  • In this video you will learn the basics of pipe bending/conduit bending. We will be using 1/2" EMT
This is the trade name for electrical metallic conduit.
    you will learn
calculations for a 22 degree offset bend
calculations for a 30 degree offset bend
calculations for a 45 degree offset bend.
calculations for a 90 degree bend
and learn from "THE TACO EATING ELECTRICIAN"
also you will find tips and tricks you may need in the field to make pipe bending easier for your self and others that may help you.
Bending pipe basics explained are designed for you to take into account you surroundings and the plan for your work ahead of you.
Tools we use are a 1/2" green lee bender and a pipe level more commonly called in the trade as a "no dog" so your offsets come out even every time.
your views help us train our vets!

Omg dude I can't thank you enough for making this video. I'm taking an electrical class at my local college and The prof spent an hour lecturing about this and the whole time It felt to me like he was speaking a foreign language and in just 12 min you managed to make things so much clearer.

Thats so awesome to hear. for an accredited course there needs to be so many hours spent so instructors tend to ramble to fill that void. im glad you got something from this video.

Conduit bending has been confusing for me, my journeyman hasn’t given me quite what I need for on-site learning and I’ve only had conduit action twice. After watching this I feel more confident with grabbing a stick and having a go at it!
