- Grand Final - George Sampson
George Sampson's Singing In The Rain routine was so popular with the judges and public alike that the 14 year-old school boy has decided to reprise it for the final. The Warrington lad has really caught the imagination of the nation, as much for his determination to succeed as his twinkle-toed dancing. And the verdict tonight? The judges were bursting to tell him!
I love your confidence George. I love the fact that every time we've ever seen you it's the best performance you've ever done. The thing that I love and everyone loves is that you are a fighter. You've got a great chance".
Amanda said, "I am so pleased you chose to do that routine again. I didn't know how you could top that routine but you kind of have, this is a life changing moment this show, a big prize I think you are in with a big shot.
And Simon agreed, "Every time I think we've spotted a winner it changes again. You've got to have a chance of winning the competition after that. Getting it spot on is almost impossible but you did it - good for you!"

Show 13 (Saturday, 31 May 2008 at 18:50)
Britain's Got Talent is a British television show on ITV (also on TV3 in Ireland). Presented by Ant & Dec, the talent show premiered on 9 June 2007, and was broadcast daily with a live final on 17 June 2007. It is a search for Britain's next best amateur talent act, featuring singers, dancers, comedians, variety acts, and other talents of all ages. Anyone who believed they have talent was encouraged to audition. The winner of the show received £100,000 and performed at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen and members of the Royal Family at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool.
As Britain's Got Talent returns for its second series, hosts Ant & Dec and judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan once again begin their search for Britain's most talented performer. The second series began on a primetime slot at 19:45 on 12 April and for the remainder of the auditions will continue in this Saturday night slot. Once the semi-finals begin they will be shown daily, like in series one, over one week 26 May - 30 May with the live final on Saturday 31 May.
Format
The series made its début soon after the conclusion of its U.S. counterpart, America's Got Talent, and is the creation of The X Factor and Pop Idol/American Idol mastermind Simon Cowell who has created a Got Talent series across the globe. On 12 February 2007 it was announced by ITV the judges would be Cowell, Piers Morgan (who had also judged America's Got Talent), and Amanda Holden (a late replacement for Cheryl Cole[1]). In a similar fashion to The X Factor, the show has an ITV2 counterpart called Britain's Got More Talent, presented by magician and former CITV presenter, Stephen Mulhern.
The show was originally planned to air much earlier (before America's Got Talent) and be presented by Paul O'Grady. However, after O'Grady's defection to Channel 4 from ITV for The Paul O'Grady Show, O'Grady refused to appear in another ITV show, so the series was put on hold after just one rehearsal show.[2][3]
The audition process is similar to The Gong Show but with the judges pressing buzzers instead of banging a gong. The buzzers can only be pressed once if the judge has seen enough, and when all three are pressed the act must stop. The auditions also include the added twist of having to perform in front of a studio audience alongside the judges. Once the act finishes or is stopped, judges express their opinions and decide whether they would like to see them in the semi-finals, with acts needing to receive a majority vote to go through. The audience is invited to express their views (often boos or cheers) which may have a positive or negative impact on a judge's decision, should the judge be unsure on whether to put the act through.

he was just gone 14 when he had auditioned, he danced on the streets of Manchester, he self taught himself to dance, every penny he earned went towards food, petrol, dance classes, bills etc he diserved to win, he has his own movie out, he is in Waterloo road and he now has his own dance studio for those in poverty like he was. at the age of 22 is amazing.
Yep
Correct!!!
Ye
No he didn't his dance was garbage signature was the best by far that year
I went that studio
I loved signiture's attitude here.
They acted like they didn't deserve it.. they were happy with what they got
+Edaan Friedman Classy and wonderful, you can always tell who people really are in moments like this
+BetaArtemis like when George helped Andrew when he was sad
Yeah they acted supah humble when it was announced they came 2nd place.
Remember the days when AGT and BGT winners were not singers, good old days.
Gwanny18 remember when people who were kids or disabled d is not always win? Yeah there have been at least 4 winners on these where the person has won because they are either a kid or are disabled. George is a legend though
@Backkeirstarmer_ If you're talking about Tokio Myers, I don't think he sang lol
I wish that they were all singers and dancers, instead of dog acts, card tricksters, and acrobats. Now the trend is to give the winning spot to kids and disabled people. The shows have gone downhill fast. I mean, come on. Jonathan and Charlotte lost to a dog act? And Brian Justin Crum lost to a kid who played the banjo? Please.
I agree while there is the occasional magician or ventriloquist this is so true it's pretty much always singers
@@SymphonyBrahms if your referring to lost voice guy he deserves to win hes better than most acts that have won my favourite bgt/agt winner of all time is attraction and shin lim they were unique and legendary at this time I thought signature were more worthy winners but George was and still is a great talent and has earned his success the hard way
Wow! I love how George is so emotional and he's just so humble as a 14 year old. He absolutely deserved to win.
This boy has done something I have always wanted to do. He had an epic win, saved his family, then did a victory dance in front of a crowd of cheering hundreds, and did it in the rain.
I am so happy for him.
I remember after this performance everyone in school including the teachers talked about him
The Impulsive’s Ball Boy Miracle Worker he’s talking about his school not George’s
This kids story is a testament that no matter what adversity you face in life... NEVER QUIT/GIVE UP! Dedication, perseverance and hard work truly pay off!! Glad you made it George, keep living the dream :)
Even Simon was on the verge of tears when he was telling him how he deserved it all. It was so emotional and man that performance at that age. Just amazing. Nothing short of awesome and inspiring.
Crying 11 years later 😭😭😭❤❤❤
13 years later

