I once had this LP album who was given to me by a friend and played it almost every day. I then lent it to a 'friend' to have a listen. I asked for it back. "Friend" said she lent it to her friend. After asking a few 'friends' I gave up my search. So, if any of my "friends" are reading this ... keep it. Or just pass it down. Maybe I'll get it back when I'm in my early, mid, late or later than late senior years. Enjoy the music.

Janet Craft: That's why I don't loan books to " friends." You wouldn't believe ( well, you might, judging by yr comment ) the reasons/excuses/BS my " friend " couldn't return my book. I wasn't bothered so much about paperbacks, but hardcover copies...many I couldn't even buy another copy of unless I had some serious cash, and at the time, I certainly didn't. Oh, I know this is no consolation, but I just listened to ' Queen of Siam ' before scrolling down and reading your comment.
One of my top favorite albums to exist on this planet.

As someone who sold/gave away all of his rare original pressing punk, goth and experimental records, hold onto this and others like it for dear life. Don't lend it out, and if you get to a place where u feel done with lugging around vinyl, still don't get rid of it.
I have to hear all these albums I used to have on vinyl on CZcams or cd, now, and it sounds about half as good as it did on a record player.

“Jazz licks”.... lmao. I love when people who obviously weren’t vibed hard enough and dont know the first thing about jazz try to pull from it. Nothing about anything in here is jazz. Just because a saxophone plays diatonic melodies on a downbeat track doesnt make it anywhere near jazz.

Atomic Bongos 14:36. Listen to it. A classic. Something that'd be a radio hit if the radio was open to anything that's high quality. No album like this. Even Lydia only believes in 1 band, 1 album and then move on apparently. Probably like for this too. I got to see 13:13 like 1981. Just her and 2 guys. I love that album too.
"Gloomy Sunday" and "Tied and Twist", though relatively minimalistic, make me think of Angelo Badalamenti's compositions for David Lynch projects.
