What he mentions about durability is no joke. Before i got the 452k i used to have a Chinese generic E-Drumset, and compared side by side, you'd think the generic one is far better than the Yamaha. The pads are way thicker and heavier, they even come with mini boom arms. But it fell apart in little over a year. The cymbals started failing to register hits, the module had major latency issues, horrible samples, the kickpad's screws that held it in one piece would constantly fall out after playing for 10 minutes, a bassdrum pedal so sh%tty that the beater's rod got bent, believe it or not. And some of the pads just stopped working altogether. While my 452k is still going with full functionality after a whole year of use, AND none of the hardware broke nor has had issues with screws going loose while playing. Even the low end Yamaha throne included which is not meant for a guy of my size, is still in perfect condition.

Hey nice video. Just curious if the ride is velocity sensitive, so you get the bell. And for the metal sound you get the hi hatt controller as another bass drum? Thanks again!

Sure a hell wish you could find and actually video on everything you need to know about this instrument. Rather than someone showcasing how good they are.

Here's a weird question: If I bought a DTX532K but I hate the feel of the cymbal pads, could I buy a few of these cymbal pads and use them with the 532K?

On the DTX452, is it possible to play something like a Bossa Nova beat where you're using the length of the drumstick across the rim? I've heard that this doesn't quite have a rim zone? Playing Latin rhythms would be important to me, so it would be important to know whether you can actually play that on this kind of drum or whether it's relegated to purely pop and rock rhythms where you're striking more in the centre of the drum head rather than across the whole thing. Also, can you use brushes on these drums for jazz? Thanks

ive just bought one, and yes you can play both rim shots and cross-sticks as well as normal snare hits and ghost notes, due to the 3 drum zone on the snare, if thats what you mean? hope this helps

Compared to DTXplorer this is inferior product in every single way. We are quite dissapointed. We dont recommend it.
