    An Italian Mafia Boss nicknamed La Madrina, ‘The Godmother’. Who has a talent for guns and information.
    The first Italian hero in Overwatch 2, Roulette is a gun slinging damage role with a kit focusing around her powerful Godmother's Pistol. She commands the trade and information that flows through the black market and underworld of the Overwatch universe, allowing her to always be one step ahead of her enemies. On top of this, Roulette has a weapons vault filled with all manner of dangerous items that she wont hesitate to use against her enemies.

    It's a good design. A lot of people in the comments want the Ultimate itself to be random but I can tell you now in a competitive game like Overwatch, random elements would be rejected HARD. Keep up the good work.

    I think the main problem with her is just that she overlaps a lot to cassidy in playstyle and function. To separate her a bit more, I would give her an ability that works similarly to hack, but instead let's her next attack always be a critical hit; this would take the name "Enemies weakness" and the name of the dash would be replaced with something like "Shadow walk" or "Off the radar". I would also make the boosted damage of gamble only double and give an indication of which random bullet the boosted damage is on. Other than that, the ult should charge relatively quickly to make the many weapons a more active part of her kit and make you able to move using the rocketlauncher, only a bit slower. I like the lore and balancing quite a bit, and I think it's interesting that we could have another hero that doesn't use any science-fictiony stuff in her main kit outside of Ash.

      Hey! Thanks for the feedback!😄😄 I get that! I honestly wouldn't mind more variety when it comes to similar hero playstyles. So having another hero similar to Cassidy, in my opinion at least, isn't necessarily a bad thing as it gives players more options. With Gamble, her passive and her ultimate, she is a tad different in the long run to Cassidy, not to mention 'Enemies Weakness' in animation I pictured it more similar to Moira's Fade (minus invis) and Mauga's dash (minus jump and slam) as she's dashing not combat rolling for 2 seconds with a basic attack immune, and her weapon reloads faster, though deals less damage than Cassidy's. Yeahhh I was a bit unsure on Gamble's x3 damage multiplier, though figured since its a 1/6 chance and she gets a free reload out of it, it was semi balanced and more based on skill and targeting? I wanted to highlight the bullet somehow, perhaps with a red aura shot when she fires it, like its on fire to indicate when she has it or her gun blazes when its in the barrel. 😁

      So does ashe, that's kinda how most hitscan will feel, it's why projectile is superior as it allows for more variety, and the only other place were probably gonna see unique hitscans is support because you can shift alot of their power to supportive stuff to seem unique while keeping their kill potential weaker than mcree and ashe, and it's still op because bap is lowkey better than both of them at dps 😂

      @@SandlerShephord I would compare Ashe a lot more to Widowmaker rather than Cassidy. Even then I sort of disagree; while being projectile can make some heroes more inharently interesting like Junkrat or Hanzo, it doesn't mean that the hero can't be a boring desing, such as Sojourn. Even so, abilities and other things usually make a lot more of a difference in how a hero plays. It wouldn't be that impactfull if Doomfist's finger shotguns (?) or Genji's shurikens were hitscan instead of projectile, because the hero is a lot more unique than that. Even then, hitscan heroes are pretty varied by itself; Cassidy plays differently from Widow, and she plays differently from Soldier 76, and so does Reaper, and Bastion, and Junkerqueen, and Sombra and so on. My problem was that it was an accurate six-shots revolver just like Cassidy's, just with one to three minor differences. Cassidy already relies a lot more on his primary than other heroes, so making a hero that similar without any major difference in playstyle outside of her ult makes it way too similar for my liking.

