And that means he has some bad habits that will take years to break. So, why does anyone believe he can start over Russ?
To be fair, Russ developed some bad habits too, but they were Pavlov’s Dogs responses to events that happened on the field, not due to a low football IQ or inability to read the field. That’s the difference.
And Russ is accomplished, so he deserves the benefit of the doubt, even at age 35, which isn’t young but not old either.

At Denver last year He was 28 for 35 with 335yds and 4 Tds (with only one, but great receiver) ... I understand its just one game but I think it shows what he can be. Add his 2nd to none Qb running ability. I hope & bet he ends up having a terrific/ very solid at worst career ( especially if he stays a Steeler)... Not to mention a QB winning over the Chicago fan base which I don't believe has virtually ever been done is absolutely nothing to shake a stick at by any means.

Fields didn’t have help but the o linemen lost so much money cause he made them look worse, the receivers that could keep playing in the league but are 3rd 4th options on good teams but can still play are now out the league cause fields couldn’t find them open ever. He never even gave his guys a chance with a 50/50 ball he was gun shy, the game was moving too fast for him. His numbers against zone defense was ridiculous he won I think one game in his career against a team that played mostly zone defense throughout the game or some crazy stat like that. Rooney said SB. Mike, Omar & Art are on it. Russ has a great work ethic like Ben. Russ wins games & SB. Jus ain't that yet. So Russ SB now or Jus maybe someday. Russ SB Championship '24 '25 with rings all around. Bank strategy. EVERYBODY is on board. Allen will surprise & Roman is a rising star. NewDayNewWay plazma welding in the SteelHouse.

DJ Moore is garbage? Allen Robison is garbage? Mooney got paid.. Kmet is solid. David Montgomery is solid. Quit making excuses. Many QBs have been solid passers with much less around them

Funny you should mention ruin Caleb. The Bears sent Fields to the Steelers only AFTER Russ signed there, and it was so that Fields would wind up on the bench for a year.

Yes... if Caleb Williams is one the 5-10 worst passers in the nfl and only wins 10 games in 3 years... people will trash him too lol. This isn't some special Justin Fields thing

Why do people always talk about black QBs negatively? Wow! Even when they don't have receivers or a good offensive line it's always the black QBs fault. When it's a white QB, people will say he needs time to throw the ball or they need to get him some receivers or he needs an offensive line. How can you be accurate if the team is trash year after year? Then the black QB has to run for his life but he is expected to stand in the pocket and shine.
