day-time, and you are so naturally pretty, I cant think you would need to. I wish I had your gorgeous brows too!!
Thank you! I was just playing around with makeup today. Most days I don't wear anything except for tinted sunscreen and a little mascara.. This is definitely more of a makeup look I would wear for date night, gigs etc,.. but sometimes I play around with makeup just because.. =)

Okay, for the bronzer - (I was taught by watching Jaclyn Hill on CZcams), to NEVER blend the bronzer downward. It defeats the purpose of carving/defining the cheekbone. And your brows - they are SISTERS. Not identical twins! But I love this!

Did you know the grande lash has hormones in it which can cause a bunch of nasty side effects 😢 so it went straight to the bin. Now I switched to one without hormones 😊
Which one do you use?
@@racheltalbott I use the Shiseido full lash serum. At this point I can’t tell the effects because I recently started using it 😊
@@Katalb7 keep me posted. I’m always curious about eyelash serums. I have very mixed feelings about them.
It’s crazy how expensive it’s gotten! And I feel like face washes and deodorants have gotten out of control with prices if it’s not drug store 🤣🤣🤣