    I honestly love these, i used to make so many fan concepts of heros in both paladins and overwatch and your vids made me find my old ideas 😂 heres one of my favs i made, maybe you can use some ideas from it.
    Support
    -Hp:200
    -Primary fire: dance around as you hold the primary fire, creating an aura around you that heals your teammates and dmgs your enemies, while dancing you gain 10% dr and movement speed and your hitbox changes in random ways, making it hard to hit, if fired in the air you gain a levitating effect
    -Secondary fire: bless your teammate with a burst of heals that turns into a small amount of heals per second, the longer you heal the more healing you do
    -Ability 1: summon a random spirit animal from the selection of a wolf, hawk and snake, wolf deals dot dmg and moves fast on the ground, hawk can attack enemies on high ground, snake binds and slows the enemy while dealing dmg in ticks
    -Ability 2: summon a spirit butterfly that slowly moves in the direction you fired it until it hits a wall, healing any teammates in its vicinity, the longer you hold the ability, the further it will wonder before stopping, if held until it auto fires, it will stay in front of you.
    The summoning thing is similar to that other one you did but i really liked the idea of a primary that doubles as a strafe if you use it right and the ult could definitely use some updating but i like the concept that you can hold an ability for the distance itll go or keep it with yourself as it gives alot of decision making. But i literally have hundred of these lol i was and prob still am abit to obsessed with overwatch but its the best fps on the market 😂

    I am in love with the ultimate
    One thing with the lore that I might change is that she was part of Talon’s council and brought on when Doomfist was imprisoned and Talon was more interested in making money
    She provided Talon with weapons in return for favors which she used to rebuild her mafia

      Oh wow that's actually brilliant!! Well done! 😁😁Considering Maximilien is very profit and money hungry in that sense, likewise with the other members, they would probably take a shine to her and what she brings to the table. All while she was hiding Chernobog under their noses. Could also play into a bit of an anti hero redemption for her, in helping overwatch down the track in dealing with Talon.

    i like this concept, but the idea of having your damage increased by pure chance just seems like when i used to get random crits in tf2, it just doesn't seem fair, how can the enemy expect it if you don't even know yourself?
    the ultimate seems pretty unique but because of the amount of weapons, it's not going to be really consistent, i've had this small concept for an ultimate in my head for a while but wasn't sure where to apply it to, but i think it could be cool here.
    when ulting, she could start dual wielding pistols, giving her two crosshairs (one on each side) and for the duration of the ult, if the crosshair is close enough to an enemy then it will lock onto them and allow you to shoot. this ult is sort of inspired by the game call of juarez: bound in blood lol, but i thought it would be a cool idea

      Hey! Thank you so much! 😁😁With 'Gamble' I was contemplating adding a sort of fiery aura effect for the gun when the bullet is in the barrel to fire and also when it fires the shot is flaming, perhaps adding it would have been a better call for this particular ability. I was just really caught up with the Russian Roulette and gun barrel having 6 shots theme. 😅😆 I'm wayyy to literal! I reckon the ultimate would be supper fun!!! And would really shake up the current meta. Oh wow that sounds really neat!!! 😄A duel wielding hero other than Reaper would be AWESOME!! Luckily Roulette is a concept and tweaks are always gonna be needed before she could work in game.

    Love the core concept of this one! One particular thing I appreciate is that you eliminated the potential for the ultimate to be left up to chance with a feature the player can control. Really good. Something to criticise though, the ultimate shouldn’t have so many as six different choices. I understand that its six to be in line with the revolver’s six rounds concept, but it forces all players to memorise features of 7 total weapons. Too much. My thoughts would be to have only 3, where each version applies a different secondary effect to your primary weapon (e.g. damage buff, weaken healing received on top of dps passive, and one other. I can’t think of one right now). Kits should stay more streamlined in order to stop them from being able to do everything. Other than that, I’m liking this one!

      Thank youuuu!!! Hahaha you should know me by now! I'm very literal and stick to my themes. 😆😆😆 Honestly I get what you're saying. But it just means that she falls into a more difficult hero play category that takes a bit more learning and skill, than say a point and shoot character that's relatively easy to use for any player and can get very boring when you've played them enough. Most players once they've played her enough I'd say memorizing shouldn't be too difficult to what each number would signify, or at least, it would add a more 'roulette' and random aspect to the ability, which is also what I was going for. And having so much kit, you'd never get bored of her as she has so many different situations she can be used in...but that's just me personally! Next up I'm fairly sure will be Chernobog!! 😁😁😁

    I think that The ult should give one of the 6 weapons at random to go with the roulette theme and stop players only using 1 type of weapon the whole time and waiting for long periods of time saving their ult to actually get the kills to chose the weapon they want. It would mean that she would avg more ultra per game.

