    Run your drill in reverse to get it started through the siding, it'll make a smooth hole instead of jagged

    Very nice video, Tom. I watched it late yesterday on my TV. I loaded flatbed for years. Did not know that scissor ratchets were illegal in PA. Thanks for keeping your awesome content coming. It's always good stuff!!👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Tom, if you start drilling in reverse it will cut through the vinyl siding without wanting to tear the material. This usually works for that type of material.

    @DUSTEATER2 Před 6 měsíci +1

    All the wire in the conduit has to be rated for the highest voltage wire. Usually 600 volts for thhn or thwn . Of course homeowners do whatever they want so who cares. At least the telephone guy caught it

    @concretewiththehauses run the hole saw in reverse in the vinyl siding it wont catch and tear it melts its way through, yes its harder on the bit but better than trying to replace siding.

    In case you want to turn the travel alarm off, till you decide you want to turn it back on......... You can do it in the CAT Monitor by going to:
    Service/Service Mode/"1234"/Machine/Installations/Travel Alarm......"OK" to disable the travel alarm. Same procedure will turn it back on for when you are in a location where it may be needed or helpful. Really wish the button to your right (the one you used getting off the trailer) would do this, would be safer in my opinion (mostly use my machine with no one else around). After-all, they did put this in there as an "option", a completely inconvenient option, but an option none the less, so it must be okay to use it during "appropriate" times......😂
    Are you liking the 302CR, in comparison to your older 301.7?
    I am loving 302CR, I have 120 some hours on it at this point. Decided to get a hydraulic coupler for it from Hartford Attachments in the UK, called the Uni-lok hydraulic coupler (get it with the lifting eye, it's in a better position than the eye on the bucket link), I got mine from Dar @ Solaris Attachments. It was made to order so it took several weeks plus Fed-Ex ships it to you, which seems to take weeks to get out of any European airport.... It uses the same basic design as the CAT coupler, with the wedge locking the rear pin so it automatically adjusts to stay tight each time you engage it. Also it is setup as a single lock & unlock coupler, so the "safety" front pin lock opens and closes with the rear wedge (like it should...).
    It's not cheap but worth every penny, no more getting in and out of the cab unless you have hydraulic hoses for a tilt bucket or something. They can provide a full hydraulic fitting kit for it, or you can get the "Hydraulic quick coupler lines" from CAT and then the system works thru the monitor (what I went with and had CAT install it all as the initial setup of the machine), the line setup is available to order thru the parts department, at-least a year ago it was not available as an "option" on a new machine unless it was ordered from the parts department separately (not sure why....).
    I haven't figured out how to remove the floor mat to clean it easily..... I think you have to take the pedals off to get it out.......(REALLY CAT.....) Let me know if you figure out how to do that with the pedals in place! Have a good one!!👍

    i trend to add a piece of cardboard over the top of that and drill it all at the same time which keeps the drill centered.

    ❤️Tom! Your the 1st CZcams person I’ve seen use a proper method (IMO), for glueing conduit! Only glueing the pipe and not the hub. Glueing the hub can make a ridge of glue inside the conduit making pulling wire difficult to say the least. Nice job!

    When vacuuming the bag through the pipe, start at the female end. Then the bag is sliding across the bell, not the sharp edges of the male portion of the pipes.

    Hey Tom when pulling the wire through it’s not a bad idea to pull another run of string to leave in there for future use if any additional wire needs to be added.

    Telephone man here.
    Communications lines can be in the same trech as power, but not the same conduit, that said, if you already had the 1 inch pipe on hand we can be in the same pipe as cable tv.

    I'm sure your neighbor friend appreciated your work. Good guy. Have a good Sunday. Who's your pick for the SB?? Hope 49ers win, but I took Taylor's team with points. I'm sorry, I meant the Chiefs😢😢
