    The challenge was to make a bowl without a lathe. Since I don't own a lathe that part was simple!

      Thank you. It definitely was a great learning project and a good way to find different ways to use the same tools I already had.

    That was pretty good! Izzy Swan's earlier videos are really good. He does a lot of turning with a table saw. As soon as my workshop and barn are cleaned out, I'm going to do some experiments of my own!

      Yeah I’ve been debating building the drill table saw lathe thing that he has, but haven’t needed it for anything so it has just stayed in thought, haha

    Great ideas in this video and a fantastic end result. I did chuckle when you had the same "sanding the inside" problems that I did. I tried every sanding machine I had😀

      Thank you! Yeah I wasn't too sure where to go next if the oscillating tool didn't work. Hand-sanding I guess haha

    Great job, I liked the honest approach of your film making, the very clever use of the table saw and converting your drill into a milling machine. Well done Sir!

      Thank you! It probably helps that this is my quickest turnaround between start of project and video publishing so I was able to remember a lot more of the detail. Most of my videos have had about 6 months at least of delay before publishing.

      John the Schreiner Wow! Wish I could get far ahead. I’m usually uploading when the finish is still wet 😂 Great job dude! 👍🏻

      @JohntheSchreiner  Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks! I started recording projects a year before I started uploading. Gave me a fair bit of wiggle room. Though I need to get a few more projects done before snow flies if I want to keep my upload a week schedule going through the winter haha.

    • @MattBerryCustom
      @MattBerryCustom Před 6 lety

      John the Schreiner Yeah I’m really finding that one a week impossible to meet at the moment, my workshop is booked for months with client work,we will see. Fair play to you though, will watch your career with interest 👍🏻

      Vielen Dank! Ich benutze einen Übersetzer, da ich kein Deutsch spreche, also hoffe ich, dass es korrekt ist. Die Einschränkungen für das Projekt bestanden lediglich darin, dass wir keine Holzdrehmaschine verwenden konnten. Alle anderen Werkzeuge waren Fairplay.
      In English - Thank you! I'm using a translator since I don't speak German so I hope it's correct. The constraint on the project was just that we couldn't use a wood lathe. All other tools were fair game.

      @3xcelsi0r10 Před 6 lety

      Very nice bowl you made there ! Which kind of clamps did you used? I am searching for a little bit bigger clamps because I'm a woodworker from Germany .

      Thank you. I used these Aluminum Bar Clamps - www.princessauto.com/en/detail/48-in-aluminum-bar-clamp/A-p8610099e - I think this store is only in Canada, but hopefully you can find something similar.
