Jim’s a legend and class act going back to the Holly Smokes days. Sadly, this is not the first, nor the last time that events like this will happen. In fact, ask the folks at Goodguys about their experiences with the Nostalgia Tour. For context, the March Meet funded the whole National Goodguys tour; however, the folks, in Glendale, took it upon themselves to take the Match Meet from the Goodguys. Until that point, the folks in Glendale never supported the tour. Respectfully, these cars don’t grow on trees. Mr. Murphy: thanks for the memories while just having fun!

Nice job guys, Too bad that kind of stuff goes on still. Been racing for40+ years and see it at local tracks occasionally, but wouldn't expect to see it at the level you guys are running at. Thanks for sharing and it's nice to see you back on the tube.
Mr. Hornet, I love your integrity on that whole situation. You totally got shafted. And I'm so sorry to hear that. What goes around comes around? And they will get their due. You did get robbed. I'm sorry to hear that as a fellow from Boise. I'm back in Portland Oregon now. And at Woodburn, we don't pull that crap we race and give everyone a chance if it takes 10 minutes we give it much less giving parts if needed
Being a child of the -60’s, I find this fascinating for drawing comparisons with the original cars, current nostalgia cars and current T/F’s. Seem to recall there being a lot less standardization for the various innovations of individual builders and teams, back in the day. Would be interesting to do the differences from these, to back in the day, as I’m sure there’s a number of differences for evolution of safety and technology. Fully understand your frustration with track / organization politics. That kinda sh*t is what kills things. Thanks for sharing!

You said it right fing bull. Sorry you guys had a rough outing with the car an to be turned away with out a time limit to pull in the lanes while hearing the other car fire up. Thanks for sharing. Definitely keep an eye out for any vids you post.
I've heard at Tulsa the last year to they've been screwing a lot of people around it's going to hurt him and eventually shut their track down and be sad but hopefully they get a crew in there that can run a proper it doesn't have that good luck to you buddy
That's heard throughout racing the last three to five years and don't worry buddy NHRA is going to be a thing of the past lot of people are building their own track and doing away with NHRA. The other rules that other track hold or as good or better and care about the racers
I get why Jim retired, you pour a lot of sweat, tears, blood and money into a car of this caliber and have it all balance on the whims of a couple pin heads who can't get their heads out of their own asses. Well without Jim maybe you will have time to get your own car finished and racing again.

Your driver (Mr. Murphy) could literally protest the entire season with this one move, *AND SHOULD* With a championship on the line, you take away THE ONE OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE DRAG RACINGS MOST ICONIC DRIVERS AND DECIDE THE CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE TRACK. Literally killing the sport.

They got these flow sensors, usually a turbine that spins although ultrasonic versions are available too.
