So don't compare a diabetic person or a scorbutic one with a depressed individual. I was depressed because I wanted to see the world grey and the glass half empty, I changed myself so my depression disappeared and I stopped paying those thieves called therapists, which without you being depressed they would be working at McDonald's. It's not just about feeling sad, it's a measurable imbalance in the body's production of dopamine, serotonin, GABA and other neurotransmitters. It's perfectly comparable to diabetes or scurvy. When the imbalance is small, it can be fixed with having healthy habits, same as vitamin C deficiency can be cured just by having a lemonade. When the imbalance is big, solutions at other level are needed. There is no reason to feel ashamed when someone needs help. Many people die every day to self harm for avoiding this help.
