How CAMP STOVES and SLEEPING PADS Are Made!!

I got to see how MSR camp stoves and Therm-A-Rest sleeping pads are made!! Cascade Designs is the innovative company behind such iconic and innovative brands as MSR and Therm-A-Rest, and they invited me in for a tour of their headquarters in Seattle, Washington! I got to see how they make some of their industry-leading camp stoves and iconic sleeping pads and take a peek at their repairs department. I got a bonus look at the water lab where they test their backpacking and camping water filters like the MSR Guardian!

Cascade Designs was founded in Seattle, WA to sell Therm-A-Rest sleeping pads when the original patent was filed for their now iconic self-inflating sleeping pad in 1972! I sent an old Whisperlite International (with the old flat-top jet) in to Cascade Designs. My unit was so old it didn't have the shakerjet needle. When it came back to me I not only got the shakerjet but two new domed jets! They also replaced the fuel line and generator tube.
