It sucks that a pattern was found, and you can predict what you'll get. Definitely takes the fun out of it.
Agreed! At least the upgraded Ls don't follow a pattern to keep some surprise in there.
the pattern can skip sometimes so its not 100% all the time
I’ve hit pattern 2/2 boxes BUT got 4 Legendary in each box and had a few “bonus” pulls in the hyperspace and foil slots. While you can predict the pattern, I still find it fun to see what else might show up in the bonus slots and chase the showcase. At the current price points ($240-250 + tax/shipping) the overall value doesn’t hold up as well.

I'm very interested if the collation issue continues in set 2. But unfortunately there will always be bad boxes. Since this is the "base" set there are a lot of great staples. Depending on set 2's power levels, if set 2 is super powerful then a lot of the value transfers to set 2 boxes, but if set 2 is super weak, then set 1's cards are going to go to the moon and set 2's EV will be bad. Lots to balance in a TCG! Lots to mess up.
That was without a doubt the worst box in the history of boxes.
