All that wonky beauty indeed and so heartening to see such careful restoration. We need people this dedicated now before all this history is lost. Even in an age where historic buildings are being bought by people who are in love with the idea unfortunately they just don't get it and are too quick to gut the inside, plaster over everything with gyprock and modern materials and paint 😢

Stokesay Castle was fantastic and I loved your casual remark, when showing us the basement, that the age was about 1080. That is incredible and I had to pause the video and just absorb that fact and look at every piece of wood and imagine what people were doing nearly 1,000 years ago. I doubt if houses built today would last that long. The Manor house was really special too. Thank you for your upload.

We did the forestry by the ponds and stream in frost so hard your hands cried . In those days it was all hand tools . Full week of graft for £45.

We have a vast amount of space in Australia but some of our cemeteries feel the need for ‘renewal’ which basically means they are selling the space between graves. You may think it’s not so bad but the desecration and removal of graves stones is deplorable. Some are placed in another section , a lot are destroyed as there is no family to save them.

" This Castle looks so French. It's super French. It's Ultra French!"
Said while standing in front of a traditional English Tudor facade.😂

Thank you for this tour. Words simply don't do it justice. Beautiful. Here in the US they tear down our history for "progress". It's very sad.

So lovely to see Stokesay Castle again. When I lived in Mid Wales, it was one of my favourite places to take my children and all the many visitors we had. Just magical.

I just love Britains beautiful unique architecture and countryside. I feel so lucky to have been brought up in this country for its sheer beauty and a sense of belonging. I’m off to the north in October to see Lutyens lindesfarne at holy island then all the amazing places in Northumberland.

Stokesy Castle was one of my favorite locations when we visited five years ago. Your comments about the stairway to the old tower rooms reminded me of whether to see the upstairs or stay in the great hall. I braved the stairs.
