    Perhaps TC can make a pedal for leather jacket noise and saliva clearing lol. All kidding aside Ive watched 20 reviews on various companies and maybe its just me but based on product alone I would not spend more than 30 dollars on it. Brings md back to the torturous days of midi file samples. Sitting through someones demo that they made through a 500 dollar setup that sounded they were singing along with their stock casio keyboard files playing in the background. I guess were still in the early stages of this tech. I guess its like back in the day pixel games like atari or the first cellphones gotta start somewhere. I was absolutely annoyed watching a video demo done at a huge expo by the manufacturer and they just had an intern doing silly voices and taking in it. Idk maybe I had a stroke earlier today and brain damage is preventing my mind from properly processing reality. Does anyone else smell burning hair? P.S. the reviewer didnt do a bad job you can only do so much. He covered the spectrum and kept it short and sweet. Im gonna go take some asprin.

    @D1scohead Hiya, Yes... VoiceTone C1 has clean, transparent, subtle correction capability with unique control of musical input via the guitar input if desired. When transparency isn’t your bag, cranking the attack and gender controls will turn the C1′s pitch correction into the robotic modern effect heard everywhere (including hard-tune).

    @henrywhsu Hiya, The input is designed specifically for guitar so we cannot guarantee results with other sources. Please bear in mind that there is a difference in impedance between a regular instrument input and a guitar input. You may want to try this at your local TC-Helicon dealer to see if this solution works for you.

    Hmmmmm........very interesting, i have the R1 that i use on a digital recording desk for my vocal recordings and it does exactly what it should, i was thinking of getting the T1 to use in conjunction with the R1 for future recordings as i want the best balanced but natural vocal sound with a good balanced reverb without having to go through endless settings on the recording desk for effects or compression, there is so many it just baffles me when all i am looking for is a natural and balanced recording, i have very few demands when recording my vocals but one of my major dislikes is a recording that sounds way to over produced or not like my natural voice tone so i think these 2 pedals when used in conjunction for recording will do exactly what i want them to do 😀😀

    I have a question about the Compression/De-ess knob - are these two functions coupled (i.e. clockwise increases both compression and de-essing together)? Or is it a case of clockwise increases de-essing and decreases the compresssion, while counterclockwise does the opposite? I have always assumed it was the former, but another reviewer here on CZcams claims it is the latter. I see the way the knob is labelled can be confusing to some - and the manual doesn't clear this up. Thanks.

    @jodaromi11 Hiya John,
    Congratulations on your "shortly to arrive" VoiceTone pedals.
    To hook them up you would want to have Correct XT first in the chain and then output this in mono to the R1 and then out to your mixer / PA. This can be done via 1 XLR cable between the two units - just be sure to have phantom power turned off on the R1.
    Hope this helps!

    @nonails3 Hiya, Any of TC-Helicon's products that contain both pitch correction and guitar triggered harmony would work great - providing you give the important notes in the chord (root, 3rd, 7th). You could either go for a product that has both these elements in it (VoiceLive 2/VoiceLive Touch) or pair up some VoiceTone's - like the Harmony-G XT and the Correct XT.

    @tylerOver07 Hiya, Thanks for the kind words. The main thing to remember with chaining the VoiceTone Pedals is the the T1 should be first in line and the R1 at the end. I would personally suggest:
    T1 - C1 - X1 - D1 - H1 - E1 - R1
    This would be a good general start, however feel free to play around with the configuration as there really are no set rules to setting up effects (however, T1 at the front and R1 at the end is probably quite important).

      Are you sure? I know, how much trouble a vocalist has, when I feed it with a filtered and compressed signal, how it can't detect the frequencies and how it tries to process the crosstalk. I learned my lesson in "how to bring a TC Helicon to sound bad" and in a chain the unit for adding voices is the first one.

    Here's mine.
    I have a mic mechanic hooked up to a vocal harmony. I use pitch correction and fx on mechanic then I use tone and harmony on the second pedal.
    (It works great.)
    I've just ordered a doubler. Where should I insert this in my fx chain please?

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  Před 9 lety +1

      paulie rendle Hi Paulie, it gets tricky with more than one voice-generating pedal. You need to run the Mic Mechanic first for pitch correction (I'd use Tone on it and not the Harmony pedal btw), then you'll probably want to put the Harmony pedal second and the doubler last. The Harmony pedal doesn't work well with more than one input voice, which includes a doubled voice.

    T1 is an awesome gear, but it just provides +24V Phantom Power, right? I didnt understand why its not provides a regular +48V for all condensers mice use, it will be nice for studio recordings. I know its not developed for this purpose but Im a bit disappointed about that.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  Před 9 lety +2

      Vinicius Zanquetta Costa +24 is workable for almost any modern condenser. Some that require external +48 supplies won't work, but definitely give it a shot with your condensers. It'll likely power them.

    Will this compression increase the feedback (chances) from your stage monitor? since it will up the silent parts.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  Před 7 lety +1

      We also have a slight gate when the signal falls off. There is a slight increased chance of feedback since the EQ is also adding some highs. Typically, we find that good feedback management can give you almost exactly the same output level as a flat mic, but there's always a compromise when you add EQ/Comp, either at a T1 or at the mixer.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  Před 7 lety

      If you get a CreateXT you likely won't need the T1 anymore. CreateXT has adaptive tone built in.

    • @kiskadar69
      @kiskadar69 Před 5 lety

      Although the Create XT has Tone features, they are not as flexible as they are in the T1. The Create XT can definitely be a one stop shop for vocal effects, however, having this added flexibility can be very useful.

    • @tchelicon
      @tchelicon  Před 10 lety +2

      Heya Timo1947, set the mic gain on the first unit so you get green/yellow LED most of the time (no red). Then, turn the mic knobs on any subsequent units all the way down. If you find that they don't light green/yellow as often as the first pedal, turn them up slightly, starting with the one nearest your first unit.

      @robfriedrich2822 Před 5 lety

      One thing that could possibly work: Guitar player 1 plays chords, feed this into something like the "Harmony Singer" or "Voice Tone H1", Guitar player 2 plays melody lines into a DI box, it's out to the microphone in of the "Harmony Singer" or "Voice Tone H1" and the XLR out to a XLR -> Jack cable ->guitar effects.
      With the right setting you can play 2 voice solos.
