  • If you're caught riding any micro-mobility vehicles on the road, you can get fined up to RM1,000 or jailed up to 3 months.

The biggest problems is the government's inability to Fix sidewalks, forcing people to use ebikes on the road

While I agreed to that, the people also need to be blame e.g they don't use proper gear, bukak gerai nasi lemak on the sidewalk lah..letak bangku. Reckless drivers/riders too.

The biggest problem that Malaysia right now compared to other countries is doesn't have dedicated route for cycling, pedestrian and PEVs , OKUs route also have quite amount of trouble nationwide. Irresponsible car owners parked at bicycle path blocking the route , if anything also salah the micromobility device. Judging the car-centric nation that is terrible in traffic, PEVs helped a lot on last miles connectivity , the only rules that you need to obey is WEAR HELMET and SAFETY GEAR. What was being enlarged by the narrative is the scooter renter without safety gear roaming around and get accident without following traffic rules. I have been riding PEVs with safety gear at KL for years and non of the police fine me or question me, like I said , HELMET , SAFETY GEAR, traffic rules are IMPORTANT.

Our biggest problem is our driving culture too. Drivers already upset by the jams.

Possible, just follow the traffic rules , wear safety gear will do. Having license doesn't make you a safe road user , it's all about common sense and education.

the problem is... our government don't build a road specific to vehicle that move under 35-50km per hour .....if they just build that... the problem is lest complicated......and manageable....hayyyaaahh

In Malaysia, you will not see the facilities and infrastructure being build for micromobility. They're so passive to the core! So, to ensure there is facilities and infrastructure for micromobility, just ride your micromobility vehicles, after that, the government will create and invest for infrastructure and facilities for micromobility. That's the fact that we need to live with in Malaysia. Otherwise, we all live in a jungle with this parliament of monkeys in the government.

convenient but 99.99% people abuse it by demanding the right of way that all who walks must be always give way to them and notice them coming at fast speed 15kmh above.
