    After the King's Row Uprising, Matthias Arnold Gauss, now utilizes his research on magnetics to plot revenge against all Omnics, with the aid of Volskaya Industries.
    M.A.G is a tank that focuses on his various magnetic effects and reactions to dominate the battlefield. His passive Magnetic Boots, is also the first of its kind, allowing M.A.G to essentially walk up walls and on ceilings upside down.

    Love this idea. The character sounds like he'd be a lot of fun to run and actually seem balanced. Like you said at the end, with some tweaking there's so many uses for him. I also like how you made it so, he wasn't OP and could be countered. Looking forward to seeing more ideas like this and maybe OW could take some notes from you.

      I had a concept idea I did a month ago, removed the video now, that somewhat got trashed! I think I gave it like 2 movement abilities and a blinding ability...wayy to OP. 😅 So I'm learning from my mistakes and to balance the heroes better for in game play and reducing how strong they are!! 🤣🤣
      My only concern with M.A.G was the lack of shields and blocking abilities, as most tanks have them... But I guess the added movement effect of Magnet Pull, his Magnetic Boots and the Negative Wave sort of made up for closing the distance.

    Yo! This concept of magnetic is really sick! I’ve been homebrewing custom ow heroes for about as long as I played the game and it’s so cool to finally see someone post them again. I was a little curious about his passive though, that can sound pretty jarring to use, especially on corners and intersections between surfaces. What if it acted almost like a double jump, where tapping jump twice will let him do a big lunge, and let him walk on whatever surface he lands on like it was the floor, for a duration. This would also give him some pretty slick and unique mobility and rollout potential.
    I had another idea while watching this but this would change the hero concept all together so think of this as like a fan-made concept of a fan made concept, but what if E was an ability that caused all the enemies with charges to interact with each other, let me explain. So say you hit someone with a positive charge and someone else with a negative charge and they are within a few meters of each other. Popping this ability will cause the two enemies to get pulled towards each other acting almost like old Orisa halt. Conversely, if they had the same charge, they would get flung away from each other. I would also change his secondary fire to be something more long-range and accurate. So that he can be a little more selective and strategic on who he is applying what charges to. So like a common play pattern would be using his positive wave on a bunch of people right in front of him, then popping that ability and everyone he hit just gets thrown about. Super disruptive. Also gives him another option of hitting a tank with his close range positive charge, then sniping a back line support, and pooing it to both push the tank away and pulling the support in. That would make a lot of space, and has some play making potential of pulling someone off the high ground.
    I’d imagine my variant would have a pokey-dive hybrid playstyle, making use of his double jump and wall walking to get advantageous positioning to poke from then jumping on anybody who is low. I would love to see if giving him a barrier would be a cool concept, due to his unique movement a lot of his team may not be able to follow him. So maybe something he can drop down and leave would be cool, probably something he can even place on walls and use for himself. I’m thinking he places it down, directly in front of him, it has a set health pool and a duration timer shorter than its cooldown so that there is a window of opportunity for opponents to take advantage of.
    I can’t really think of an ult for mine, all of this is kinda on the spot, I kinda got super excited watching this video and ended up brewing my own version lol. Looking forward to upcoming brews and new concepts though!!

      Hey thank you so much! 😄 Hmm yeah corners with the Magnetic boots could be a little worrisome now that you mention it, perhaps only limiting it to walled surfaces and where the corners are too big or sharp they deactivate and he falls. Though being a big mech I imagine making his steps animate in a way that it could work would be possible, or even while space is held just maintain the hold to where instead he just gets suctioned back to it until he releases the ability.
      Your idea with the basic attacks and applying the charge effects I think i mentioned in the video already 😆 but opted not to add it as he would have been wayy to OP with further repel and pull capabilities, but definitely a great idea and would be hella fun!!!
      That was another thing i was wanting to add during drafting...as being a tank he doesn't really have any blocks or shields 😔

      @@epicevanhogan6489 mostly yeah! Though I do crop things in and out if needed. With one of my previous ones I did called Abyss. Her hips actually have widows eyewear. So I really can’t say it’s all mine… it’s an abomination of many things! Im good at editing and photoshop… just please don’t zoom in on my shady edges! Hahah 😭😂

    This an incredible concept with the abilities but I love the lore more given that he is a victim of Null Sector which I feel like we should see more of that

    Main problem i see with him is his main attack and magnetic boot utility. Not his cc. Its gonna be very easy to lose his LOS as his movement ability either puts him in deep and then has no other movement or shield to turn to. OR you try to use the pull and hit small walls or clip stuff. Which again is common when even playing lucio. The magnet boots with have negitive effects being a big target while on a wall with no cover most of the time means free damage. Hence why lucios wall ride makes him quicker. I feel like you could of done somethi g to do woth electromagnets here creating static buffs up like a secondary shot that chains to nearby enemys

      In the drafting stages I did initially, on top of his Negative Wave buff that’s similar to orisa, basically every time he caused a charge reaction he gained a small shield bubble. Perhaps I should have kept this! But was worried in overloading his kit and making him too strong… so went for the more team work approach to make him good. 😂 Or like you said increase his movement speed when using his Magnetic Boots passive. He’d definitely need some tweaking before in game that’s for sure!!

      HAHAHA! Oddly enough one of my friends mentioned this. I don't really see the resemblance except for maybe the big orb in the middle? Luckily I didn't put MAG's face in that ...otherwise it would have been really similar haha! 😆

      Hey thank you so much! That's fair! I felt unstoppable wasn't too bad seeing as MAG doesnt really have a shield to protect him, apart from the buff from Negative Wave, so him charging around the field with Magnet Pull was me trying to even him out a bit haha!

    It is an interesting idea, but I just feel like it is a bunch of original hero passives, reloads, and weapon fire like Mauga and the Overheat like Orisa. Also, is that conductor Reinhardt on top of a mech?

      Oh no not comparing MAG to Mauga!! 😭 Conductor Reinhardt? I had to google that… I don’t see the resemblance tbh. It’s more of a morph on the push map robot!! 🙈

      Ahh I do not! MAG came from mag boots (magnetic boots) and decided to make his name an abbreviation for his real name! 😂 Also Gauss is a unit of measurement in magnetic terms so worked well! 🎉

    so basically just push people and cc them, sounds annoying, its cool but we dont need more cc in game, also having the "ultimate be random" makes it unpredictable and doesnt really allow for skill expression, there is little random things in overwatch

      Hey thanks for the feedback!! 😄 Push, Pull and CC, basically... ahah. Yeahhh initially with the ultimate I was going to make it a more selective thing if they didnt have any charges, so first enemy would be positive, next negative and so on in repeat.
      Though, I began to favor the more chaotic unpredictability of what the ability could do in this situation.
      Which would prompt players to charge people with their basic attacks before using the ult, otherwise the random effect.

      I think immortality and invulnerability abilities are a much bigger issue than CC. You need CC to control space and keep certain things in check. They've significantly reduced the amount of and impact of CC in OW2 compared to OW1, so I don't see why a concept like this couldn't make it into the game, especially with how unique and creative it is
