They were very buggy, and old, lacking a lot of information.I used a company to do the site/hosting for me, but it was very limiting on design and ability to react. I began to learn Wordpress, and about six months ago, discovered your tuts. I have watched a lot of your videos and been able to finally develop my site the way that I want it to be. This is absolutely the best available training on WP! Works like a charm. I missed the place where you created the archive page - vehicles. I have the archive template but not the page itself. I have gone back so many times but can't find it.
i think its now the 3rd day im watching this, besides a newborn (takes a lot of attention =) ), but this tutorial is really really helpful. Still need to rethink some of those condition, relations etc. but thank you so much. your entire series is helping me out through these days

Fantastic tutorial thank you very much! This works well but I have a problem with pagination. When I load the archive onto a page and click on the next or previous at the bottom of the page it directs to the exact same content and doesn't go to the new content further down in the pagination.

Hey Paul. Thanks for your referral to this tutorial. In the tutorial, you demonstrated how to set up search using just the 'vehicle' data. My question is can the 'dealers' also be added to that same search section so that you can do a search for a specific dealer? Further, will the search results then display all the vehicles belonging to that dealer? Many thanks again.

I'd probably just use a custom taxonomy for ease and then filter on that taxonomy.
You could also just use a custom meta field, but I think using a taxonomy is a bit cleaner.

Paul, I have to agree with all the accolades you get, your tuts are the best I have ever seen. I need help! I cannot find a video that directly addresses my particular need. This one on the car dealership is close but I have a little different challenge. I have only one product, but, there are hundreds of variations (every car has a different wheel and our product is specific to each wheel) and each one can come in one of 67+ colors. So I need a drop-down/cascading filter/search function (I want to know before I buy if 'Jet Engine' can do this? And I have yet to see a video that applies). The filter needs to select the Make/Model/Year of a vehicle and the color gets selected on the purchase page. So the data is supplied by importing a CSV file. My challenge is getting all these variables and colors set up in WP/WooCommerce. Anything you could do to send me in the right direction would be very much appreciated. I don't expect you would have a need to make a video for this specific issue but maybe you've seen something somewhere that might help. Thanx

Thanks, Paul, you can talk for a really long time, haha. Btw, I tried your technique to use the ACF gallery in the loop. When I click on an image, the lightbox shows up with *ALL* the images on that page, so you can scroll from the first image of the first vehicle to the last image of the last vehicle. Is there any way to limit the lightbox to only show the images attached to this gallery? Thanks.

Great tutorial. Confused about the part where you designate the archive page in the search and filter display results tab. You say to use the page name, and you put vehicles. Am I missing something? Did you create that vehicles page during this video, or are you referring to the name of the archive template? Did you create a page and then apply the archive template to it? I'm stuck at this part.
What would be the best way to get a dealership inventory into the site dynamically? What would you recommend if the DMS provides an JSON or XML file every day?

Hi Paul, I'm not sure the free Dynamic Content For Elementor Plugin is available anymore that works with Elementor Pro Flex Containers - so not sure we can use the ACF Repeater method on the front end as shown. If you know of a workaround, then please let us know. Many thanks.

Hi Paul, great guide!!! I have a question, I'm trying to add a ACF relationship field into a loop section, this loop section is used in an archive that is displayed as a web page. I created a section but when trying to add this section as a relationship ACF field it does not show me the content of the section. What can i do wrong?
Post archive: DFE version > Here there is a post called XW8200
Post archive: software version > these are in relationship with the DFE version > I can select the XW8200 field and add this.
Loop section: Software ACF fields included + ACF relationship section DFE version
Section: This contains the XW8200 fields.
Archive page: archive from all software versions > shows me all software versions created + filtering search&filter Pro
So the section XW8200 I cannot get it to load into the loop section. Is this not possible?

You'd need to target them directly with custom CSS as the plugin doesn't really give you much control over the styling I'm afraid.

