Kratos actually has brutal responses foe everything every god says because in Sparta, people were trained to be able to respond to any attack, be it military or verbal. Kratos is literally trained to spit savage lines

Kratos absolutely reflects on what he's done in the other GOWs.
I'd recommend playing GOW 2018. It really shows how much he's grown and come to terms with his past, while also still fighting some of his past demons and of course raising BOI
Same can be said about the newly released Ragnarok, where Kratos develops even further as a character and realizes his mistakes he made in the past, while teaching Atreus to not repeat his bad choices.
Too bad you have to play a game with dogshit combat

The new games don't have anything near this brutal, but for very good reason. Also fun fact to know when going into GoW 2018 and ragnarok, kratos is canonically stronger than he's ever been in those games and I believe the creator said he would definitely beat the version of himself from 1-3 in a fight

That's something that GoW 2018 missing.
They fixed that in the GoW Ragnarök, the amount of brutally (and variety of enemies) increase alot, even for the normal attack by perfect-beard man...

Kratos has been betrayed, manipulated and used by his family many times. He did everything in service to the Gods hoping they can award him by relieving his trauma, but his pray and words fell in deaf ears and he was shunned ignored till the he can't take it. Leading him filled with rage and anger.

Another interesting note is he was more merciful toward Hera a Woman. Was willing to let her go at first ane even gave her a cleaner and quicker death, this game is available on PS4/5 too as a remaster, and the "black" Zeus released was the evil of "fear" that infected him after GOW1. many fans believe Zeus didn't fight back at the end after being feed of fear due ot realizing how much he had hurt Kratos so he accepted his punishment
There was a removed line where he was apoligizing, but they didn't wanna humanize him, i feel kind bad for zeus, he became like this because of the evils, Zeus was a prick yes, but he wasn't evil, it all came to this after all.

20:08 Asura's Wrath is a pretty similar game to God of War in its story, and definitely matches in scale, if not exceeding it.

The point I was trying to make was that they have similar themes: A divinely powerful warrior betrayed by his godly peers, driving him down a wrathful path of vengeance that ultimately results in him killing a pantheon. And while Asura's Wrath certainly isn't perfect, and it is over the top anime bullshit, that in no way makes it bad. Unless of course you just don't like anime...
On the zeus bit, zeus can protect himself but he chose not to as for what he did despite being infected with the evils of the box taking hold on him, the black smoke coming out of him were the evils.

In actual mythology, Ares ended their golden age. He and his acolytes went on a killing spree, threatening death on their worshippers. Zeus agreed that the pantheon would no longer interfere with the mortal world. Interesting how Zeus distanced himself from Ares, fearing death by his hands; yet, the latter ended his mortal realm.
That's a made up story, there's no greek equivalent of Ragnarok in which someone ended Greek Pantheon.

Hermes is super fast, but the Blades Kratos use can give him nutrients and increase his speed, power etc with the blood of his enemies, now imagine like 10.000 soldiers, as he hacks through them, he keeps getting faster and incontrollable as he rages through them. It's cool to imagine it xD.

Hermes is fast, yes but if I'm not mistaken, he's the god of health so when he died, Olympus was plagued with disease

I was wrong, just looked it up, Hermes was the ancient Greek god of trade, wealth, luck, fertility, animal husbandry, sleep, language, thieves, and travel. So yeah, plague of Olympus happened in the game because the flies that came out of Hermes were carrying a lot of diseases that quickly plagued the people and the land.

fun fact about poseidon, greek sailors often throw horses overboard as a sacrifice to appease poseidon and to gain protection from him and not sink their ship.
so poseidon having horses on his boss form kinda makes sense and also he's the god of the horses so yeah.
The thing that I love about this game even though it’s 12 years old is because of how it kinda has chain reactions after you kill a god like for example:
Poseidon is the god of the sea, without Poseidon there was no one to rule over the sea, causing a giant flood of sea water
Hades is the god of the underworld, without Hades there was no ruler of the underworld, causing all of the souls to be freed
Note: (by under world I mean heck but replace the “ck” with “Ll”)
Helios is the God of the Sun, since he was killed, there was no ruler of the sun, so the sun was covered with giant thunder clouds permanently, it also explains why he said “feel the power OF THE SUN” when he went bright mode, it was because he was using the power of the sun, literally.
This is why you get the video that shows ALL of the kills in God of War series thus far, because there's kills that unless this chap watched in another video on their channel that they straight up aren't seeing, and you even see Krato's story unfold in a way as well.
When you hear the god of war theme start playing it's GG for whoever Kratos is fighting lmao
The interesting thing was, Poseidon WAS one of the strongest Gods. If Kratos did not kill him at the start, he could've possibly single-handedly beaten all the Titans. (Pulling them off the mountain into the sea)

