    I’ve had a Fury and a m109r. The Fury is an awesome bike I loved it but it is a cruiser and yes it’s not fast however it’s an awesome bike. The M109r is fast and yes it’s faster that the raider stock but it’s plastic and a pain to work on. Lots of panels to take off. The Raider is a perfect bike in my eyes fast enough comfy and good looking. In my opinion for what it’s worth out of the three bikes the Raider comes out on top. However it depends what you want out of your bike. If you simple what to sit back and cruise then the Fury. If you want to Drag Race the M109R is for you. But the Raider is the best of both worlds.

      109r is ugly af and uncomfortable. Roadliner,strat, raider is waay better in every direction

    Nice bike man, I have a raider too. Low and mean makes a lot of awesome raider accessories including a slim seat which might be what you have. And I run an LED headlight from cyclops, very bright and reliable brand in the raider community. If you havent joined the raider group on facebook, you should consider. Lots of cool bikes and people who can answer questions about mods to maintenance and more. Ride on brother

      Hey, I'm glad to hear it! I don't think you'll be disappointed no matter which one you choose. This bike is a lifer for me, there's no point ever getting rid of it lol

    @ericx7476 Před 4 lety +1

    The raider is using the engine of the roadliner/stratoliner. It’s the muscle/sporty version ( tuned a little differently) The newer Yamaha venture/eluder uses the same engine but it has been a bit reworked. So it’s just 3 variations . The Yamaha RS Warrior uses the engine from the roadstar. ( the 2nd gen warrior had the 1600 engine bored out, different internals & fuel injection.) the scl has a multi layer paint job & some other cosmetic stuff. These bikes are expensive over seas because they were made for the North American market. Sadly they have all been Discontinued here in the USA .

      @joelsuarez4251 Před 4 lety +1

      Also first generation Slc had a wider rear wheel making a 240 look a bit wider.

    That seat is from LOW AND MEAN parts for the raider. They used to sell it but now only sell the shell of the low seat. They also sell fenders, rear tire kits,drop kits, and the only ones to sell a front rake kit if you want to truly make it a chopper. NICE motorcycle almost identical to mine

    Hi. I bought yesterday a Yamaha Raider here in Europe BELGIUM.
    Like you said in the movie, here it cost €12.000 for a 2008 14.000miles.
    The shipping is expensive and also its more like demand and supply.
    In Belgium you cant find them.
    I drove a HD sportser 1200 and right now im SUPER crazy about the Raider its a f*kng great bike. In my eyes the best.
    A classic sportster here cost around €10.000. I know crazy.

    I just bought a 2015 with 0 zero miles on it. The guy owned a shop and he kept 4 bikes that he didn't ride at all. Had no oil in it or gas nor battery. I have yet to ride it hoping my battery and stuff comes in so I can put my first mile on it. I can't believe I found this thing

    I have a 2010 Yamaha Raider that I bought new. It is without a doubt the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden. The M109 may be faster oh, but it is nowhere near as comfortable.

  • @chauffeurmarco
    @chauffeurmarco Před 4 lety +2

    My only question about the Raider is why in the hell people want to get rid of the best designed pipes in the motorcycle industry? And they are stock’s. OEM. Personally, I find the Vance and Hines horrible complaire to those stock pipes. And yes,by the way, I own a 2008 deep red metallic Raider. One of the best if not the best color of all the 10 years. Too bad they stopped doing it. Mileage that a got for the three years is about 33-39 mpg or more or less 6.5 liter/100km

    Was looking at a Suzuki M90 or this Raider. How is the handling on these Raiders with that back tire and raked out front end? I like the look of the Raider a bit more but what has been one of my main concerns in the liquid cooled vs air cooled. I live in the mojave desert and temps between 110-120 is normal during summer time and I was thinking the air cooled might be a problem there, especially when driving in traffic. Though, I do live in a small town so traffic isn't too bad... but man, that bike has got to get really hot riding out here. Granted, this is probably one of the few places where the summer isn't the real riding season and 110+ is pretty miserable to ride just a bicycle in. Spring/fall is more where it's at. We sort of have all types of riding here. We have city riding, long stretches of highway and we are surrounded by mountains that also have some twisties. Been curious which between the two would be better overall for that general riding.

      mornemib brink I am only 5’7 ish and I’ve had my raider for close to 6 years. I feel very stable and can easily maneuver it. I’ve had the stock seat and reached everything just fine. I switched to a ZR1 brand seat strictly for looks and I feel like it sits you up a little straighter and a little closer to the front of the bike as compared to the stock seat which puts you a little deeper into the bike. Either way you should be Fine

    Great video, man. I just bought an 09 Raider and have been looking everywhere for the V&H 2 into 1 and can’t find it anywhere. I guess my question to you or to anyone on here is since Yamaha uses the same engine for the Stratoliner and Roadliner like are the exhausts interchangeable? Also if I do get my hands on some is it necessary to have the tuner?

    • @ericx7476
      @ericx7476 Před 4 lety +1

      Raul Esquivel the exhausts are NOT interchangeable. The frames are designed differently on each bike so the exhaust is meant for that specific model only.
      I recommend getting Ivan’s ecu flash, it’s the best thing you can do on these bikes (Yamaha) no need for a tuner!
