Hi Kachi, I have made circular skirts with non stretchy fabrics and I always hang them after cutting because some parts tend to get uneven on the hem. In stretch fabrics this isn't necessary?

i've been watching your channel for years, but this is the first time i'm going to buy a pattern--i really need this dress to go dancing in! oh, i have a question: did you use zig-zag stitching throughout the dress to maintain the stretch? or just at the waist? many thanks--and happy new year to you! :)

I'm sorry< but what kind of stitch did u use on the waist seam? Bc if u used just the straight stitch, it's gonna rip so fast bc of the stretchy fabric. Unless your machine is the chain stitch one, then it's okay, but i feel like u should have addressed that anyway, bc not everyone has an industrial chain stitch machine, and not everyone knows what stitch to use for stretchy fabrics on a domestic machine. The dress is very cute tho!
You’re completely right! I should have addressed this: the easiest would obviously be a zigzag but I used a straight stitch with a small stitch length which makes it durable for stretching a bit. Then a third option would be stretchy thread.