Crazy that Cronos is Kratos grandfather
The creator definitely cut out a lot of deaths from the video for CZcams reasons. In the fight against Helios, kratos ends up pulling Helios' head apart from his body using his bare hands. Even with the somewhat dinosaur graphics it is terribly gruesome
Fun fact Hercules is actually the roman myth version when in greek mythology his name is actually Heracles
The interesting thing about the final fight with Zeus is that it was more than just father vs son and such, but since Zeus was infected with the power of fear at the end of GOW1 after Kratos opened Pandora's box, and Kratos got the power of hope which he used to kill Ares, Zeus vs Kratos ended up being a thematic battle of fear vs hope.
That whole dream-ish sequence you didn't see after Fear Zeus broke Kratos' neck was him lost in the darkness of his own mind and trying to win the battle against his own despair and past guilt for his past actions, chiefly when he killed his wife and daughter, and results in a sequence where, with the power of hope within him, he can see the way to redemption and has a touching reconciliation with his wife and daughter in dream form where he hugs them and learns to forgive himself. And it's after all that that he comes to and whoops the Fear form of Zeus back into his body.
Also that nasty ass burp cloud Zeus emitted when Kratos tackled him was just the power of fear leaking out lol, just as the blue flames coming from Kratos' hands when he releases Fear Zeus' grip on him and after he killed Zeus was the power of hope burning from within. Just some neat little details that you probably didn't know from just watching the video.
Poseidon actually gets his eyes pushed in and then his neck snapped but the guy cut that part out.

@@AiminOC fun facts: the black smoke that was coming out of Zeus of the power of fear, in the first game kratos unleashes chaos, fear, jealousy, plague, darkness and order, life (all gods were infected which is why they started hating kratos) in the books they all never hated him but respected him for helping them out, Helios was saved by kratos after hade's wife and atlas tried to destroy the world and instead of going inside of kratos it goes inside the gods of Olympus, plus Zeus in disguise as a old man saved kratos after ares killed him so he can continue his journey making Hercules right that he was zeus' favorite son, again he prevented young kratos from dying in Sparta sadly the game had more bosses and dialogue and everytime he harmed a god you'd notice athena in a mean manner tells you what you did/caused after killing gods, zeus and hercules tell's kratos their sorry before their final beatdowns

First off: the part of Posideons death that was cut out was while his eyes were gouged out, his neck was snapped. As for hades, there are two kinds of souls. The souls of the damned, and the pure souls of elysium. The souls of the damned were imprisoned by hades for their bad lives they had. Without hades, they get to leave and torment the world of the living without anyone able to contain them properly.
Kevin Sorbo, guy who voiced Hercules also portrayed him in the old Hercules tv series. Crazy to see him portray an evil version of this character
Kratos begins to view Pandora like his own late daughter Calliope. Being a father himself he understands Hepheastus wishes. Hearing Hera's insults, Kratos will not let that slide.
So interesting note but Hercules was voiced by Kevin Sorbaro who was famous for playing Hercules in the live action TV series from the 90's

You did well to look out for what the video was cutting but you missed a major important cut
after Zeus's ghost chokes kratos and you see the dark kratos with the red tattoo. There's an internal
mind journey kratos goes on to find the resolve to continue fighting by looking into his heart and forgiving
himself for what he did to his family and letting pandora die in order to unlock the true power of the box
the power of hope, thats why kratos has the glow in his eyes when he fights zeus after that point.
Gow3 will always be a masterpiece but it’s like Kratos got a swag or flavor with his walk

Fun fact, Poseidon is stated in mythology to be the strongest God in Olympus or at least Strong enough to fight Zeus and win, so God of War 3 literally guaranteed the death of everyone immediatly if you knew mythology, also, there's God killing since God of War 1, with is 2 more main games and then you also have the PSP games.
however in god of war zeus is basically a god of gods so as strong as posidon was zeus was entire leagues ahead

Heracles was simply the smartest, bravest and strongest hero ever... He was carrying the argonauts on his back until his friend dissapeared and he abandoned the crew of Jason to search for the guy.
If Heracles had stood with Jason he would probably not fuck around with Medea, and I don't think Medea would be a problem. I mean, Heracles would beat the dragon and Talos easily, later he would find some way to escape from the king's fleet, he was a cunning warrior trained by Chiron just like Jason was so he would probably find a way to get out of that situation even if that mean using pure brute force.
That man was the smartest of the group, the most mature and cautious, he was the second better archer, strongest in raw power with Ascalafo, wise not as a person but as a scholar too, knowing a lot about plants and animals thanks to Chiron who decided to teach him to be a good man and a scholar, with abilities with the bow, letting his natural strenght to be developed naturally as he grows up and learn how to fight physically by his own.
The guy was cool headed, patient, empathetic, compassionate, friendly, loyal, kindhearted, noble and had a good sense of humor (Chiron was responsible for those easy going traits too). He was so good with the words that even managed to convince Hades to help him twice, Hades is indeed the best god but he wasn't the type who was easily convinced, but Heracles managed to get on his good side twice... And they fought once and Hades had a grudge, but didn't care enough to not help his nephew.
It's just scratching the surface of Heracles, he is knowed for being a strenght symbol but he was the definition of what a hero should be, and what a person should strive to be. So this GoW Heracles is shit... Still a cool boss but it's not a good Heracles...
