All these taxes, I'm getting in the E Game. Cars are a rip off, with taxes , insurance, gas, maintenance.. I like this as an option.. I'm not carrying a van full of kids, and my groceries can fit in a backpack, And I live in town,... I like it 👍
Right?!
This is also why some places have started imposing a yearly tax on electric vehicles unfortunately.. but still, even with that tax, it still comes out to be cheaper and allowing for more freedom..
Based
@spaceSecs how would they know if you owned an electric scooter? And if the cops saw you how would they know you didn’t pay your taxes?

Thanks for the videos man. Love your work.
Thank you so much!
Love this V, riding this speed monster in the summer will bring "eye wind tears" !!
your are 100% right.
Awesome through review! :DDD specially the pointers to the company to improve their product!!! :) These once, little scooters have evolved so fast!!!! & They are just as fast! :)
They have a 13inch model that can be even better.
🤜🤛 This will work for me, thanks!
I'm glad also works perfectly for me.
Great video. Very useful and informative. Thanks. 😊
Hi big brother.... it's me your security at the storage... I really like the EV your showing us today ☺️. Hopefully you will be able to help me get one EV for work.
Anyway you take care and be safe out there riding around big brother. Peace ✌️

Those little wheels are fantastic. I have the Obarter X1. First thing I noticed when I got it was how the battery is on the ground when folded
You mean the frame with the wheels
Wow, what a great scooter and excellent review! Very surprised to see such high end parts at such low cost. For me that swappable battery, even though it only 48 volts, but still 35 amp hour is excellent! The suspension is outstanding! Large display which usually only comes with higher priced models. Not having to remove motors to change tires is super excellent. Steering damper too! Just amazing! Great job!
Fair enough!
High end parts??? hahaha what a silly comment from a total ignorant!
@@ElectricVehicleSpaceHi bro, Good afternoon. I really liked your video, its Amazing . I ordered from one D5 from the website you provided in the CZcams link. But I'm not sure if it's the legitimate original website of Obarter. Can you please let me know if you also ordered from their website and received your D5?
Lol. I would say that you are getting ripped off if you by this scooter. This isn't good value for the price. 1800$ for small battery that is only producing 48V is the worst I have ever heard. Thats only 1680Wh 😂 and you aren't getting that much torque out of the motors.
@@meatball1233 Its only laughable if you know of a better alternative, for the price.
I love that besides receiving and reviewing products from different manufacturers, that you also buy some more, for the purpose of keeping his channel super entertaining with the big variety of EVs you showcase in this channel! Thank you! 💪
I always try to share a good deal and a great performance scooter all around. Ty

Thanks for the recommendation..
nice a very good review. I am going to buy one just because of this review
Glad I could help
Excellent looking scooter. Amazing price. great review
¡Gracias!
I live in Queens I just received mine 😂 and I was surprised by the size, it's huge and heavy, I don't know if I should keep it, I'm worried about the battery and the people in the building looking at me with faces that are going to explode😅 I'm indecisive and I'm watching you again to see the good thing about keeping her 0:00
You should ride it and keep it. It is great option for performance and price.
Good scooter with reasonable price...I may get one!
This looks pretty legit, especially for the price. Makes me think how overpriced other scooters are lol Maybe my next purchase. Thank you for sharing sir 🙏
Yes indeed. I'm glad you find it useful 😊
@@ElectricVehicleSpace How much was the shipping?
@@iowastate358 when I ordered free.
This scooter is cheap junk. An untidy mess bolted together, just look at how flimsy the controllers are. They flex when he uses them. I would like to see this scooter do 5000 Kim’s before needing a tire change like a a xiaomi.
You and I are the same height and weight. Some great leverage when you punch eh brother, thats why Tommy The Hit Man Hearns was such a knockout artist, he was tall and used his leverage to great advantage, he knocked them out standing 6 inches away, or from a distance, KO with uppercuts you name it, he was great. I am buying a D5 soon, it was a toss up between the X5 or the D5. I have an x3 which has been cool as a first scooter, my first scooter at 65 years of age. Ha ha ha, a kid at heart still.
Man, you nailed it. All the downsides you pointed out about the scooter make complete sense, and I totally agree. The issues you mentioned are exactly what I hate about this scooter. It makes me wonder if the manufacturers purposely make them imperfect or if they just see things differently than we do.
😎👍... Another Awesome Video For the price first thing I would do is Change front and back suspension to 2500lbs change the grip and also fill up that deck I have to have stuff rattling while I'm Riding
Cool idea
Ya and then change the price higher
GREAT VIDEO..!!
Got mine yesterday, it is a sexy machine, only able to ride it about a half mile, weather not cooperating but I can tell you, this machine has power... Thanks for coupon, now I need to order a steering damper...
If you are in NYC hit me up. I have the scooter and the dampener for sale.

