- Is your cassette adapter constantly ejecting? Does it stop playing your music constantly? This video will show you how to quickly fix that issue. Don't waste your time rubbing the rubber ring like a lot of videos on CZcams show you to do, because that doesn't always work [I know this from personal experience]. This method is guaranteed to work for you the first time.
Using this method if you don't like the sound the gears make when they turn, just take out all of the gears.
I hope I helped some of you guys out.
Don't forget to drop a like, comment if you have any questions, and subscribe.
Thanks for watching.
*Edit: It has been reported by several users that taking out all the gears from the tape will cause it to not work.
** Sorry for the interlaced lines that appear if you watch the video in small player mode. If watched in fullscreeen lines do not appear.

Mine started auto ejecting the next day after getting it. This is the first and only video I needed to fix it. Thank you for posting this and getting straight to the point.
Mine still isn't working

People looking to fix their tapedeck seem like my kinda crowd
Hell yeah
Hahahahaha good to meet you, kind sir.
Word up I felt same way lolol
Ya dig
The struggle is real 😫 😪 😩
being poor sucks.
absolutely
millenium2003
i am rich. i just want to conserve my 4th car original
sv991311 what car?
Some older cars with cassette players cost more than your house bruh . Not everyone watching this video is poor .
Stefano Weston he means that only us poor people without bluetooth in our cars need to look up these vids lol
You the man! I pulled all the guts out of my adapter. No gears. No noise. No problem. Thanks!
This worked very well. Its amazing how simple these devices are.
I did try to take out all the gears and it worked but my tape deck had trouble ejecting it. I fear it might get stuck so i put the gears back in.
I actually found removing the rubber gear made it quieter. I just turn up the music anyway so i cant hear the noise.
Now I can jam out in my 2000 accord hopefully lmao

Great video just bought a car without a cd or aux and bought the cassette adapter and it kept ejecting. Searched and found this video; took that piece out and it works perfect. Thanks!!!
👍 Definitely fixed my problem. *smh* it's one of the most annoying things ever, thanks man!
Glad to hear I helped!
Agreed

Thanks, this is the hook up. Mine ejected at least a dozen times before it stayed in. Now I'm scared to eject it. With your fix I will eject it and take care of this problem. You the man. Thank you, Chris. 🙂
My car didn't eject the tape but my old stereo did, this was a huuuuuge help. I think my conversion tape is as old as this video lol. Thank you!
you are a genius! Thanks, you saved me like $500 from having to buy a new stereo. thanks again!
Thanks for this video. My cassette adapter was recently stolen from my car and I had to do the fix on it before it would work in my (aging) stereo. But that was along time ago and I was just making sure that I did it right on the replacement cassette adapter as you superbly described in this video. Plus, I know now that I can just go ahead and empty the rest of the guts because sometimes the noise of the cogs/gears can be annoying while listening to music on long drives. Thanks again!
along time ago
Thank you so much. It worked. My cassette adapter was constantly ejecting but now no more. I have a 1997 Toyota Camry by the way.
I have same car. N my cassette does same thing
Hey I've got a 97 too. I hope it works out for mine
Same!!! Damn Camry’s!
@@mywavesofgrain right dude. The menacing Camrys live forever!
Damn how many miles you got on that jawn
THANK YOU!!!!!! I just ordered a refurbished radio shack one on eBay and it kept ejecting on its own and I did exactly what you said in the video and removed that one piece with the rubber on it and it works now! 😁 I was afraid I was gonna have to mail it back to them for a refund 🙄
2 months with very little music in my car, and it was this simple. thanks for helping me with this
THANK YOU! This fixed it right away, and I can’t wait to listen to a bunch more songs while driving. You are awesome. 👏👏👏👏
You're welcome. I"m glad I was able to help.
Hallelujah! I've been riding around for months with this problem and finally I'll be able to listen to music again! Thank you!!
I took that part out and the same deal happened, except this time it came with a really annoying sound.
This worked excellent thank you soo much...i have been having to listen to the FM for months cuz I couldn't figure it out...great job
Thanks Chris. I don't really want to upgrade my audio system; the sound of the original is great. Will give it a try.
just changing the way the aux cord itself is placed by putting it on the opposite side and flipping the tape helped me just fine! I still removed the part in this video. so thank you for the help! I was so frustrated. LIFESAVER.
Thanks so much! I was just now getting ready to purchase another one of these and I decided to try fix it myself. I have a Sony cpa-7 adapter and it kept stopping and starting back up. I watched a few CZcams videos and I just tried this and it worked. Mine did not work without the gears. I just removed the bottom piece as you indicated. Mine has no screws in it at all. I had to carefully pry it open with a small screwdriver. I wasn't sure if it would snap back together when I was finished, but it did. CZcams is great! Thanks!
