The irony about TalkSport spending years slagging off Martial is that, when fit, he actually contributed goals and assists for United at a higher rate than Rashford. Just goes to show how absurd all the Rashford “World Class” talk was for years. Not to mention, Martial is objectively a much better technical and well rounded player than Rashford. TalkSport has had an odd obsession with attacking Martial for years when he’s been injured non-stop for the past three seasons and hardly played.

Sorry mate Martial along with Rashford are the perfect examples of big time Charlie who don't derserve to play for our club. Martial waltzes around the pitch like a headless chicken and I think Rooney was referring to him and Shaw on playing injured and not willing to play thru any pain. Rasford is a deadbeat and way over rated .

Too funny. Martial’s top flight career is probably close to done. His lower body is an absolute mess and he openly said that in an interview two years ago. My original post was mostly highlighting the absurdity of how highly rated the English media have tried to make Rashford out to be. When in reality he’s on Martial’s level. And the English media have had a strange obsession with Martial for years. I’d pick neither of them. Martial’s career is pretty much done because of injuries and Rashford is one of the laziest and most disinterested players I’ve ever seen.

Martial hasn’t played in over 5 months. He had groin surgery. And before that, he was pretty much coming off the bench in cameo appearances.
Wouldn't put it past United to give him a bumper new contract.

Martial's career has got to be one of the saddest things. I still remember when they signed him and the excitement that generated. I wonder if he now reflects on that and perhaps wishes he'd joined Arsenal instead if he had his time again.
He arrived as the Next Thierry Henry, Golden Boy, most expensive Teenager and left as barely an average player. Who failed who?

Anthony Martial is a big reason why I won't support this Club until all these mercenaries are gone. Love the Club, hate the mercenaries holding the shirt, Club and fans to ransom. Martial, no one has wanted you at this Club for the past 5 years. If he thinks he deserves a send-off its as audacious as a criminal gang robbing a house and coming back the next day to be thanked by the victims.
The mercenaries will keep coming. Just look at anyone United signs this summer and I guarantee you they could have joined a better team with a chance to win things but chose United only for the money.

“Faking injuries.” He had groin surgery in January. Nobody in their right mind gets groin surgery to fake an injury. Likewise, he destroyed his knee four years ago and was out for half the season. He was never the same after that. Anyone with common sense knows that groin, hamstring, and knee injuries are all interconnected once the body gives out. Too much strain is placed on other body parts overcompensating and the whole system becomes one giant mess. The reality is Martial’s lower body is destroyed. And he said that in an interview two seasons ago.