Really good deal, and I like the way the wheels separate from the motors. Very inventive. Thank you for bringing another quality video.
Please share and like. Also helps if you guys share the other videos.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Will do.
Love to get few to Canadayo to test. So cool
You should!
Looks nice & appears to be a good bargain. At first glance, I wonder why they didn’t include a front splash guard 🤷🏻
there is a fender inside the fork that is slick.
Your steering damper is positioned differently to that shown in the obarter video. Do you think this a better place for it? Thanks
Nice video Bro.
Thanks
Great and very accurate review! I purchased one (D5) recently and cannot figure out how to "unlock" the additional 10 mph... was topping-out at 34, then added the stock dampener and hit 37. I can't find anywhere that explains how to do this. Any help is appreciated!
Amazing video 📹
Thank you
I was seriously considering buying this until i read the comments regarding that it only has a 40km range. Ah well the search continues 😬 the company says between 60km to 120 km range complete lie.
Yes. They lied about a few things on this scooter which caused me to return it once I got mine. First of all, It does not go 50 mph. It barely hits 45mph. So it’s a pretty slow scooter for its class. That’s one thing. Another thing is what you mentioned. It has a very short range. Thirdly, it literally does not come with any parts which is why it’s so cheap. All the essential parts you need to safely get the scooter on the road they make you pay for. The damper, tires, breaks, etc. I shipped mine back and got the Yume Y11+ which literally comes with everything a scooter is suppose to at the same exact price as the Obarter D5 ($1400 shipped!!). Plus the yume actually goes 50mph as advertised.
@@peaceful4you408 ummm.. that's actually pretty fast for this being only 48volt battery and 5000watt motors. I'm sure you can get the range listed with a bigger battery. Yes the numbers are inflated but not as much as you would think because they sell the same model with different size battery depending on who's selling at whatever price. I will say, that's definitely expensive for what it is. There are far less expensive options that easily out perform this
Love the video, thanks for uploading. I'm wondering where do you think the best place to run a folding bike lock through on this scooter? The kind of locks that are solid metal, not a cable that can be cut.
Good question! I would not lock this outside in NYC. It will get stolen really fast.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Any tips for NYC Dashers? Should I just not lock it and leave it next to the curb w/ cars & take the key with me?
@@NiamDennegar ha ha, no.
Could you confirm the D5 IP protection grade because I'm interested into removable battery e-scooter to ride even under the rain. I have seen at 7:45 when you talk about possible improvements for the rain but I need to extact battery every time I need to recharge it. Thank you.
Man this thing looks really good but IDK how much I'd use a scooter like this unless I was commuting or something but it's too small to use as a grocery getter.... I'd like to try and make a small trailer for it so I could at least put some stuff in it and a backpack, that would be very useful. 😁
I used my m365 pro almost exclusively as a grocery machine. 4000 kilometers and counting. I cant imagine how this thing would be too small.
I've used different $400- $2000+ escooters and manage to carry plenty of groceries in my backpack and more in bags looped around the handlebars.
I make trailers for electric scooters.
@@AmpedRidersBE but do you sell them?
@@n3wm3x yes
I have Arwibon Q30 it’s the single motor version of this scooter. I love it. It’s a bit heavy and clunky

If you are in NYC let's go for a ride.
How do you think this compares to the Tif Galop K8. That seems to be a popular option at about the same price. Thanks.
That's cool you live in fort lee love fort lee

