Tenebrae is hands down, my favorite Italian/Argento movie. Suggested to me by a friend who said that I would love it, I watched it, came to work the next day and she just smiled and knew. It's such a great mind fuck of a movie that I think is the basis of the movie Basic Instinct.
One thing I do know is that Ridley Scott 💩 all over Alien, his magnum opus ( meaning the most important or best work that an artist, director, writer or actor had/has created )when he made the Prometheus/Covenant movies IMHO! 👽🛸👽🛸
@@Cwin-ny6bp it amazes me that the same guy who gave us Blade Runner,Alien and Gladiator could also give us trash like Prometheus and Napoleon,I wonder why he swings from greatness to utter rubbish 🤔🤔
you'd think that the engineers have something that can protect them from the black goo-thingy... like a forcefield or some way of transportation to quickly get them out of the danger zone
When you think of it, Dennis Nedry from Jurassic Park could qualify... if you count Jurassic Park as a horror film, which you probably did as a kid. It has kids being hunted by velociraptors, after all. That and one scene with venomous dilophosaurus. It's because of Dennis that the titular prehistoric predators were able to eat people beyond their boundaries. As a Biosyn spy, Dennis was trying to steal the dino DNA for them, and would do so while shutting off security so that he wouldn't be trapped in. But in direct karma for doing so and releasing the dinos by extension, he ended up crashing his car in a rainstorm, having to try to get it back on stable ground with a rope. Even though he knew how OP the raptors were, he did not account for dilophosaurus, and even when he did meet one, he thought they wouldn't attack him. But after unwisely insulting it by treating it like a dog and threatening to kill it, he was quickly shown the error of his judgement as the frills and gross globs of poison were unleashed, which would cause enough deliberating pain for the young dilophosaurus to tear him apart. And yeah, you could say the fault lies on Hammond for not paying him enough, but that's no reason to endanger a bunch of lives and trust Biosyn; who knows what they could be planning. And Dennis' death happens about halfway through the movie, by the way. (SPOILERS for Jurassic World Dominion) And while we're at it, just about the same thing happened to Lewis Dodgson, the one who represented Biosyn and hired Dennis. While Lewis wasn't as much of an asshole to the dilophosaurus as Dennis was, they still killed him. Not going to go into too much detail, but it was pretty poetic justice.
In all fairness, Howard from 10 Cloverfield Lane was far more motivated by everyone's survival than by truly evil intentions. Not the best human on the planet, but not really a bad guy (at least during the events of the movie itself) : He just wanted to stay alive and keep the other two characters alive as long as possible, as well. Opening the door was a death sentence for everyone. Sure, he had quite the shady past, but, during the events of the movie, he only wanted to live and keep others alive.
At the end of the day, HE WAS RIGHT. He isn't a villain, he just seems like one to a person who doesn't recall who he is, what happened and wakes up in a strange underground bunker. But you'd think as ridiculous as it sounds, the way he gets at the end of his own life, pleading with her NOT TO GO OUTSIDE because what he said is true, she would realize, he's telling the truth and trying to save her life even though she took his. SHE is the villain, she got herself and two others killed.
@@celebrityrog I wouldn't go as far as to call her a villain, since she was unconscious when the Alien invasion started and Howard was showing signs of emotional instability (and the 'HELP' message didn't 'help', either), but it's true that she caused the deaths of her savior and of her fellow survivor. Also, she did see the woman outside the bunker dying right in front of her, so she should have been more cautious.

I feel like John Kramer should be in here cause even tho he died in the end of one of the saw movies, in the next one he is still shown to have a lot of pull. Thus he is still the big bad and died before the movie even started.
As far as The Engineers go, there is apparently a canon event that states the entity we know as Jesus Christ was an Engineer. I'm guessing they'd want revenge for that lol. Also, humans tend to suck in those types of movies. Usually irresponsible, greedy, and hateful.
SAN-TAN-ICO, not Santaneeco. Lol. Sorry. That annoyed me a little.😆

Mrs Carmody from The Mist deserves a mention
Yup true.
Yup true.
Yeah, and Mason Veger
I don’t think David wiped out the Engineers or that those were even really the Engineers, as evidenced by the apparent lack of advanced technology.

Good call with tenebrae, especially since you'd recently found out he was the killer after the dog scene.

How do you mispronounce Santanico Pandemonium? Jeez.
These people don't actually watch the movies. It drives me crazy.
@@crowgrl13 it is incredibly annoying
Yeah, how could anyone ever mispronounce such a short, common, and simple name?
Was now going to comment that and then ran through the comments

Good video but you guys need to work on your ending. It ends so abruptly
They werent engineers, just another race created by them

Good list
The way she pronounces Santanico tells me she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. 😂
Marge Simpson was the Head vampire. She has a life outside her kitchen you know
Dr William weir from event horizon
Captain Miller was facing off against a demon not the real Doctor weir at the end of event
It's possible that weir was actually *transformed* in to demon. It's look like ship *had* some sentimentality toward its creator, so..

You deserved that headache for being whiney, so you're square with them.
Brain was always the leader and I would say Carie’s mom was the primary villain.
Hannibal has two main antagonists, Hannibal and Mason Verger, the latter of which is killed way before the end of the film

The main villain in Carrie is for sure the mom. Or Carrie for destroying that beautiful Chevelle.
Santa Claire-a 😂
The Gremlin movies are comedy with some action.
I wonder if Scream is just gonna intentionally devolve into a ridiculous, campy Ghostface battle royale. I'd watch it 😂
Same old movies, same old boring lists.
From dusk till dawn is an unintentional comedy not a horror.
I really hate they killed my future ex baby mama Selma Hayak so early in that movie 😢

There are so many clues, if you listen carefully.
Evidently, neither do those who write the scripts.

Can any villain be killed after the film ends?
The end implied in this context is near the conclusion of the 3rd act so these villains dying in the beginning of the 3rd act is dying before the end
No.
