    You can actually move the buttons under the Car functions menu by pressing down on a buton and move it to the position you want. I find that very useful.

    Thanks Kris for this great video. I have 2018 XC60 and everything seems to same (I have also updated Spotify to the recent version)
    However, I have a question since the beginning why instrument cluster theme do not change with the drive mode. I mean, I was expecting to see performance theme once I select dynamic from the selector.
    As far as I know it was the case for previous Volvo's (pre-spa)
    Please comment...

    Very good review. Could you do an in-depth review of the car settings? I mean to go through all menus - My cars, Sound, Media etc.

    Hey Kris, reat job. Thinking about getting the new S60 when it arrives here in Morocco. Does the infotainment system have Android Auto?

    A pity that we don't have connect safety function yet in Europe. Only in Norway and Sweden I believe.

    What are the main differences between the 2018 and 2019 version? I only see the connected safety. Rest seems similar.

    Last year there were many reports of this system being very slow, and prone to failure. Some users reported that the whole system would often lock up, and need to be rebooted.
    Has Volvo fixed the problems from the earlier versions of the system, or is it essentially the same as in the 2018 Volvo XC60?

    • @KeNost82
      @KeNost82 Před 6 lety

      Jim Good Volvo have to my knowledge fixed this issue and made the Sensus faster.

    Hi, good review! Spotify is not lossles though. It is compressed at 320kbps. Lossless would be a format like e.g. Flac. Sensus plays Flac via USB in SPA models :-)

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  Před 5 lety

      Sheik Yerbouti that’s correct! But I was talking about lossless transfer from source and to device. When you stream over BT you loose alot of the quality from a 128kbps or 320kbps source. But when you the app in Sensue you don’t 😊

  • @Mirror1973

    I dont know how to feel about this system, it is pleasant to the eye but looks cumbersome and convoluted

  • @3204clivesinclair
    @3204clivesinclair Před 5 lety

    If your trying to control Spotify in Android Auto, you need the cable connected to the phone.

  • @oguzhanyabici1721
    @oguzhanyabici1721 Před 3 lety

    You need to let the system know that you want to play Spotify from your phone by choosing the ^Bluetooth^ option, instead of logging into Spotify from the car itself.

    has anyone figured out how to make the individual drive mode to be the default mode every time you start your Volvo?

    • @ilhanschen
      @ilhanschen Před 7 měsíci

      The default driver mode is "standard" and no option for user to select any other modes as default unfortunately. I too have wondered that and asked the same to a salesperson (Sweden).

    private locking is for locking the glove compartment like a security box at the hotel. There is no place to lock it with a physical key so this is the way to do it.

    • @jvandepitte
      @jvandepitte Před 5 lety +2

      Actually, private locking allows to prevent the tailgate to be unlocked, e.g. when you leave your car for service or similar situations...

  • @mammawarrior

    Are you sure its lossless quality ?
    Spotify only offers 320kbs quality to premium subscribtions, unless they have some special deal with spotify.
    Awesome if it actually is lossess.

    • @KrisRifa
      @KrisRifa  Před 6 lety +1

      namehereitis ah yes, I mean there is no loss in quality from the audio source to the sound system like you get with bluetooth streaming. Which makes a huge difference!

    • @mammawarrior
      @mammawarrior Před 6 lety

      Kris Rifa totally agree with you. I was just hoping for true lossless from Spotify, as you can get from Tidal. Thank you for the clarification !

  • @ronyap65

    After watching the video, my POV is Volvo’s Sensus is complicated and needs a lot more refinement. It’s trying to do too much, making it confusing to use.
