I’m so angry at psychiatrists, got so many friends on various Psyche meds, desperate to get off them and their practioners just prescribe yet more meds, almost as if they view their desire to get off them as further proof for the need of them.. it’s unconscionable
Meee tooo. They're EVIL FOOLISH MONSTERS in my opinion. At best just ignorant as hell. They ARE committing Crimes Against Humanty
Funny when I needed help my doctors were super reluctant to prescribe anything other than anti depressants which made me worse
@@frederickmuhlbauer9477very nice comment and a lot of people making fun of benzos or bashing them are not understanding that there are people that really need them that would have been saved from life-threatening situations but instead they are put on antidepressants or other medications that literally they think mimic benzo but they do more damage just like ssris

They call it your “ illness “ coming back.
Extremely helpful and informative. I appreciate you. There is no relationship between patient and provider. It's so easy to become addicted in today's medical industry because it's the easiest way for physicians to manage patients. And no one is listening. The minute you ask a question about your own care they see you as uncooperative.
Very well said. Thank you. ❤️
What is this bullshit his a drug addict he admits its it on his own channel
Hey Joseph - it would be really helpful if you made a video for loved ones and relatives to understand what is going on with someone suffering from psych withdrawal. And how they can support that person and believe them. Perhaps interview relatives and loved ones.
Agreed, Adam. My brother was my Caretaker. For weeks and weeks on end; it was devastating.
We are twins; we did not need to be ANY closer. It was traumatizing for him to see me-his Irish twin who he has adored and protected our whole lives-so physically ill and out of my Mind. He doesn’t talk about it; not even to this day-not to ME anyway, what HE suffered-and it will be 5 years Benzo-free for me this Christmas. He researched and did all/everything he could for me; it was all so very confusing and terrifying for him. He would be willing to discuss what it was like Then and offer some helpful advice. ❤️
@@donna6165 my god, my heart goes out to both of you. You are lucky to have someone like that.
I think he should contact Dr Witt-Doerring and do an interview. It would help so many people and relatives of loved ones.
How are you now?? How long was it till you could function again? Were you also cold turkeyed?
I agree. I have thought the same thing. It carries more weight for some people not familiar with benzos to have a medical provider speak. And so far, I’ve never seen a psychiatrist do that.
How did he get off it ?
What i find surprising is that these videos get so few views. So many people are affected by these horrid drugs yet not many watch. I wish no one would suffer from benzo damage but these videos need to go viral somehow. Social media is the only way to make change since doctors dont care...and they need to!

Right. 🙄
And All the people who commit suicide cause they couldnt take it anymore? Did God abandon them? Cause it seems he picks and chooses who he heals and to me thats very unfair.
@ariannateodora5469 exactly. Or the ones who say they got a sign or a dream of their date they would heal and then they did. Or healed after going to a prayer meeting. So why not me? I did all of those things? Had the same dreams with dates. Had signs that went no where. I believe in God fully but he sure plays favorites
@@brokenwingedsongbird I understand, as a Christian who went through this first hand. I have a friend who said she was healed in an instant. That was far from my experience, it was hell to be C/T by a doctor and think I had lost my mind. I prayed night and day, thinking I was going to die. However, I found my way out eventually. The internet was new, but I found the Ashton Method online, and a group of a hand full of people going through what I was. I knew I wasn’t crazy, and I started the slow water tritiation. It took awhile, but I got my life and sanity back. It was withdrawal free, no lasting effects, 30 years free. Why did my friend have and instant miracle, and I didn’t? Only God knows. Her plan and purpose for her life was different than mine. Maybe that is why I am here today, to help others manage their way, and know there is hope! A survivor here. I finally allowed myself to be written a script. I stayed away from most everything.
I withstood all of my issues until I met the best therapist. And I was at 58 tired of stress of dealing w. PTSD and anxiety and explained how I felt to her. She put me on Mirtazapine to try it. There is no drug that alleviates brain pain of S.A. for me. At end of month I chose to not renew script. I could feel the yuck of withdraw, that raw feeling. I remember thinking that is what most can't endure, perhaps that keeps them going for more. I toughed it out for 2 weeks.
But I know why other's don't and get "hooked". Little plus for me but the raw "crave" after only a month on them. No thanks. By the 3rd week off I started to feel normal again.
Never again. Tee
Anti depressants and benzo's aren't that bad if you take them in low dose for short amounts of time. Antipsychotics are simply criminal and need to be banned altogether
@@veganaise2383not sure why you say that, if you're involved in these benzo groups they are taking over your brain and your personality and I can almost guarantee you're not the same person you once were. Those groups are dangerous more dangerous than the benzos themselves along with bashing people that don't have any problems when they come off is absolutely absurd and makes the healing process nearly impossible because they are so sensitive to information that it's like a virus spreading around, especially when it's misinformation
I had a one on one coaching session with Dan this morning. He made me feel validated !! I was rapid detoxed off Valium 25mg in 24 days. This brain injury is REAL !! I'm nearly 11 weeks off and slowly healing.

