      Head gasket has blown, change it, full oil and coolant drain and refill after and let your car warm up every time your use it after instead of going on it right away after starting it

  • @thedevilinfrankenstein6503

    It’s hard to find “how to’s” about this vehicle close to the 2011 model. I bought a vehicle from a dealership. They labeled it “as is”. This is the first time I bought a car from a dealership and it was shady with them. Any how I like the 2011 Accent (used), and bought it. Anyway, I found grit under the oil cap. When I looked inside, as much as I can, into the valve cover, it was grit burnt and caked along the sides. It looks like someone pour sand through the oil cap.
    Is it possible to just clean cover when removed?

      Mine Had About 153,000 Miles On It At The Time I Think.... It Does Burn Some Oil.... I Haven't Noticed A Lot Of Difference In How Much Oil It Burns, But It Does Appear To Burn A Little Less Oil But Hasn't Stopped....

      My vehicle has 130k and burns quite a bit of oil I will replace the pvc valve this weekend to see if it helps but I heard it could also be the piston rings have you tried replacing those?

      @TacoGuy135 Před 5 lety

      It could just be condensation on the oil cap. If you only do short trips with the car, try taking it out for a longer drive on the highway (with the engine at full operating temperature). If it goes away after that there is nothing to worry about

    even if it is uncorked and evacuate the dirt, it is quickly clogged after, better to change completely after 40 000 Km - 50 000 Km, 8$ is nothing

      Yeah - I've Noticed That Wasn't As Clear As I Would've Liked It To Have Been.... I Did Replace It... I Don't See The Point In Cleaning It Though...
      I'm Doing Another One Here Soon - Hopefully It Will Be Clearer On That....
      Yeah, At $ 8.00 Or So - It's Cheap Enough To Replace It Once A Year Or More....

      While I Agree With You On That - I'm A Little Confused By Your Channel Name Having "Frugal" In It.....
      I THOUGHT I Had Said It's Cheap Enough And Better To Just Replace It In The Video - After All, If I'm Going Through The Trouble Of Removing It - I'm Not Wasting Time Cleaning It - I'm Just Going To Install A New One....
      (So I Went Back And Re-Watched The Video) - But No, I Didn't Actually Say I'm Just Going To Replace It..... I Only Mention The $8.00 - $8.50 Cost For The New One I Put On..... (I Went Back And Looked On Amazon - I Paid $8.98 For It On January 7th 2018....) I Did Show The New One Though..... That Wasn't As Clear As I Would Like It To Have Been....
      Since I Can't Correct & Re-Upload That Video - I Ordered Another PCV Valve (It's Been Over A Year..)... I'm Thinking About Making An Updated (Hopefully Better) Video...
      I Still May Cut One Open In A Video To See The Internals....
      I Started A Frugality, Budgeting Channel A Few Months Ago - I May Clean One Up For That Channel To See If That Would Work For Someone Who Doesn't Have The $8.50 - $9.00 Or So To Buy A New One Every Year Or Two....IDK...
