Nice to hear Lidia speak, I am grateful she came and delivered such excellent gig in my home country. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
"The writings of Lester Bangs." Yes ma'am!!!
that's the back of my head in the center of most of this video
TO each His own, Mister Man. Your 'view' is as valid as mine or anyone elses, as is the Right to agree or disagree.
YeS...I WAS There, too (also). "has-beens"?...."grasping at current relevance"?!... I Think NOT! ... Lydia (as well as even Byron) and of course some others (Lydon comes to mind) are F**KIN' LEGENDS of the Music World. Also these are some VERY intelligent & Worldly individuals- Pretty relevant to me.
"punk" was world altering..socially..politically..and musically. I cannot Imagine what my life might have become without my Life Long involvement in "punk"... "so what"?...
NOTE- The above is MY opinion only, and is not better or worse than Mr. Man's. (just my equalizer statement). Thank You...and... (I can't help myself) L.A.M.F. !!

COOL! But Lunch could also add in the Wakefield Press and NYBR catalogues for even more protest Euro lit.
Tanya Pearson states that she had to find out about Lydia Lunch through a sonic youth song , meaning that Lydia didn't have enough exposure or high profile which is complete and utter bullshit bc Lydia was extremely well known in the "punk" or alternative "underground" scenes. Lydia was a very high profile artist and had quite a lot of promotion , more than most mainstream artists albeit her promotion just happened to be in Flipside and Maximum Rock n Roll. Point being that during the 80s she was heavily promoted in the alternative publications of her heyday.

It’s Us- that’s a band many of us won’t check out.
I NOW HAVE TWO CHILDREN A TEEN DAUGHTER SIERRA AND JUST TURNED TWENTY BUT STILL GOING ON TWO LOL ADRIEN THIS INTERVIEW A TRUE TREAT TO ME
Her cohort had NOTHING to say. That says something to me.
Like like like like
I'm not going to donate my archives but they are up for sale lololol...ahahahahaha
Smell it
LYDIA IS A FUCKING TRIP; BEAUTIFUL HILARIOUS ONCE UPON A TIME A 'PHONE FRIEND" OF MINE WHEN I LIVED IN AZ AT THE TIME OF "PEOPLE WRITING FUCKING LETTERS"
Lydia absolutely laid that girl in the end. That is what she is good for she may be arrogant and obnoxious but that is due to how passionate she is and she is dead on about political correctness!!
dude shut up
@@whatisahandlee do you say shut up to anyone you disagree with.
would you go to the deep hood at 1:39 am on a wednesday and tell someone at the corner store to Shut up.
no. you wouldn't. Karen
Lydia Lunch is the aunt I want
She’s the queen of my world
Good luck
To me she comes across as so very obnoxious and full of herself.
who are you?
@@tottekarlsson Who I am is a person who can make observations and have opinions based on my interpretation of those observations.
Would be nice if she dropped the persona once in a while. When I was a teenager I thought she was so cool, but now it’s kinda sad.
@@politicaltroll8920 Be a real troll. Not a caricature of one.
@@pairadeau thay applies to her more than me tbh
You weren’t the first person to do spoken word, it existed since before the Harlem renaissance & it was always a part of black music which was the basis for Rick & roll.
It's her dark humor
I'm so sorry Lydia had to listen to this drog for so long...her facial expressions says it all!
Bored bored board board board
One of them is a muscian , poet ,film maker, performance artist etc and a woman. The other writes for a few music mags , is a permanent adolescent. And a man. Guess who we hear droning on the most !!!!
The chick with the brown hair is clearly bitter. There are literally THOUSANDS of women musicians that have released records, written books, etc, etc. ‘I’m tired of hearing men speak’… Lololol Whatever. 😂
some will get it, some will not
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
😝🙄
nice try lydia- not the o/g goth
NICO IS THE ORIGINAL GOTH
Shes always moving her mouth strangely. Look at the Nardwar interview.
I’m sure if we put you on display, everyone could find something “a bit off” to criticize.
This is excruciating. Who is...no. Lydia. So much tolerance. This 'interview' requires a medal of bravery for any 'interviewee' still living. CHUCK NORRIS? UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE NON SHITE.
Looks like Lydia needs to lay off the lunch
You first, Pugsly.
its hilarious when artists egos think they are hear to save the world and fix problems. That's for the scientists and engineers, you know...the people who actually solve problems, not artists
There are many avenues to solve problems.
@@jamiboothe definitely but art is not one of them
@@349scotty5 You know this because..?
@@jamiboothe because the world isn't built by artists. Its build by people in STEM. Science and engineering are the mediums of problem solving.
Art is the medium of communicating emotions.
Problem solving is not an emotional process.
@@jamiboothe artists tend to be highly emotional, and have all the features that make them opposed to problem solving fields.
They also tend to have egos, that make them believe they should be the ones to solve the worlds problems, and make decisions based on their emotions, but they are the Literal worst medium for solving problems and really shouldn't be listened to when it comes to solving things.
Joe Rogan destroyed this woman, she lost the little popularity she had. I really dont like her
Lauty Bend 'destroyed'.Not being American, I have no idea who Joe Rogan is, and after watching the clip I'm still baffled as to his appeal.
Joe Rogan's fanbase is primarily frat boy types in their 20s and 30s. Lydia Lunch's fans are mostly over 40.
