I bought the harmony pedal as soon as I watched this video. Very helpful! Thanks
Great Job Brad and Meg !! Thank you indeed !
I am not a singer by any means but this was fascinating. Well done Brad and Meg!
i'd love to hear more of the helicon voicetone kit, you too should make new one with the other pedals, nice video
Spot on! The reverb is easier to achieve on the mixer, the blue and green pedals do add something, great demo I like the post-edits!!! Thanks for sharing
She has a great voice !
nice demo you two:-) looking forward to the mic mechanic and harmony singer
Thank you for demoing these! Can you please share your through on using these individual pedals VS using an all-in-one processor like the VoiceLive?
Fantastic video, this was really helpful. I've seen these pedals around for a while and I've always been curious, and other tutorials don't really show their practical use very well.. my girlfriend and I perform professionally for functions and I think these would absolutely add to the performance and set us apart from other acts. Thanks heaps guys! Much love from Australia
Thanks legends!
Haha no way! Hey Meg, just watching TC demos on CZcams and you popped up! Hope you guys are well
Such nice pedals!
I wish they have decay and mix function separately
hahaha the evil laugh was awesome
Nice!
I think I prefer the harmony one instead of the others. 🎤😁🤘
@6:50 When your tone-deaf friend tries to harmonize with you...
LOVED THE VIDEO I THOUGHT IT WAS A PERFECT BLEND OF TECH AND FUN
I like vocalizing.
I would prefer the 9 V "Best of Voicetone" stomp boxes, as Duplicator, Mike Mechanic and Harmony Singer.
Some of those pedals came out since 2004 does Tc helicon update the algorithms since then? Mainly interested in the hard tune and reverb
Can you tell me why I would choose these individual pedals over the _Perform V?_
The price on the Perform V is ridiculous compared to buying individual stomp boxes, and doesn't it do everything these pedals do?
The harmony one sounds a bit synthetic to me. I like the reverb though.
Yes you right
Where would these pedals go in my pedal chain...does anyone know.
this reminds me of you can't do that on television!
Might you know if you can use the H1 with different reference pitches? Like A=432hz?
Pity the hamoniser doesn’t have a midi input for a keyboard user for instant chord change. Is there one with a midi input?
what about the T1 ?
Hello, do these boxes have phantom power for condenser Microphone? also, what's the different between the D1 and the TC Duplicator? I appreciate your help!
No phantom power.
6:05 Grandma sings along...
Would be nice to hear dude voice too.
Hi, as I'm only interested in a good vocal preamp for a better vocal presence ... I wouldn't be interested in the mad distortion effects... Just a good live vocal... My question is... I use the xr18 console from Behringer... Do I pass the TC Effects unit through my console? Also which TC FX unit is best for vocal? Thank you and great video
How about doing harmonises please?
On the D1, Is the footswitch for the effect a switch or momentary or both? What I need is to press and hold the switch for the effect to be on and then release the switch for the effect to be off. I definitely don't want to have to switch effect on with one foot press and then have to do a 2nd foot press to turn it off.
I think D1 will not be good for you.
Should never have to go more than 1/4 on the dry side. Anything after that sounds robotic. I own the green one and it sounds great at 1/4 dry and less
How do I connect one to my computer I have the D1
Purchase an audio interface like the Motu2 or Scarlett, and you can sync the hardware with software using a DAW (think Ableton, Fruityloops, etc)
I thought it was bjork for a second Nolie 😂
Useful but could be better i feel. I wasnt sold, but the technology will improve
Can I use this to record vocals on a track ?
Yes.
At least Meg knows how to use a microphone.
The reverb doesn’t feel connected to your singing because dude just killed the dry signal.
Really turned her into a bloke.
I just said the same thing then came down to the comments section and saw this comment saying what I said word for word lol
little clip using TC Helicon H1 & MicMechanic... lots of fun to play with!! czcams.com/video/X949m7dNiW8/video.html
5:52 Barbie girl is singing along
She sounds like the wildling chick from GOT
Why doesn't Meg consider doing a Fergie Look-A-Like
Having some material ready for this demo would have made it so much better. If she sang 6-8 bars of pre-selected material per setting it would have been awesome for the demo. Also, changing the effects while she sings throws her natural pitch way off; for that brief time, she is completely flat.
ancara messi
Just get Roland vt4
No need to buy the doubling pedal when the Autotune C1 already doubles your voice for you. It literally just plays a pitch corrected voice on top of your clean voice which sounds like two vocalists instead of one.
How to make the human voice sound like a computer voice - the great musical crime of the early 21st century. Robot harmony particularly obnoxious. The reverb and delay used subtly sounded ok. I think I prefer the TC mic mechanic2 for Real sounds. Do these things run on battery?
The devices in this video are not battery operated. The TC-Helion Mic Mechanic 2 can be powered by four AA batteries.
This video was really disappointing. I wish y'all spent more time learning how each pedal is supposed to be used before trying to demo them. Like at 8:45 neither of you knew what the "dry/wet" knob does? 🤯
That was the moment that I scrolled down to the comments. Full wet: "feels like it's not connected to my voice".. Oh really?
Tc helicon wont answer me if they have updated the algorithms in the autotune pedal. It came out in 2004 and guess it's the same pedal since then. Not right to be Paying 199 dollars on 20 year old gear when you could get antares autotune or wavestune
In my opinion it’s just toy for fun. I tried in band ad it’s just something dirty and harshly. Better buy good preamp like Dbx Go, to your power amp. Without any reverb harmony.. You will just sound so much better than this... The girl sounds beautiful without any bullshit effects. Btw I’m owner of voice live play by 4 years and I don’t like it for rock.
To me sounds too much robotic!
Um, am I insane or do these sound like crap?
If they had people who knew how to use them, it wouldn't.
Sadly, they make great sounding effects, but when you let people like this demo them you kill sales...
@@TrevinoMarie The voices in my head sound better and they're demonic. Just saying.
Would be great if they didn't do that much of derailing side talk but did a focussed analysis.
Please, stop smacking before you speak.
Sounds cheap to me
Too wet! It sounds much more natural if you set ot more to the dry side..
What is wrong with this guy, it's like he's hanging out with his stocker.
sh*t pedals man
Bloody fat man places everything on max. He have no idea how to set the voices .
They just made her nice voice sound cheaply produced and synthesized. I wouldn't buy any of those for live performance. Maybe to use subtly in the studio, but then you should be able to do all that with plugins in the studio environment. So really not worth the money just get a singer in the band who can sing.
the way she says the word "better" is annoying as hell.
Harmony sucks sorry dont sound real to me robots in the back ground