Such a beautiful kid. :) I can't watch this without crying. What a perfect time for dancing, too, eh? Right after he learned he won. I wish him all the best for a bright future!
Awwwwww that was so nice and touching of George to give Andrew a consolation embrace after he was announced in 3rd place! Hope they are still best friends to this day.
i just watched him on street dance! he's amazing!!
4 years later...tears are still there, you go George!
The years from 2000 - 2011 were the best on these type of talent shows because there was an actual diverse range of talents, instead of them all being singers.
that feeling of winning even thou its not about winning but your dreams achieved
That's what I like!! George is so humble
I'm bawling my eyes out. I'm so happy he won, he really deserved to win, he deserved to achieve his dream. Hardly ever happens, so it makes the moment just that much more incredible.
i love how he was rejected the year before and came to win it the next year!!! ^_^
Anyone could have won, but the fact that he's only 14, and his potential & confidence shown through so well, its hard to ignore the fact that he deserves to win. Every time he came back on stage, he does better than the last. He's a fighter!!!!!
A lovely example of how hard work, dedication and perseverance can pay off :)
Absolutely incredible young man!!
4:21 "You were fucking brilliant"
Like if you heard this the first time.
+Cameron Thom ...yeah, but there wasn't a Cocozzagate!

wonderful, inventive interpretation of Singing In The Rain! I hope he has an awesome career!
I love george, his face at 8:48 shows how much he's put his heart and soul into dancing :)
I wish I was there when Simon told the other two " I TOLD YOU SO , I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT , I'M BRILLIANT , I LOVE MYSELF , WILL I MARRY ME ?" ROFL
What an awesome moment!
He doesnt have to dance in a particular way, he put his heart and soul into that dance to change his familys life and I think he completely deserved winning. He's amazing
What is this liquid coming out of my eyes
When I 1st watched this I thought George was gonna breakdown
I remember watching this when I was 11 years old, this is iconic

Brilliant!! Although I don't know anything about dancing but he's definitely got the talent and the spirit!! It's not just about the techniques but the feelings he put into the moves!!! Just so beautiful to watch!!
They were All winners. Never before or since so many powerhouses on one stage.
at KID is GREAT!!! LOVE SINGING IN THE RAIN
No wonder George Sampson is in Streetdance
Often when you see a singer, dancer, or an artist of any kind it's easy to see if someone has talent.
Often it's easy to see when someone is good at their job.
But this kid loves dancing. Every single time he moves he puts his soul into it and you can see that not only talent but dedication and passion are put into every part of this act.
This kid is brilliant.
Its worth it just to see the joy and pride on his parents faces
it felt like this was his best performance no I meant like he put his extra effort and I don't mean the rest was bad but look at his face in the video he is emotionless but I can say that he was serious
Signature :(
This is pretty freaking awesome :)
While only looking at his performance, my finger instinctively clicked the like button
8 years ago WTF
i thought signatuure would win
I agree
Well deserved! From the streets of Manchester to the top... he gave everything he had cause he literally didn’t have much 💷
Bless him
well done george u were so frickin amazing
And not a single fuck was given by Piers.
As good as this kid was, Jeremy Lynch deserved to win. They kicked him out during the semi-finals for one slip up. Simon, at that point said, "Dropping the ball in an act like that is like forgetting the words to a song". Now that is bullshit. If Simon knew anything, he would know that freestyle football is 10x harder than singing any fucking song or doing any dance. Jeremy is an absolute legend in freestyle football and Simon is privileged to have even gotten a chance to witness his skills. All of the people who made it to the final are extremely talented, but none of them deserved to win half as much as Jeremy Lynch did. This is a fact.
Today, Jeremy is one of the most accomplished freestyle footballers in the world. He has worked with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juan Mata, Di Maria, and other football greats. His F2 Freestyle show was chosen to open for the 2012 FIFA Ballon D'or, where he performed for Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Xavi, and all the best players in the world. Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan are absolute fools for eliminating him from their little competition, and they lost ALL credibility with me and anyone who knows talent when they did so.
Nah this kid deserved to win fully. Great dancing skills and great song that he went by. Beats anything to do with football.
Dancing. As good as it is, it's just dancing. Imagine performing a complicated dance while also having to concentrate on juggling a football in exact rhythm with music.. It shouldn't even be a question as to who has more talent. And "beats anything to do with football?" Are you just some un-athletic kid who has something against sports? Like what kind of comment is that?
LegitCBTV Calm down man.. I am a huge football fan and a fan of free style.. I say his performance and wanted him to win but he made mistakes and more importantly it wasnt as entertaining and these..
esucil Fair enough..we're all entitled to our opinions
i watch this 10000 times but its still emotional for me he is so talentend he came back he made a amazing comeback respect for george sampson
great video, i love George Sampson and a love him as Kyle stack in Waterloo road which i'm a big fan of to and great work George!!!!!!!!!!

great job. Plus you looked attractive, so that just makes this video that much more enjoyable to watch
Im so happy he eon this every time he preformed it made me cry. :3 so adorable!
He's so modest. He's the only one who doesn't wave his hands and attract attention when his name is called, but instead claps for the others. So humble.
George Sampson is awesome. He deserves to be the winner :)
I'm glad George won and I was hoping to I had all my fingers cross and he even started crying for joy :') I'm happy for you George xx