Hello! thank you for this incredible tutorial! I am working my way through it and I'm having an issue specifically on 43:49. I am not showing an option for selecting the Vehicle Post type under Single Template option. Would you have any ideas why this would be the case? This is a very nice guide to follow, but i encountered some issues on the works of the dealership page im making.
im using hello theme with elementor and elementor pro
also i am using all the same plugins as you listed.
The first issue is that the repeater module makes some error at some kind, puts all the text and number data in the first ACF Fields in the repeater and the correct value in the second.
Do you have any idea on how i can get that fixed? so that i can deliver a fine piece of website art made with knowledge and fine information from your video.

I use dynamic category from PowerPack addons but the feature image I set for each category and sub category & sub sub category were not showing up. Only the title and qty of products. I have search your videos but I can not find that cover about dynamic categories. Please share links if you have created ones. Thanks
Have a look at PAFE, I think that has tools to make this type of thing possible.

How can it be done so that both in Search & Filter Pro and / or Facetwp you can put the horizontal search bar and not the sidebar? With facetwp what I do is put the shortcodes next to each other but I imagine there will be an easier way to do it ...

I'd need to take a look at how S&F Pro organises the form elements and see if they can easily be modified via some CSS. I'm sure it's possible though.
@@WPTuts Thank you very much Paul, I have looked for it and I have not found it. 90% of my clients are real estate agents and request the typical horizontal search engine and, for ACF, the only thing that occurred to me is what I said about putting the Facetwp shortcodes next to each other but it did not end up looking good visually :-(
Hi Paul, I have created Subfields within a Group in ACF but they do not show up in a Dynamic Widget in Elementor. Any idea what I have done wrong or what I need to do so I can see these fields in the a widget?

Question: Is it possible to create a video regarding the current compatibility / feature related issues with using ACF + Custom Post Types & Jet Smart Filters?
There seems to be confusion regarding this question all over the usual facebook groups and some clarification from a professional such as yourself would be helpful.
I know there are other plugins available for Filtering but they don't all have Ajax and or the same or similar features as Jet Smart Filters.
Additionally, any work arounds you have found to get around the issues you know of would be helpful.
I do not know if using ACF + JetEngine would cause issues, and if you have to duplicate data twice in order to have ability to use JSF.

I'd need to go back over JSF and see if they've updated things since I last spoke the to devs (a few weeks ago). I know it had partial support for ACF, but a few key areas were still missing.

Hi I tried JetSmartFilter and ACF, Ele Custom Skin with 'Post' Widget yesterday. Could not make it work. Seems like you need to be more on JetEngine Side of things. Keep it all on the 'Jet' side, as these are harmonized to work together
@@jean-paulmesserli8269 yeah, the ACF support inside JSF is still limited. Some fields are supported, but many are not.
I spoke to them a short while ago and they are aware of the limitation and will be working on it. But no timescales were mentioned unfortunately.
Hi. Is there any software/platform/plugin for tracking all the emails coming through an Elementor Form? We have a form on our webpage that sends the user's needs to our partners through an email. But it's very difficult for us to track whether a user was replied to, what the status of the request is, etc. Is there any way to individually see the status of every request? thanks

Helloo!! This tutorial is amazing! However I couldn't create the SINGLE POST TEMPLATE (Default Vehicle Single). When I tried to create the template and choose "Single" on select the type of template it doesn't give me the option to SINGLE I just can choose SINGLE POST. And it doesn't give the option of Select post type.

Paul... If I have the crocoblock suite, would the search and smart filters plugins work the same as the search and filter pro your using here? Obviously, they will be configured a little different, but if I already have plugins that will do the same, I'd tend to use them vs. buying more plugins. Thanks for all your efforts!
Hey Lyle, I don't think JSF supports the full array of ACF field types at present, so you'd have to build a similar setup with JetEngine to take advantage of it.

@@WPTuts Hey, another question on this. In the part where you are inserting the 'gallery' and picking 'custom URL, you have the option of the 'dynamic' to link to the post. I am not seeing that on my screen however, it doesn't display the dynamic option here for me. Is there something else that is adding this option in? E 2.9.7 & 2.9.2. I tried a fresh installation as well, and the same thing. I'll push this to Elementor unless your aware of some other item is adding this in?