Thank you for this! Two comments: (1) Taking out the gear which trips auto-reverse works like a charm! Why didn't I think of that? Muchos gracias! (2) Mileage may vary w/ regard to taking out other gears -- when I try that step, my player goes back to auto ejecting. Not sure why it does that, but I hope the heads-up is helpful to someone.
Me at auto zone in my car sad cus it worked at first but since he said u could stop the noise I went and took all the gears out trusted this man to the fullest and threw the gears n the garbage inside😭
I tried taking all the gears out and no dice, after seeing this I'll try it with the gears back in except for the auto reverse
Thank u, ur instructions were direct, concise, easy to follow & they worked👍. So now I can jam out n my '99 Camry😉
It did work in my monster adapter it was ejecting it every time especially when it was getting really cold up here but I took everything off like you said and the problem is gone!!!! Thanks man 😎👍
I got a 1997 Chevy k1500 I want to keep stock. I have a cassette player and I don't want to put a new radio in. I love the stock feel of these trucks and I'm really happy you showed this cause it really helped.
Thanks dude! You're still saving lives. Worked in my '04 Toyota Corolla. Also works on Bluetooth cassette adapters ❤️
Still helping people! Thanks dude!
Thanks man! I have a seat ibiza from 1999 and had this problem. Had to take all of the useless stuff out. Now i have a nice sound and no more noises!
VERY COOL! This worked wonderfully, and gave me back the ability to listen to my iPod in the car! Thanks!
This absolutely works, it did for me. Thanks man!
Thanks homie, you really helped me out. Take care.
This is genius! Worked like a charm. Thank you!!
Your got it's right on the ball there buddy, thanks for your help 😁👌
Worked like magic thanks! Even sounds a little better
got my second one out and IT WORKED!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
This worked for me. I bought mine 2 years ago lol. Now I can finally enjoy my music loud on my car speakers. Before I would have to use a small blue tooth speaker.
Mine started to do then then I got a new one and it did it to and I took it apart and today I had the idea to do this! Your video just confirmed my idea, thank you!
:)
This worked perfectly and I have the same Cassette aux thingy as you. Thank you so much!
This worked wonderfully, thank you! I have an '08 Lexus RX and this was super frustrating when I couldn't play audio.
Im bout to try have a 07 lexus gs 350 and no aux
Wow this helped me so much. Thank you from 2022! Using a Bluetooth Casey’s adapter for my 2003 Yukon xl we just bought this year!
A FREAKING LIFESAVER!!!!!!! I was worried this wouldn't work cause this video was posted 9 years ago (idk why I thought that) but 2024 & THIS ACTUALLY WORKS :)
Man there is a CZcams how to fix it video for everything!!!! I’m glad I found this also because I have a Bluetooth unit that is pretty handy.
You are the bomb, I was about to purchase/install a radio!
Just did this on a 2007 Toyota Avalon and it worked like a charm. Try taking all the gears out and no Bueno. So unfortunately you still hear the gears turning but other than that it's terrific. So Thanks
It worked! The ejecting was really annoying, thank you
Thanks worked perfectly.!!!
such an easy fix, i love you so much man ❤
It's really THAT easy??! I have a '98 Lincoln Mark 8 stock stereo system & I am about to try this fix. Keeping fingers crossed cuz I've learned many times...if something sounds so easy, simple, etc, it turns out to be a very big pain in the ass. But, here's to hoping it could really be just that easy!!!
THANK U so much for helping me out
I signed in just to say thanks for the help it actually worked
smb963 u signed in????? FUCK
Perfecto!! Been having this problem for years and now, hey presto.....all ok.....many thanks!
You're very welcome.
Thank you - this was a big help!
Thanks brah...I literally just watched your video and did exactly what you viewed and you were right...its works...I appreciate you homie...🤙👏👏👏🤝🤜🤛✌
It worked ! I remover all the gears and its working perfectly. Thanks
Ah thank you works perfectly now!! Mix tapes time!
thank you man so helpful took me three tries to get it right but so worth it
You should also add if it's not working to select side 2 on the car and it works fine, thanks for the video
Thanks a lot man! Not only d8d my cassette to auxiliary stop working, but no tapes would work at all and this fixed that too! Now I can play my Jody high roller again!!!👍🏻😆
Thank you so much I got my cassette working again because of you i can listen to my music again and once more thank you you were very helpful.
