      It's ok I will rebuild better then before

    I could only watch the first 5 and last couple minutes before I had to go. It was good to see the crank spinning with the other three pistons. That's promising. Can't wait for the rebuild. I need some inspiration. I just blew the crank bearings on my D17A2, a couple weeks ago. Just before I was about to auto-to-manual swap it. My D17 KPRO and AEM gear came in today. I can't believe-I was able to order one from a website and it actually showed up. Usually, it's an email saying it's been discontinued. $1015 for a v4 kpro on a SI ecu and an AEM cam gear. I'm still dumbfounded I found one, honestly.

    Best Bro's if you people drive hard or whit turbo applications. Use motor oil like redline and never use 5w30 5w20 etc use 5w40 or 5w50. Give you car also a oil cooler. This is the second time I just remember. Good luck just wanna help nothing wrong 🔥👍🏻

    • @PirateGarage
      @PirateGarage  Před 4 lety

      Yes an oil cooler is in the works have all the parts but the fittings was going to put one on after the tune

    Get your injectors checked. See if that cylinder was running extremely lean.

    • @PirateGarage
      @PirateGarage  Před 4 lety

      The injectors were new, watch the video its obvious what went wrong

    • @circuitspecdc1928
      @circuitspecdc1928 Před 4 lety

      Not injector.. if injector, the top of the piston would be melted due to leaning out

    I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS !
    DON'T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY.... TAKE IT CONSTRUCTIVELY !
    I HAVE WORKED IN AN ENGINE BUILDING ATMOSPHERE WHERE LABORATORY CONDITIONS EXISTED ! JUST THE SLIGHTEST SPECK OF NOTHING WILL DESTROY AN ENGINE !
    I LOVE YOUR ATTITUDE AND YOUR OVERALL KNOWLEDGE OF HONDA STUFF !
    BUT... BROTHER.... TAKE A BREATH AND SLOW DOWN, YOU ARE ALWAYS IN A HURRY LIKE A FIREMAN!
    MEASURE TWICE CUT ONCE !
    I WISH I COULD PROVIDE YOU WITH A PROPER ATMOSPHERE AND ALL OF THE PROPER TOOLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED !
    GOOD LUCK AND SLOW DOWN !
    THERE IS A SAYING FROM NEW ENGLAND....
    WHY DO IT RIGHT WHEN YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN !!!

    @Turbolsvda9 Před 4 lety +1

    Did you line hone with the arp mains and whats oil clearance did you shoot for as well that looks like the engine was tight because of the arp mains honestly but rebuild man thats all I can say and shoot for a looser clearance on both the mains and rods the rods and mains will appreciate it only way to keep them happy at higher power levels if shooting for 500-600hp stock clearance works great get back at man

    It sucks that your tuner wasnt paying attention to the oil gauge, the issues were obvious thru out the tunning phase

    Bent a B16 rod when I was in high school. On 16psi. 100% stock motor. Beat the hell out of it. Lasted a while 2. Blew the motor and cylinder 3 rod looked like a question mark 😂

  • @bsbuilt
    @bsbuilt Před 4 lety

    Just found the channel, like the content.. but like others said you gotta slow down a bit and do it right.
    For anyone who is about to build an engine...
    Main studs require line bore.
    Check clearances always. I typically have my machine shop check em when I drop off the block. I'll take the crank rods and bearings and they do it all for me.

    How much boost did it take to embed that rod bolt in there and explode the block? Also do you think your tolerances were to tight on the rod in cylinder 4 for it to do that?
