I bought this laptop for my daughter 2 years ago. Its not charging correctly, shes missing some screws on the back and i see one broken key. This video is so helpful to me right now. I figure ill fix all of that and add some ram while its opened up. Thanks sooooo much for showing us this.

My display on this laptop flickers. I doubt the monitor stripes in the hinges are the problem. The hinge design is week. Can I use your display replacement video on another model of msi for this one? Also can we easily do it at home if I have very little experience.
I don't have msi service centers nearby.

Try remove the battery and do a direct power from adapter. Hopefully that will power up the laptop.

I wonder if using an open, unsecured "Guest" login at a hotel would've damaged my laptop [access by possible bad actors?]
Your video is great for what I am now trying.
My 3 y.o. GF63 no longer works, seems completely dead. Was attending funeral in a location where my cellphone's hotspot wouldn't work, so used the hotel's Guest login. Last Friday, logged into the laptop, the home screen came up, then within a few seconds the machine shut itself off completely. I could not get it to restart at all, it indicated no power. Contacted MSI support and they had me clear the CMOS (pin hole on back) and try again. But no luck. Kept trying over the next few days without success. I thought it must be a bad adapter/charger. Took it in to computer repair and they state the adapter/charger is fine, that the problem must be a bad motherboard [- yuck -].
I've ordered a new GF63 thin and wonder if any of the following are a good plan.
First, use the 8GB memory from the old machine to upgrade the new one to 16GB.
Then take the SSD card from the old and replace the one on the new GF63 to have all my files, instead of doing a MS restore from the external HD that I use for backing up everything..
Remove and sell any of the internal items (GPU, battery, etc.) to recoup a little of the cost of the new laptop
[is there even a market for these? And is there a way to test these to make sure they are still functional?]
Your video is excellent. You have a good presentation manner which makes everything you are doing clear. Also, the links you provide in your own comments section are especially helpful. Thank you so much.
