FINALLY, MY SAW BLADES HAVE A STORAGE PLACE | MAKING A SAW BLADE STORAGE UNIT

  • All my saw blades had laying around, in it's original packages, in my workshop. Almost never near the table saw. So i needed a solution for storing my saw blades near where i use them. So i came up with a solution which works great for me. Unfortunatelly I had not enough time to make doors, but maybe i will make doors someday.

    For many Woodworkers, they have different sizes of saw blades. There are 7 1/4" circular, 10" table and 12" miter saw blades.
    Then, there are people like me. I have a METAL blade for steel in all sizes and a set of solid steel blades for laminates.
    So that's about a dozen of them that I have stacked up.
    If I made it horizontal, with the pin going through the front top to bottom. Each one could pivot out like a shelf AND hold all of my blades.
    Good idea. I just have to reorient the layers to horizontal and a piece of angle for a pin rest.

    This is a much better design than others that I have seen. If I ever get a real tablesaw and multiple blades, I'll probably build a storage cabinet like this.

  • @wilhelmtaylor9863
    @wilhelmtaylor9863 Před 4 lety +2

    A small suggestion: most 10" blades are 1/8" wide, slightly more than the 3mm inner partition, which makes for a tight fit. I would suggest using 3/16" (actual size = .175" = 4.4mm) masonite which you can get at home depot for $14 for a 48x96" sheet (Model# 832780). That way you won't have pull the blades out of their sleeves. I do like the idea of this as convenient and volume sparse. Danke.

      @ISIMPLYBUILTIT  Před 4 lety

      Thanks. But all of my blades are 2.8mm in width. So using 3mm MDF works perfect.

      Und schon mal überlegt, dass er auch was von YT haben muss, für all seine Ideen und Zeit die er da reinsteckt; mit einem Vollzeitjob und Familie?

      @holzmotte Před 4 lety

      @@Metzolino ich habe nichts dagegen wenn Werbung in einem vernünftigen Maß gezeigt wird, aber nicht alle 2/3 Minuten. Im übrigen entscheidet er ob und wieviel Werbung gezeigt wird. Wenn er so gierig ist und alles abschöpfen will muß er sich nicht wundern wenn ihm die Zuschauer weglaufen.

    • @Metzolino

      Liebster Holzmotte, ok, wusst ich nicht, doch vielleicht stellt ers ja nach einiger Zeit wieder um, und wer sagt das ihm DIE Zuschauer weglaufen, woher weisst Du das? 🤷🏼‍♂️
      Du würdest ihn lieber zuerst fragen, warum er das so macht, denn alles hat seine Gründe, muss nicht das sein was Du schreibst.
      Und erstens gibts doch die Möglichkeit, dass man die Werbung sofort, mit einem Klick abstellt, so mache ich es IMMER.. 😉
      Und es gäbe auch noch apps, wo Du alles ohne Werbung ansehen könntest, also nur so als Idee 🤷🏼‍♂️😊👍🏼