Absolute Zero Hey, I'm glad to hear that I helped you out. Don't forget to drop a like and a sub! :D
Will do
Some cassette players will auto-stop the tape if both reels don't move together. I haven't tested that in various cars, but I know I have an old boombox that will. Just a heads up for people looking to remove all gears.
that’s exactly where i’m stuck at😭 cassette doesn’t play audio but taking out all the gears makes it spit it out lol
after all trying i did, u helped me easily, thx
This stopped it from flipping to a to b... but now it just errors from the get go and spits it out.
idk if this matters, but I drive a 2001 Volkswagen new beetle with the built in system. .-.
Thanks m8! It’s working really smooth. Saved me some bucks!
This video helped a lot and it actually worked!
Thank you!! Needed this for my cadillac catera!
I took everything out and need help putting it back together :((
Worked fine for me ,thank you for sharing...😁😁
This worked perfect for me! Now I just have the gear noise so I think I’m going to take them out
Tried it and it worked! Thank you!
Thanks for this video, dude!
I got tired of burning mix CDs every few weeks and I want to listen to music from my MP3 player.
I have the Monster one and the music sounds crystal clear when it works.
My car keep reversing the cassette and won't play the music continuously.
I also have one from RCA which works fine, but the music sounds dull and muddy for some reason, so I want to make the Monster one work.
I've been watching videos on how to fix this problem, but the first guy gave the whole history of cassettes and CDs before getting to the meat of the video and didn't really seem to know what he was talking about.
The next guy wasn't knowing how to speaking the English.
Then I found your video!
So thanks again!!!
problem solved! thanks dude. PS. taking all the gears out didn't work for mine. I still had to keep the main ones in there.
+Caleb Olshefsky I am glad to hear that I helped you. Thanks for giving feedback in regards to taking out all the gears.
I just snipped off the rubber O ring on the that gear with a pair of tweezers and sizzors . I tried removing the gear all together but it still would just do auto reverse so I had to reinstall the gear without the O ring. that got it.
so if you have one of these and you pull all gears out except the main gears in the center holes? It will work?
Four years later I had to take out all the gears and works great, thanks man
Lol damn I just waited 2 years. But we kept it all those years because we had hope
@@MetaITurtle You honestly deserve an award 🥇 for never giving up hope!
Thank you so much for your video. It works very well for me.
You saved my a lot of money thanks once again !
This worked great! Thanks so much!
THANKS MAN! Just took a road trip and couldn't figure this out.
Will this work on stock Toyota head units (like out of a 4th gen Camry and 2nd gen Sienna)?
This helped me sooo much thanks for the video!!
I am glad to hear that.
You're awesome dude totally worked for me
Thanks man. Appreciate this video
This video did the work for me thanks a lot brotha
I took out the one gear from the audio cassette as directed and it still ejects seconds after I insert it, then I took out ALL the gears, and it still ejects from my car radio! I am feeling extremely pissed off in Illinois!
jerrymosenson100 Same. I just said fuck it and smashed the thing with a hammer
Same.
Same
I just took the gear out havnt tried it yet. Im in Illinois too!
bro mine doesn’t work either i’m in illinois too
Thanks bro worked perfectly!!
We need more people like you in the world, fixed my problem, thanks man!
I can confirm this absolutely works!! I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre and every time I would put the cassette aux adapter in it would say “clean” and spit it back out. So I bought a cassette cleaning kit and that did nothing. I tried this and now it works! 😁 soooo happy I can listen to my music now 🙌🏻
Any clue how to fix it if my adapter has no gears at all? It just has the metal piece on the end attached to the wire. No gears or anything.
To be honest with you, I wouldn't know about that one. I would suggest maybe picking up one that has gears and testing it out.
Thanks man really helped 👍👍
You’re a rock star. Thank you.
Commented just to say thanks-now I can jam in my nissan skyline!! :)
WORKS GREAT THANKS. I can finally get rid of my static cig lighter adapter. I have tried the cassette adapter with no gears at all but it only plays for a second then ejects.
Roxanne Hazel I am glad to hear that I was able to help you out! :D
i was on the verge of stomping my monster one into the ground because of months of this issue happening and going away, bless you good sir.
Perfect fix. Sitting in this old ass john deere 4040 was getting boring cuz this adapter kept cutting out. 👍👍
Mine's ejecting in a weird way. First it automatically gets "sucked" in and when it does, it's not centered. It's kinda wopp sided then it ejects. I'm starting to think it's the deck instead of the adapter but idk. Any tips or advice to fix this?
Nate Green thanks I'm funny ik ik
CowBoy15 to get to see v
Worked for me with the black web bluetooth cassette. Thanks bro!
Works amazing now! Thank you!!
worked like a charm thanks!
Thank you so much this really worked!
Great, simple, fixed.
This helped with a 2004 Toyota Avensis -- thanks a lot!
