I saw Bon Iver live in May of 2018 at Sasquatch at the Gorge in Washington state and still to this day I can feel that moment right in the center of my heart. It was the closest thing I’ve ever had to a “religious experience” as it may be called. My wife was 7 months pregnant and I remember Holocene starting and I had my wife sitting in front of me in the grass and I held her belly where our daughter was growing and we listened to this song and just swayed to the music and I just had tears flowing from my eyes and I was purely happy. If there was a single moment in life I’d like to relive that would be it. It was truly magical and I will cherish it forever.

My favourite gig I’ve ever been to. I must have been standing a little to your right, in line with Sean Carey on the drums. Your videos are better than the ones I took that night so always like to return to yours to remember just how special this show was.
It's 3am. I'm drunk crying in my room eating rice. Been a rough couple days for no particular reason. When the whole band comes in around 1 or 2 minutes into Holocene I straight lost it lmaoo. There's just something about this song. It's literally perfect. The chord progression is simple but combined with the timing of the changes it just has the perfect amount of give and take, and the way the bassline moves throughtout the song just fuckin' does something to me that I can't explain.
