I'd love to hear one of those security guards explain clearly why videoing publicly available information is a problem.
It's a privacy issue. Some staff members don't want to be filmed. They're doing their job and don't need a camera in their face. They have a right to privacy too in the workplace
_"You can get those screens, that go over, and, like, polarise the light coming out of the screens, and then from an angle you can't see anything"_ This is - in scientific terms - nonsense đthe light from a monitor is already highly polarised, adding another polariser would simply act as a neutral density filter, where rotating the polariser would dim or brighten the screen (when viewed through the polariser), it would have zero effect on the viewing angle, so would be useless as a privacy device.

Never answer questions from a man or woman who acts as public servants. You a man ask a question and that man or woman answer thatâs their duty, So be polite and calm and remember their there to serve the people when on duty.
Not only is it legally permitted it is It is NECESSARY for members of the public to police government institutions because all too often even if people within the system of insufficient rank report the issue nothing is done and such people are often prevented from publicising transgressions as a result of abuses of things like The Official Secrets Act or other policies that restrict whistle blowing activities. The 'bald' guy in glasses - am I allowed to say 'bald'? Busting for a fight. Laughing
I think the first security guard was a bit of a simpleton, G4S and its obsession with hiring the worst people
I've been accessed of being racist in Newtown job centre
I've got multi cultural children
I've recorded what was said glad I have
I could have been arrested if I hadn't
The staff had lied
They should have been fired
People have a right to record what they say as a safety precaution
I'm son Of Mary hi
They know me
Chalk and cheese mate, chalk and cheese. If government officials treat you with respect, they get it back. Very professional, the young lady who actually listened to you.
Dont have a go out the security. Only doing there job folks
Only doing their jobs... that didn't wash at the Nuremberg trials. We all have free will and free thought, we have the ability to challenge when something isn't right.
Loving the work Dominic. Keep it up!
Impressive over capacity in manpower
Are they expecting an invasion?
SMASHED IT!!!!! I tip my hat too you, good Sir!
we got enough to deal with in these areas without you, DWP is a horrible part of the gov, I agree but you just look for confrontation. Go back to Surrey man.
Not one sia licence on display... Very shady
Managing your JobCentre and the DWP Data within it per the Government Auditing Guidelines - v. 2.0
I'll never understand what the problem is with cameras. Everything in there is for the public to view. So why would they have a problem with somebody with a camera viewing it? I just don't get it. I'd love to hear one of those security guards explain clearly why videoing publicly available information is a problem.
It's a privacy issue. Some staff members don't want to be filmed. They're doing their job and don't need a camera in their face. They have a right to privacy too in the workplace
_"You can get those screens, that go over, and, like, polarise the light coming out of the screens, and then from an angle you can't see anything"_
This is - in scientific terms - nonsense đthe light from a monitor is already highly polarised, adding another polariser would simply act as a neutral density filter, where rotating the polariser would dim or brighten the screen (when viewed through the polariser), it would have zero effect on the viewing angle, so would be useless as a privacy device.
Thumbs up PTTP & to that job centre ... A refreshing video to start the week đ
Looks like PTTP added a little excitement to their day.
That officer in the middle, looked unwell!!
I know I'm going to be bombed out for asking this question. But .....why is it that by and large G4S staff are basically resourced from 2 ethnic backgrounds ?
In this particular video...BIG RESPECT to all the G4S staff and the manager for the way they went about handling your visit. Definitely they should be used by their relevant organisations as role models.
Great video PTTP đ
You just vocalised what we were all thinking. Good on you.
They achieved the minimum required response and standard here. We will see if they're in a good place (moving forward) with post audit follow-up.
Never answer questions from a man or woman who acts as public servants.
You a man ask a question and that man or woman answer thatâs their duty,
So be polite and calm and remember their there to serve the people when on duty.
These joke centres are a complete waste of public money. There are more staff than customers.
The irony is it seems G4S are taking all the jobs.
Do job centers really need so many G4S guards, It must be a nice little earner for G4S
"Innovations in the area of Government are best carried out by people outside of it." Bertrand Russell, (Philosopher).
What is going on with every job centre and loads of G4S staff!! Are they particular flash points for aggressive behaviour?