      Hey! Thanks for the feedback! 😁😁I did initially do that in planning, but thought that would be a little too crazy if it were constantly random and players couldn't work toward a goal (weapon). Especially in competitive play. Not to mention even if players modulate their numbers, if they accidently get that assist kill before activating it, it will still tick over, so there is still a random roulette element to it as well as her 'Gamble' ability. Had to think of both sides here for players that can get kills and ones that can't, so went with a middle option...sort of 😆

    Good concept, lore needs some polishing. I like that she is built on the same idea as echo which is being very elastic. Her ultimate is bad but as an ability it would be good, so she should have a roulette spin ability on E with 5 difrent weapons and on 10s cooldown, every weapon has 20% chance to drop. She spawns with one of them and does not have a pistol cuz she cannot be a second cassidy. Her secondary fire will always be 5 throwable exploding playing cards. On impact each card deals 80 DMG. Her movement ability on shift should make her just invisible for 3 seconds and give 50% speed boost in which she can reload and spin but unable to shoot. Her ultimate should be called domino effect: if an enemy is killed during ultimates duration by roulette or her allies in her range (big radious) the closest enemy to one who died will receive 70% damage received boost (discord orb on steroids). This cycle continues until the ultimate ends (15 seconds).

    Her gun is just Cass gun
    She basically has six different ultimates which I don't know if that's good for the game

      Cass gun but a pistol not a revolver. Faster and less damage, though was mainly optimizing it for use with her Gamble ability and passive. 😁 I reckon the ult could work due to the nature of the passive being able to modulate it and it not being completely random for comp play. As each weapon has a benefit and drawback, as some don't do damage and some don't let her move. Which I think would balance the whole 6 ult's thought technically only one use at a time.

    Honestly very cool concept, good lore and fun design, the only flaw is this dash ability of her that ressembles too much cassidy, gotta find something more "lore accurate". Very good work tho and keep pushing man😊

      Thankkk youuuu!!!! for the compliments and feedback!!! 😁😁 I definitely was racking my brain for a cool ability for her movement as she needed one. In my head I was visually picturing her dash more like Moira's Fade (minus invis) and Mauga's charge (minus slam and jump) as Cassidy has more of an instant barrel roll imo? Enemies Weakness also lasts for 2 secs and gives her immunity to enemy basic attacks, so a little different. But definitely could have put that ability back to the drawing board! I just did a wi-fi inspired Omnic hero, so I didn't want to give her any pinging or revealing abilities for this one.😆😆

      Hey thanks for the feedback!! 😄😄 Initially before I gave her the 'Enemies Weakness' it was more of a revealing ability that pinged enemies, but I just couldn't make it work with her kit and really needed her to have a proper movement ability. Not to mention the last hero I did was 'Macaria' that focused around revealing enemies and essentially WIFI. So couldn't copy her 😅😅😆

      @@jezjhart Ah i see! This was the first video i saw, so i wasn't aware of Macaria. (although i did wonder who they were in the video) I don't know well this would work with her, but maybe she has something similar to a reaper wraith form. Instead she goes fully invisible for a bit, gets really fast and can choose a point to reappear. Call it stolen tech or something and make it like a wrist watch to fit with her theme. That way she could scout a little in the front lines and have a reposition tool.

    Her Abilities look just like cassidys roll and the pistol seems pretty boring. The ultimate sounds really interesting though

      Hey thanks for the feedback!!! 😁😁 The pistol, apart from being slightly quicker and dealing less damage, is very similar to Cassidy's weapon as it was inspired by him and I didn't want to make her too OP. Though it is a pistol and not a revolver, so different noise of fire also. Since I can't physically test these in game I usually use current in game abilities and mechanics to gauge all my concept heroes skills. I'd say her movement ability is more akin to a mix between Moira's (minus invis) and Mauga's (minus the smash and jump) visually. Oh yesss!!! The ultimate is WICKED!! It would be such a cool ability in game in tandem with her passive!! 😁😁

I did initially have her in a red dress and more feminine, but since I was going with a mafia boss/black market merchant vibe, she had to be more business with a bit of fur. Hopefully the next video is more to your liking!! 😁😁
