How I removed Special offers on Kindle Device for Free (2021)

- Hey Everyone, so recently I got special offers removed from my Kindle Device for free from just talking to an amazon customer service employee via the customer service chatting feature on the website. Here, I record my experience getting it removed. Note this may not work for everyone since it all depends on the employee you get in contact with if they're willing to remove it for you or not. This just happened to work for me after 3 prior failed attempts. Enjoy my reaction!

Hello everyone, this video isn't intended to promote others to lie to the customer service employee. Although I did not give a fluid response into why I needed special offers removed to the person I was working with (Which, is wrong on my part). I do not condone it. You can just ask the employee to do it for you, and they will do it without cost depending on who you connect with.

First time and they were really kind. I asked them truthfully that would it be possible for them to remove special offers for free and at first she told me that it was $20 + tax and i declined gently then next thing i know she told me that they waived the cost!! Made my day!!
Luckily I got it on my first try, good thing we still have kind people. Thanks for the vid man

Tried that, they want $20. I got the wrong ebook. $20 to remove the front cover. Sneaky. Very very sneaky. Companies that sneak this bad are on my eternal ban list. Very bad way to treat your customer. Next ebook reader and all in future will other… there are good ones around. Aso closing my amazon account for purchases and I will torrent download any show that comes on that I want to see.

so i asked them, saying that i bought this for my daughter (i am the daughter tho) and that there were some inappropriate ads
they said they could help me remove it but i would be charged $20
i told them i wouldn’t be able to pay that right now, but thanks for their help anyways
and then they said “hold on, i’ll check with my lead if we can make an exception”
and they ended up removing it without fees!!
I have also tried talking to them and it was so fast! They removed the special offers from my kindle too. Thank you for this!

I'm still unsure if this will work for me, because on my amazon order, it's says kindle paperwhite with ads, so I don't know if I'll get away with saying that I bought the non ads version
Thanks for it Worked like magic I couldn't believe it, Finally, man I just wrote the reasons why I want to remove those ads I told him that some book recommendations contain covers with two people kissing which I find distributive and it got removed in less than 2 minutes.

it's a funny little secret ;) It worked for me; the chat was skeptical at first. I said that I understand that we all have to pay to remove the ads and asked kindly if there is a way of removing the ads for free. I just wanted to have my book cover displayed on the lock screen. out of nowhere, I got a notification on my kindle saying the special offer has been removed.

Worked! As others have said, just be polite and courteous and chances are they will do it for you.
Be nice to your assistant when you contact them and they will help you. It worked for me. No extra charge

Literally just ask if they can remove ads and be really kind to them, they will give you a hand and probably remove them for free, they did this for me today. Great video though!
Yupp! that could work depending on who you get. I just figured that straight up asking customer service to remove it for you without any excuse would be an absolute no since its happened to me before hahah.. But glad you got it removed and thanks
Yeah, I was honest and said that I had the one with ads (it was a present), but I'm South African and the exchange rate of USD to ZAR is really high so it would've been quite an expense for me just to remove the ads. I asked if they might be willing to help me out by removing the ads without the additional cost and the person was extremely friendly and removed them without any issues

Hello, if you bought the kindle in another country and you use Amazon support of another country (if the kindle is connected to your Amazon account of that country) then if someone agrees to remove the ads then will they be able to do it?
If they know about the method, then they may be able to do it. However, the amazon support may be world wide so you may get anyone from anywhere. But if that is not the case, then maybe keep trying. comment back if you have any issues.
Hi, I'm in South Africa and contacted the US Amazon support. I was honest by saying that the exchange rate between USD and ZAR is high (1 USD = 15 ZAR) and would take a chunk of my budget, they removed it for free and it worked :)

I just tried it and it worked, i don't know if the guy was trolling me with me cause first he said it would cost extra and i told him, oh i have read chat staff sometimes do first time exceptions. and then he replies, ok this will be a first time exception and he did removed them LOL. The ads were not that bothersome, but still annoying nevertheless. Thanks for the video.

Didn't work for me this time, might try it in a few days. however, they told me the system showed them it was bought with ads so if they removed them it would automatically be charged to my account :(

Bro...THIS WORKED IN 2023 I kind of had to finagle my way around getting to a chat since it wasn't an option right off of the bat, but take everyone's advice. BE NICE. BE VERY, VERY NICE. SAY THANK YOU. they said something like "there is a 20 dollar fee, but I have waived the fee in a one time exception." BRUHHH....

I had to connect to a second agent in order to get it free. The first agent asked for 20 euros.

so, here is my story. I got kindle from my friend living in US. After i received it, I didn't see any ad, may be because I am in pakistan but I was seeing a special offer in my amazon account which basically means you will see ads.
i contacted customer support she said I will remove it since I am outside and she removed it.

they said they removed mine but it’s been a day and they are still there. I tried restarting three times throughout the day but nothing’s changed. Does anyone know any solution?
I think the best solution is to just try again. Chances are, they actually havent removed special offers. It took me 3 attempted tries to actually get special offers removed and once you get them removed, they should disappear right away.

I have been charged 21,45 for remove ads, I contact amazon support and they gave me a refund.

Lol it worked, actually I think it is really an error of Amazon with some devices because I coudn't remove them by paying or something else, there wasn't an option for do that for me.