hi there every1, quick question would appreciate all the feedback posible, considering a 1.1k-1.4k budget would u consider this being worth going over the budget and if not what else would u guus recomend? are there any good options(keep in mind that i absolutely do not care about how far i can travel, i want big top speed as 1st priority and as 2nd acceleration woulld be nice
They come with road tires is it good for offroad?
If they add anymore lights you’ll be a complete Christmas tree
X7 looks good and has more leds
😂🤣😂
Is it possible to switch off the changing lights and keep the front and back light only?
does the bigger version scooters battery fit in this one??? looks like that empty space was left on purpose to add abigger more powerful one
I have one but mine didn't come with the steering damper and I can't find where to purchase one. I paid $1695. two months ago direct from FLJ who makes the Obarter and the FLJ models like X14 together. They are all made by FLJ but branded separately.
Link in the description for everything
I haven’t check yet but have you tested the tiff Gallup K8?
Great review, do you have to take the battery out to charge it?
No. You can charge on the scooter only but you can make a diy connection to charge it outside the scooter.
How it does on offroad better buy this one or obarter x5?
Interested to see the flat tire repair procedure
It's shown in this video and it's super easy and fast watch until the end.
What size are the shocks for front and rear? Do recommend a brand for an upgrade. The stock ones are too stiff as I only weigh 150 lbs.
Il faut les changer, je pèse 82kg et c'est trop dure pour moi, ils sont 1000lbs, je pense peut-etre 650lbs serait bien , l'avant aussi est beaucoup trop dure et ne fait pas amortisseur...😎
What’s a steel damper for im getting into scooters and heard the word a few times
I hate how companies always use cheap ergonomic grips even on expensive, powerful models. Odie Rogues are the best👍✌️
This is disturbing and so annoying. I hope they see this video and change.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Dude it's a CHEAP junk for a reason!
Not sure what you’re meaning. I’m planning on purchasing this scooter. Are the grips cheap? Does it take away from the overall quality of the scooter?
I bought the refurbished version of this scooter, and when I got it, it was damaged or was quick to replace the charger which was cracked and the front LED panel was also cracked which was great. They were super helpful. My problem is it seems to be locked at 30 km/h and I can’t get any higher speeds for it on the display and also it won’t fold. I don’t know why, I’ve tried everything I can to get the front mechanism to unlock it full down it moves and I can’t see anything that’s keeping it from folding so my question is how do you unlock it to go above 15 miles an hour or 30 km
did you take off speed limiter? if so how did you do it?
is that a fire proof box for the battery ? looks sick!!
Not sure but we can ask the brand.
Something that big and heavy needs 60+ volts. Nice looking but under power for the motors and weight
How is maintenance and service for parts ,and do parts are going from China or you can dealer in SAD or Europe if not it is worth until it driwe.
Email the brand and I hope they have an answer for you. All these parts are available online in US or you can get them from Alibaba or aliexpress.
How about stability? I own the spider 2 and its always shaky, nd the tires look very weak
Wow that is awesome I’m going to get one how the reliability so far ?
Thats awesome scooter where did u get them?
I have this scooter and it's great, I just would like to know how many degrees PSI of air do the tires inflate to?
It's written on the tire.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace ok thanks bro for you aswer👌👍
can you tell me if the Obarter x7 has the same tire change option as the D5?
Thank you in advance for your response.
they are different
I saw different tire threads from the park to steeet did you change them
No, the same tires, but you can swap off road easily.
I would like to get one,,but is it easy to use? I ever rode one
What a beast of a scooter, you made a wise decision for going with the on road tires ❤
160 pounds pick that up! And try it on stairs? To heavy and lots of lights. OBARTER is made by BS PARTS AND RATTLED LIKE CRAZY! On suspension alone!
How do I fully unlock the scooter, feels pretty bad spending above a thousand bucks and only going 25mph when commuter scooters do that for sub five hundred.
any e-bike/moped suggestions for going to work and back? 35 mile range?
Vitilan i7 pro and aniioki A7 pro are good options but if you can wait than Tyson from heybike.
Seen so many discount electric bike and scooter this week I wondering what going on with those companies are they not selling? Or maybe they are over stock !
Scooters and ebikes will be expanding 10 times more in the upcoming years. Everyone is leaving their cars behind. Mostly in the big cities.
hello, I will buy it, it looks great. I had a question. Have you had any problems so far and if you can answer the quality of the product, I would be very happy.
yes it is working well and the quality is good.
Hello
Electric Vehicles Space, I also bought this scooter, it arrived two days ago, today I tested it on a flat road (battery is fully charged), after 40km the battery is almost dead and can no longer drive at high speed , its speed has dropped to 29 km/h, and it is estimated that it will not be able to drive another 10 km, at most 10 km, that is, add up to 50 km, which is far from the official 60-120 km, and even the lowest 60 km has not been reached, which is Let me down. In addition, I turned on the headlights and the left and right turn signals, but none of them were displayed on the display screen. I don't know if the display screen is broken or it cannot be displayed in the first place.
I only have 61KG
Which website did you buy from pls?
This scooter looks awesome for sure💯👍 but why they are using only 48 voltage battery and not a 52 or even a 60V power to carry such a heavy scooter? After your testing is that 48v battery voltage performing well?
That battery will only last ONE year!
@@billadmond9450 only one !??? A battery cost like 1600$
@@Garage_Distinct_Clips It's a non brand or Chinese battery so it's cheap for a reason.
The mantis pro SE at 1699 similar speed of 41mph and range of 34 miles similar specs just not as beefy as this one
If you remove the weight it will give you more also consider 😉 I was 240 lbs when testing. With my weight mantis will not get to 45mph for sure.
100lb each yea but bare in mind it's at a fulcrum point so leverage is involved....🤷♂️