Great show! I believe the same on a lot of people who are going to be getting off benzo's. The word is getting out there. I have just under 5K friends on FB. I took Xanax for 23 years and started tappering 2 & 1/2 years ago. Hardest thing I ever did. Finally starting to sleep and feel better. Been a very long hard road as well. Glad you came out like you did Dan. ❤😊🙏
We will never forget what benzo withdrawal felt like.
Withdrawal from Xanax is hell or was for me anyway
all this is really scaring me bc i've been on 3 mg xanax 27 yrs and it's no longer prescribed the provider took me off abruptly left her position and then i was dismissed and can't find any drs to prescribe or taper me off benzos. what can i do??
@@KatieLennox I'm sorry to hear that Katie. The industry is evil. They don't give you much choice but to shop around for a doctor, find them on the street or suffer. Go to the ER when it get's bad.
I tapered off pain meds over 18 months. Have severe chronic pain so there was no possibility of enduring withdrawal on top of pain. Did the exact same thing every day. Put my head down, did slow ass physical therapy daily while consuming copious amounts of nicotine & coffee, didn't look up til I was done. Stasis again. I can feel Tylenol now
This gentleman seems so well spoken and confident yet humble. He's come so far since his initial anxiety. Kudos and wishing him and his family the best!!
What a candid young man who is blessed to walk away from all the drugs and alcohol. I find him very inspiring.
God Bless this man. Helping others that are in the situation he was in and helping other addicts is what we are called to do if we make it out on the other side. Once we dig ourselves out of the hole, we are supposed to turn around and help others get out. So much respect for you. Xoxo ❤
Amen to that.
I went through horrific withdrawals as well and was in 4 different hospitals until I was finally put on the gabapentin in a detox facility. It saved me as well. It has been a little over a year now and I would love to be able to get off the gabapentin but I heard that it is also hard to get off of so I have a question: How long were you on the gabapentin and how did you taper off of it? Thank you for sharing your story for all of us to hear and giving us some hope. God bless you and your family.
not even remotely close to benzos or opiates man. don't let it scare you. i have kicked them 3 times twice at max dose ... 3 days of hot colf flashes and anxiety. that's it. you will sleep , you'll wake up drenched in sweat you'll be socially anxious for about 5 days and it's over.taper and it will be nothing but hot cold flashes very mild anxiety. it will be NOTHING like the others. hmu anytime.

Insomnia plays such a huge role in one's mental and physical well being. Benzos and "Z" drugs are often brought in to help with chronic sleeplessness. It then becomes a vicious cycle. Any words of wisdom on this one when CBT, etc doesn't work at all? Personally, insomnia came first, way before depression set in. After years, I am doing okay, but I'd still like your thoughts on this. Thank you for this discussion!
yes true for me too they prescribed seriquel for sleep but days/nights still messed up
Thank you, Josef. You are changing my world
That's very similar to my issues. I'm now facing the consequences of the combination of Tramadol (opioid pain-killer) and Zopiclone (a Benzo) for sleep which suddenly stopped working. I'm trying to quit both. Tramadol makes the "Benzo belly" worse. None of the doctors and specialists I had seen to try to diagnose my problems ever suggested that my problems were related to the prescription drugs I was taking.
Where do you live? Like what state? 😊
Zopiclone is not a benzo.
Yeah zopiclone is a Z drug. Not a benzo, but they have similar effects and withdrawals. And from my experience, tramadol also has and absolutely awful withdrawal as well. Worse than most much stronger opioids because of its effect on serotonin.
Absolute credit to you for pushing through all of this. Thank you for being someone to identify with & show that we can hopefully get back to some type of functioning. 🙏🏼🌟
Thank you for sharing your story🥰🥰 I’m so glad to hear that you’re doing better!!

It sounds like he went to my first psychiatrist. I was having horrible panic attacks and didn't know, never heard of a panic attack. This lunatic doctor gave Xanax and phetromine and sleeping pills, Prozac and more. He also told me to drink 2 glasses (what the hell 3..his exact words). Also, morphine. In Florida too. He is crazy and still practices. I did change doctors in his group, yes he owns the entire group. I went on my own to pain management for the pain. I got myself off of everything except Xanax but I cut that in half. I am a cronic pain patient so if I went into rehad, no pain treatment ever. I do have neurological issues from this. We never get warned. I shouldn't watch these videos because it freaks me out. The doctor said I will die from benzo withdrawal. How to find a coach? I need some support.

