0:17 The 1990's M8 was a prototype, it was never sold to the public. The top BMW 8 Series was the 850CSi (1994-96) with 375hp.

You've got nice car bro, same engine with the Supra. Couple of mods here and there and you will be around 500hp.
@@ristekostadinov2820 I've been doing the research, there's a really good one "tune" out there, the company is Noelle, I spoke to one of the local dealers for the product in my area, he said it's getting some really good power gains. And thank you for the car compliment.
@@patrickroberts6999 in my opinion is a more practical Supra since the back seats are usable and the interior is better in my opinion. The Supra only in red interior was looking good.

Not sure there was an ///M8 in 1990. I remember the 850 was the one with the V12. I stand corrected though 🙌🏾.
Guda Lawrence no you’re right. Bmw never done an M8 from the first generation, it was only the 850 that lasted for 10 years. There was the M6 though from its predecessor

@Vq37 hr this car is huge and heavy. It drives and rides well for a daily grand tourer but honestly people who spends this amount of money would rather get a track focused super sports car
@Vq37 hr where did you get the data that the m8 share lap times with the R8? Most recorded lap times indicate the R8 is faster around the track and the amg gt is even qucikee

My 2005 X5 4.4 had a water cooled alternator that blew out every 30,000 miles ($1200) I wonder how much it cost to replace an alternator on this thing. My bet, $3,500. (this one is a turbo) It passes the golf club test.

I'd agree. You don't need to spend a 157k to enjoy a driving experience. M8 is nice, all new, and very gorgeous. I was in love with the car until you said the price. It may be worth every dollar to some people, but for that money, there is way too much competition.

Was always an s class fanboy but this is no comparison to the s coupe. This is drop..dead..sexy! Only zonk is the interior color. I like the color but it doesn't flow well with the exterior color.

For $157k I’d get an NSX or Porsche 911 gt3, the 4 door m8 in the other hand has little competition next to the panamera and the amg gt 4 door
with 157 you are lucky if you ha e a porsche turbo. but the gt3 is much more ghana this

Where are sourcing your specifications from? The M8 coupe weighs 1,885 kg (4,156 lb), 2010 kg (4,431 lb) for the convertible, and 2,032 kg (4,480 lb) for the Gran coupe. Not only is the car lighter than a majority of it's German and British competitors (AMG gt63, RS7, Bentley, panamera), I would also think that it is capable of outperforming a 400 horsepower Honda civic. The car makes 617 to 625 wheel horsepower and has a much better transmission than what can be found in a civic (outside of sourced aftermarket parts). How is it that you consider 0-60 sprint in as little as 2.8 to 3.2 seconds sluggish? They type r for comparisons sake does the same sprint in 4.9 to 5.4 seconds, and adding another 100 horsepower wouldn't shave off 2 seconds.
Only thing thats actually comparable is a Bentley Continental, so yeah its a bargain.
It's only worth the price if you race professionally. This is not a daily driver..
can we all agree bmw, mercedes and audi all over priced because of a logo . cost so much and i dont think you get the power in my opinion , they are nice cars though .
