That manga is just absolutly full of shoutouts and references. Also love All for One definitely cosplaying as Darth Vader with his life support helmet. Bonus is that he is old enougth to have seen star wars when it was still relevant in that world and indulging becuase after over 200 years it has become obscure. Man would probably lose a lot of face if somone ever pointed that one out, after killing the person in case obviously because it´s totally not a cosplay.
Aizawa is one of the dopest teachers to come out of modern Shonen. Horikoshi must've at least been subconsciously inspired by Kakashi when he created him.
I cannot stress this enough: if you love aizawa and the idea of what happens outside of the hero society intrigues you, you HAVE to read vigilantes. I know the war arc in the main story is without a doubt the best thing mha has to offer right now but vigilantes is a must read if the arc after is a more chill one.

Many of the UA teachers are people who you want on your side no matter what. Midnight, ectoplasm, aizawa, present mic, and cementoss are all people who can single handedly completely turn the tide of any battle, and they all have the experience to teach the future generations well and shape them all into future symbols of peace.

Oh my god, my sister *that* type of BNHA fan and she runs around watching the tiktoks and gachas, but I think her biggest offense to the universe is yelling “SHIGGY IS BABY!” whenever I talk about Tomura. I hate it so much because (in my opinion at least) Shigaraki has grown more as a character than Deku.

4:34 my theory is that when Aizawa uses his quirk, he is creating some kind of anti gravity like force field around his head. That's why his hair and scarf float when he uses it. So if u put a leaf, or anything light weight, above his head while he uses his quirk, it will float above his head.

The trauma adds so much more to his character imo. I don't like the fact that he has it, of course, but it still adds some small amount of depth to his character. I can't help but also be reminded of Steven, and how he's been through a lot as well with little to no therapy.
I think of all the characters Aizawa is the one that deserves a Glory of, instead of just a Beauty Of.

He's a great character, and his Kakashi like personality of protecting his allies at all costs is inspirational. And he takes care of the most innocent character in the entire series, Eri. I am worried about how in the recent fight with Tomura he lost a leg, and an eye...hopefully he can get back on track.
Monoma helped out. But why did kurogiri save him and Mic and what is “I am protector”? He wouldn’t have saved Mic just to hand Aizawa over to the league…

I always thought a good way to extend Aizawa quirk activation was if he trained to blink one eye at a time.
Something I do sometimes just for the weird reasons I do stuff...
Blink one eye while the other stays on the target, and then blink the other eye after the first.
I couldn’t find anything that noted both eyes had to be on a person for his Eraser quirk to work.
Maybe this was overlooked or maybe it was too OP for story reasons.
That would be so funny to see Aizawa alternately blinking like that. I’m dying just thinking about it. The villains would be like, “tf is that guy doing with his eyes?” But I guess no one would notice if he’s wearing his glasses.

I never thought of him alternating the blinking very FAST, that would be funny. Might look funny but if it works, work it.
I thought of it more like close one eye for about 3 to 5 seconds or how ever long he could keep the one focused on the target and then switch when needed.
Ahem now you know. With losing the eye it’s moot. They know it’s gone and anyway He can barely keep it active a,few,seconds and without someone like Monoma it’s useless. He can’t do much with 8 seconds of use.

I love everything about this video accept that I believe Aizawa also takes interest in Bakugou. Although he isnt overly hand to hand involved with his training like Eri, Deku, and Shinso. I think Bakugou reminds him of his independence that he had after his friend died and he worked harder than anyone else to be the best hero and then graduated to become a vigilante instead of joining the hero agency. He has been vocal throughout the whole series how hard he sees Bakugou works. When people openly questioned him about his violent tendencies at the sports festival while interviewing the UA teachers for Bakugous kidnapping. Aizawa was the one to address this question and didnt hesitate to defend Bakugou by saying hes working harder than anyone to become a hero and that the villans have no shot at convincing him into becoming a villan. He also jumped to defend him again at the sports festival calling out all the heros who were booing him when he didnt hold back during his fight with Ururaka because he didnt consider her gender as a reason to fight differently than he would anyone else. Which in my opinion is very respectful. Aizawa is one of the few people that see the hard work and incredible effort behind Bakugou's brilliance just like how Tamaki sees the hard work behind Mirio's incredible quirk. Its an element to Aizawas character as a teacher and a person that I really admire because it shows how observant and empathetic he is towards others despite his cold and strict demeanor. But overall I just wanted to point that out.

I'm not even a fan of anime and stuff like this, but I generally really like my hero academia. It has a great story line, great characters and character development. Mr. Aizawa is my personal favorite character.
Having “soft and wet” stuck in my head then hearing of the hero “purple highness” made me take a small break to just savour the song
You should read the Vigilantes chapter. His Purple Highness's quirk is not stated, but it's implied it might have something to do with weather (e.g. rain) (at least that's my interpretation)

I love how much influence Naruto had for Horikoshi who unknowingly would go on to create the spiritual successor to Naruto. It's ironic since Boruto is the literal child of the franchise but, Midoriya feels more like Naruto than Boruto ever has.

I didn't like him when I first met him in the series because he was being mean. But the more I saw why he does what he does, the more I respected and loved him. His first impression may be a bit crude and distasteful, but he's got a heart of gold and a good sense of duty deep inside.

Erasers affection for cats is also kind of reminiscent of kakashi’s love for his dogs. It’s kind of a stretch, and they are very different characters with things I love differently about each of them, but I thought it was fun to point out

He will though. In Japan, homeroom teachers stay with you throughout your entire time at the school. You don't get a new teacher every year, they stay with you as long as you are at that school. Homeroom teachers are viewed as parents away from home in Japan. Their role is so much more important than what they are in western countries like America.