Thank you both so much. There is no better way to start, I agree. Those who have survived the lived experience of this terrifying damage and injuries, prescribed or otherwise, are in the right place to offer support in service to others. We need this to stop now and to walk each other home, as Ram Dass said. From desperation and a shattering of who we are, comes a deep surrender. The ego gets its "butt kicked" big time and in turn, personal alchemy can occur if we can get out of our own way. It is the sense of "know thyself". I am personally witnessing every day the immense strength of the human spirit. Miracles happen. Enchantment of life can return, with faith. Keep shining.

After psych-drugs stabilization is a matter of life and death and for many of us the answer is tobacco.
Everytime I try to quit I go nuts, so far failing miserably. So I'm building a special hot tub designed for
high intensity heat per the Japanese tradition with settings upwards of 118f/47c. It's a last ditch effort,
but in the past this worked very well. The key is full-head immersion in high heat prior to sleep.
I got injured by Prozac per the usual "anhedonia PSSD" and also as a result of longterm Klonopin
that proved equally devasting to me. Stabilization without tobacco is my nex therapuetic goal,
this per religious implications as a matter of correct practice in the context of faith. My experience
dealing with this problem is very similar to that reported by Dan with brain disregulation parallel
to this issue of benzo-belly. The latter pathology has proven easy to treat but the matter of getting
the swelling of the brain under control requires more; high intensity heat therapy is key.
Idk, I’d think heat might cause more swelling.
maybe tobacco is not as dangerous as the meds.
I have to say 1 in 10 could not get through that. Congrats to Dan
P.S. GREAT channel!

It’s seems to me that he had addictive behavior from the start of his young adult life. Drinking alcohol, taking opiates like oxycodone OxyContin (not an easy drug to get.) It makes me angry because my daughter suffers from Complex regional Pain syndrome cause by multiple surgeries to her left foot. The surgeries were for rare vascular tumors call hemangioendothelioma. She has had ketamine infusions which scared her half to death. Multiple sympathetic nerve blocks that would last a day or two. She was seen by the chief of staff on orthopedic oncology during which time she developed CRPS. She woke up during a biopsy for these tumors that erode the bone. So her pain and PTSD is significant. She needs Xanax snd she needed it since she was 16 years old.
You seem to be sending a message of not prescribing medications that make people like my daughter not commit suicide from pain and trauma
I am so sorry for the suffering your daughter endured and consequently the effect it must have had on you. Several members of my family, and myself, have suffered from the adverse effects of iatrogenesis and the conditions preceding the failed interventions. However, not everyone has the good fortune of a stable and supportive formative environment. Psychological pain can equal physical pain and in modern society is harder to recognise and treat due to the stigma of mental illness. Where can people be honest about their perceived failings in order to help others in similar positions?. I understand your frustration and sense of existential injustice but what these gentlemen are discussing is profoundly therapeutic for others in similar situations. The honesty in this conversation is an imperative step forward and I suspect developmental CPTSD may have been a factor leading to the addictive tendencies'. The Dr doesn't send a message of non-prescribing, he sends a message of safe withdrawal for those whom these medications do not benefit. This is one of many interviews and in others he does state that he believes there is a time and place for drugs like Xanax. Best wishes.
Most benzodiazepine users are talking their own prescription as prescribed. That is my story for 25 years. I was also prescribed antidepressants, the depression I now know was caused by the benzos, so was the anxiety for that matter. It's only now that I'm off of them that I realize they were causing ALL of my anxiety and depression symptoms. I have protracted benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, so I have many symptoms now that I'm off, but depression and anxiety are not among them. Part of the point of these videos is to show people that their issues may be being caused by the very medication they are taking to help.
Pro informed consent is what we demand from our doctors. Some people like your daughter may very well need them for pain management or anxiety but doctors over prescribed and do not warn of risks. Know that so many were taken unaware of the process of tapering antidepressants and benzodiazepines and ended up in psych wards or even worst.
@@MsCarmel55 Absolutely! More understanding of our complex psychological needs and the effect early trauma has on people is essential if we want to foster a healthy society. We're a social species but told we need to fend for ourselves alone. Good rapport could render these medications useless, unless under extreme circumstances.

@@thatguy1729 Drug seeker lol Don’t think so bubba
Are you off the gabapentin?
The faces you make do not make you look like a professional Dr. Maybe you should change that, I know you are, but looking at the faces probably concerns people like it did me.
Holy shiiii vyvance and benzos. That Dr. is sick and twisted.
Ah I see he managed to find another worst case scenario person to interview. After watching this video, make sure you enroll into his practice and pay him $20-$40k to teach you how to taper...

The Masons. They ALL are....including the guest. Its order out of chaos....they create the chaos( the damage done), then implement " the order"....( control op)such as Josef. They control all sides. They d have it no other way. He worked for f.d.a before? Says it all.
I loathe the negativity of this doctor
