I’d be really interested in a video where you cover ingredients that should not be mixed together in the same routine-like some common offenders that are likely being used incorrectly. Like the copper and vitamin c. I find that very interesting.

I've been using this Needle-less serum for about a month and a half, twice a day, along with DRMTLGY's Age Reversal Neck Cream, and I have to say, my skin looks better. My complexion has improved. It's smoother, more hydrated and I've noticed that hyperpigmentation due to old acne scars and melasma have faded. The neck cream has an odd smell but it goes away once it dries down (according to sniff test from my husband). When I will be leaving my house, I use the DRMTLGY Tinted Moisturizer SPF 45 after the serum and my skin feels great. I can easy put on a light foundation without any greasiness. Hope this helps any other early 40's person on the fence. Thanks for the recommendations Dr Dray

I'm always learning something new when I watch your videos! I had no idea using a copper peptide would affect vitamin C. I don't use copper peptides but was thinking about trying it, so thank you. I'm also happy to hear you mention using an acid before Vitamin C may help the performance, because that's what I've been doing. In fact, my favorite Vitamin C, TARTE's Youth or Dare Multi-Acid & C-Serum, has glycolic acid in it. I've tried many different Vitamin C serums, from budget to luxury, but had the best results with Tarte, and I was actually able to finish the full size before it oxidized!

Thanks for touching on the "Copper peptides shouldn't be used with vitamin c" subject. I read that on The Ordinary's webpage for their Buffet + Copper Peptide and wondered why you couldn't mix the two (I suspected but it's nice to have someone in the know say it out loud).

I love what you said about keeping your routine simple!! I was just listening to this review and thinking the same thing. I’ve got my routine in place with the various products approved by you, and I’ve been very happy with the results. I would only consider adding a tretinoin or a retinol; however, I don’t have acne or any skin conditions except for some wrinkles and mature skin.

    • @cmsmith2077

I started using tretinoin for hormonal acne & aging 3 yrs ago & I love the improvements. Def the texture (my skin is so soft), my pores are diminished on my nose & chin. my acne is gone. Anyway, my point is you can benefit from tretinoin even if you don't have acne. ;)

Nice to see the DMRTLGY tinted sunscreen on your video :) I recently switched to DRMTLGY tinted sunscreen on your recommendation. I *love* it, even though it is a bit dark (reddish) on me--just hoping the extra iron oxides will help with post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (I am of South Asian descent and probably III or IV on the Fitzpatric scale. The universal tint is somehow too dark on me and yet I would consider myself to be a little darker-skinned than you. It seems to match your skin tone somehow even though you are lighter-skinned than me. Weird...

Great video Dr. Dray! Love ❀ Anna W.'s work ethic. I appreciate bosses who use direct feedback and a tough approach. In the end, they want you to be your best. Bosses are not your friends, they are responsible for furthering the company's interests. The way to accomplish this is to pick the best team possible, and to coach them in areas where the employee falls short. If an employee is not meeting these expectations, they are wasting everyone's time, including their own time. Athletes and musicians train to achieve competency, nurses and physicians require CEU (Continuing Education Units) to maintain their skills, and employees education doesn't end at University, hopefully, people will be life long learners.

I ordered this serum on their sale recently- it’s coming today- so the jury is out- but I’m already using a copper serum that I really love from the Ordinary. I only use it at night. Vitamin C in the morning. I’ve been happy with this combination. I also love the tinted SPF from Dermatology!

I use TO copper serum too. On my second bottle. It does seem to have science behind it and since I have used tretinoin for decades I don’t need to use it every night so it’s a nice addition on three nights a week. Purely anecdotal but if I ever get a spot or scratch on my face it heals it overnight.

    • @Loralarify
      @Loralarify Pƙed 4 lety +1

Skin Hagg that’s the one I also use-(Buffett) I’ve seen a positive improvement in skin clarity, since starting it. It’s quite affordable priced, as well.
I’ve tried so many times to use a tretinoin product and my skin just hates it.

Skin Hagg I tried one at that strength from Skinceuticals- just a pea size amount twice a week.. my face was burned and swollen badly for two weeks -ugh.. I’ve been terrified to use it ever since. Maybe I should have mixed it with a moisturizer too. I’m on an oral chemo drug, too, (no cancer anymore, but it’s maintenance to prevent recurrence of ovarian cancer that I beat in 2017) Scary journey.. I’m pretty fortunate to be alive in this time period when remarkable drugs were discovered that individuals with the BRCA mutations respond to when nothing else works. Anyway, I got long winded there, but maybe that’s why I can’t use tretinoin, as it makes my skin more sensitive..but honestly, my skin has always reacted harshly to it.

Totally into Anna Wintur, too ! You have got her whole vibe down to a science ! Recently , I tried using the Cera Ve Healing Ointment all over my face overnight and was I surprised ! It works like a dream ! Left it on until about noon and then cleansed with the Cera Ve lotion cleanser . Perfection . Followed up with Cera Ve Daily Moisturizer 30 SPF . That is it these days . I'm never out more than 3-4 min. at a time; also, no windowsin room with TV ( light reflects on TV and nobody can see the screen due to reflection.) Adapilene is my HG ! I use it at night with the Hydroboost gel cream and Cera Ve Moisturizer ( big tub) over all. My skin has really picked up in thelast 3 mos. Love all your vlogs ! Love you like my own . Try our "marmoset" hilarious !!!

I was one of those who had immediate results. Literally the next day, my skin looked "better" and the second day, it was noticeably smoother and my pores were smaller. I had not used niacinamides before so I assumed it was that, but I have been using .1% tretinoin for almost a year and still had noticeable results. I'm a HUGE fan. I'm pretty simple, wash face, use tretinoin, then needle less (even though it has copper) and then moisturize at night, daytime I use the needle less and moisturize, then sunscreen. I don't wear a lot of makeup day to day, but own a ton, lol.

I use Skin Better Science Alpha Ret on my face in the pm and Vit C in the am. I use a strong drug store brand of Retinol on chest in the pm bc I can handle something a little stronger and don't want to spend as much money on something I'm slathering on my chest. I use Vit C on chest in the am too. Looking into a TCA home peep for chest and face...very low dose (7-15%). Maybe Dr. Dray can weigh in (or has before?) but I don’t think tretinoin and vitamin c work well together. They have a huge gap in the ph level they work best. Vitamin C needs a much lower ph (I’m guessing that’s why it helps to prep with salicylic acid before use?)

@@utube0372 it depends on your routine and how long you have been using actives. I prefer vitamin c in the am and tret at night but some days I use copper peptides in the am and move my vitamin c at night with tret.

I actually do have this serum. I had fine lines under my eyes and on my upper lip and the serum has definitely improved them. I’ve been using it for about 3 months. The only downside is that the niacinamide has really lightened the skin under my eyes and it makes my dark circles really stand out, lol. If anyone has dark circles due to pigmentation it may help. I haven’t experienced any irritation. It’s actually quite soothing.
